Pete's crew did a great job on some very dirty carpet. We hired them to work on an empty house before we moved in. The carpet was so bad. Ground-in greasy stains everywhere, black dirt trails in the high traffic lanes, and some dog tinkle in a few small places. Some other company had allegedly worked on it beforehand, but it didn't look like they had made any difference. We chose Chem-Dry because we liked their natural/nontoxic soaps, and also because they don't flood the carpet with gallons of water. It's berber, so we wanted to keep the water to minimum. Everyone we spoke with at Chem-Dry was super nice. They arrived on time the next morning. They were friendly, organized, and professional. It was a fun, comfortable afternoon with some great guys who truly seemed to care. They stayed for a long time until they got it perfect. Example: I called Green Dog ChemDry from mail booklets for discounts and they refused to send someone out to quote me, said they only send them out to do the job and then give you a price after you are committed! Sorry I won't deal with a company like that. So I took a chance and called Tidewater ChemDry and spoke to a wonderful young lady, Casey Bradshaw at 757-424-3615 explained that my parents' home was empty due to Alzheimer's they are now in memory care and I am in charge of clearing out their home, getting it cleaned up and ready to put on the market to sell. They worked with me and sent Pete out to give me a quote, went through the house and measured everything so he could give me a solid quote. Gave me 2 types of cleaning - Regular or Superior and I selected the Superior due to the stains throughout the house (each room but one was dirty and stained, the kitchen Berber carpet was the worst). They scheduled me for a week out and I was happy that part was over, they then called me when they had an opening for the next day, I quickly said yes come on over. Pete and Shawn came out and after 3 hours of hard work, the entire house of 2,000 Sq. Ft. was completed and out of all the stains and dirty areas I would say 90% of the carpet was back to looking like new. They had said that certain stains might not come out and I was not surprised at that, but overall the house smells and looks so much better now. Absolutely would recommend for so many reasons. The owner, Peter, was exceptional to work with. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and very communicative. Prices were very reasonable and competitive and he offered several options. They were on time to the appointment, called on their way, introduced both people who would be working in my home and were respectful of my family and home. They went above and beyond and moved things I didn't think that they would so they could get as much of the carpet cleaned as possible. The carpets were 10 years old the prior homeowners did not take good care of them at all - we thought we would have to replace them but Peter and his team got all the stains and smells out and saved us from having to do that right away. I had spilled an oil reed diffuser on my almost white carpet and assumed I was going to have to replace the carpet. Jimmy and Shawn worked on the area and you never would know it had happened. These guys do the BEST work! We had honey on our carpet from our toddlers and had another company come out first. The other company left our carpet wet for 48 hours and the stain came back through and was still slightly sticky. We then called these guys and not only was their customer service sooo much better but it was actually less expensive and I swear my. Carpet looks brand new.
