We usually get our cars washed near home (Oldsmar and Holiday Tidal Wave locations), but we were driving by and really needed our car washed. This location was good, with friendly and capable employees. The only disappointment was at the end of the wash, when a giant dryer drops down to the windshield, and dries the hood and top of the car. But it did not touch the hood and barely touched the top of the car. Husband got out to dry both when we pulled into the drying area. Everything else worked well. It's a good car wash so it's a little corny they have to scam you into a membership. I asked for a basic wash and was told they had a promo where today if you pay the price for a basic wash you can get a basic wash the rest of the month for free. I made sure to ask if there were any additional terms because that sounded too good to be true... and they said no no that's it, you just get a sticker and sign this. Well I guess they lied and somewhere in that fine print you get a recurring charge every month. So say no to any "promos" unless you really want to sign up for a monthly membership. read more

Tidal Wave is my favorite car wash! I have the affordable monthly membership and I like that I can roll in and roll out with a clean vehicle within a few minutes. This location wasn't over my packed so I was in and out in no time. I will return to this location. read more

Blown away how PERFECT this car wash is!!! Can't believe it...seriously. There's ALWAYS something wrong with car washes. Namely, the car is still dirty. Not here... 1. You're greeted so professionally. 2. You drive around and the 2nd person pre-brushes the front & rear before entering the wash. 3. Once inside you notice unlike most car washes where some brushes don't make full contact, they do here! 4. You pull around to the very large vacuum bay and notice everything is 100% covered overhead. No Sun beating down on you. 5. The vacuum's here work very well w/clean towels & window spray. Now you really see how CLEAN your car is. So impressed, as I've been trying all new car washes opening around St. Pete. And it's not crammed on a small parcel of land either. VERY spacious. Far and away this is my #1!!! read more

This is the best and let me explain why. I used to go to Woodies in south st Pete and they seemed pretty good but the platform that your car goes on doesn't guarantee an even wash and my wheels were never clean. I spent more time cleaning my wheels than the entire process. I also hated how much tire dressing went on my tires. Really bad. Tidal Wave doesn't use that platform system and the tires get clean. The dressing isn't too much as well. It's just the right amount. The towels at Woodies were dirty and smelled. The music from their own system plus everyone else's music was aggravating. I also tried Shine Auto with a recent free wash just to see and it's definitely a budget car wash. There aren't enough bays to take your time and although the price is less than Tidal Wave, it's definitely not the same as far as brushes and product or even length of time in the wash. The difference between the 15$ a month at Shine vs 23$ a month at Tidal is vast. Tidal Wave is a high end wash. The money put into the wash and the bay structures is far superior. The vacuums are top notch. No crazy music and really worth the only 8$ more a month for the basic. I do the Hot Wax and pay about $29 but the wax is no joke and you can see that it works. Woodies is trendy and looks hip but a lot of things just aren't the quality of Tidal Wave. Tidal Wave will also high pressure wash your wheels if you ask and do a prep if needed. Tidal wave 100% over Woodies and Shine. Worth the money and worth the drive. Also, really nice staff and a bunch of smart employees. Love them all. read more

Got the free wash for new customers. It was empty on a Thursday at 4:30-5:00p. The attendant did some scrubbing on the outside of the car before the wash which was nice! Not sure which wash was included with the promotion. Car came out clean, including the wheels, used the vacuum after and they also have towels & cleaning sprays for you to detail your car. Would not go out of my way to come back to this location since I only happened to be in the area that one day, but would use again if I was close by & the price was right. read more
