After spending a couple of thousand dollars on multiple items including a purse and a dog collar that was about $200 a bottle of perfume and a pair of sunglasses in one stop Well on a business trip to Kansas City Service in the store was great as far as I could tell. Until I realized that the sunglasses did not Sit nicely on my face. My idea is to give the sunglasses to my mother for her birthday. I politely called up and spoke to a man and a woman asking them to provide me simply with the bag with the dimensions and length of the rectangular box for the sunglasses as their policy is one bag per item but I purchased multiple items so the not so gentleman told me that he want to launch a full investigation into my purchase and that it would take a week I just called back again. And now I talk to a young lady who is just as rude and inconsiderate and don't understand that not only did I spend thousands of dollars in that store Flip back in New York City my husband dropped $11,000 on a dragonfly Broach.. and these people want to give me a hard time about sending me a paper bag and I simply asked "I don't understand why you just won't give me a paper bag it's not made of diamonds" I wasn't even shouting or talking to her in a demeaning way I just could not believe the level of disrespect I was getting over a simple bag! Sometimes I really like this place and other times I feel like they look down on you when you're not spending $20,000 on an engagement ring. I've gotten a few things from Tiffany & Co over the past couple years as anniversary/birthday/Christmas presents from my boyfriend. The last time, I was told that the ring that he got me was discontinued and the guy that was helping us would look into it and give me a call the next day. I was perfectly fine picking something else out if need be, but he made it seem like he may have it at another store so that was our "Plan B". It's been over a week and I haven't gotten a call regarding if there is any chance that there's another size out there. That's not the point though... It's the fact that I was led to believe it wouldn't be an issue for him to find another one so I let him take a shot at finding it. I have a few pieces of Tiffany jewelry, but thanks to my husband (who knows my tastes and tends to surprise me with jewelry, rather than shopping with me), I had actually never visited the store before yesterday. I was in town for a work event and managed to stop by around lunchtime. Nowadays I'm only ever on the plaza on weekends, but it was so nice being the only customer in the store during a weekday. Everyone was so friendly! I wasn't purchasing jewelry, but having a charm I received as a gift soldered to my charm bracelet. They don't perform this service in stores, but I met with Amy in the customer service room and we decided where on the bracelet to add the charm and reviewed the whole process, top to bottom. Since I don't live in town anymore, I requested to have the jewelry sent to my home, and Amy even helped me choose my shipping preferences. She was wonderful and friendly and I felt totally at ease leaving my jewelry in her hands. Even though I wasn't making a purchase, I never felt like they were unhappy spending their time with me. They gave me tons of attention and I feel like I could have spent thousands of dollars and still gotten the same courteousness and friendliness. So while Tiffany will never be a spur of the moment splurge for me, I definitely plan to come back next time I'm adding to my jewelry collection. read more

It's been a while since I made a purchase at Tiffany. It's not the type of place I just randomly bop into and make an impulse purchase. In fact, it might be quite a while before I have the occasion to go back. But the next time I need a fancy gift that is at once understated and showy, I'll head straight to Tiffany & Co. I'm not going to go too in depth with the product line. You should know what to expect. They sell jewelry, watches and fine gifts. In my particular occasion, I was looking for a nice pen. They had a good selection of nice pieces, and the prices ranged from around $100 to $350. It didn't take me long to narrow down my selection, and I left quite happy with a gift I knew the recipient would appreciate and keep for the rest of his life. What really sold me on Tiffany was the level of customer service. I know that I wasn't exactly purchasing a high dollar item, but they never acted as if I wasn't as important as a guy buying a huge rock of an engagement ring. The gentleman that assisted me was kind, helpful, and knew when to just back off and let me examine the merchandise for myself. To me spending $250 or so on a pen is a major purchase, and due to his level of customer service, I left the store feeling excellent about my decision. What's more? A couple of weeks later I received a hand-written thank you note for making the purchase. Top notch, I tell you. I know there are a lot of options for jewelry here in KC, and many are locally owned (which is typically more my style). But because I know that I'll be taken care of so excellently, I'll make sure to give Tiffany & Co my first walk-through when making this type of purchase in the future. read more

Any of my several experiences at this store in Kansas City's tony Plaza shopping area have been marked with sterling customer service and outstanding jewelry products. Tiffany and Co is synonymous with a higher standard of jewelry product and you'll definitely pay for that moniker. I've had people ask me "you can buy the same ring or set of earrings at another store for a fraction of the cost, why shop at Tiffany?" The answer is two fold: 1.) it's Tiffany's and that branding goes a long when comparing quality of items, and 2.) my wife likes little blue boxes. Walking in to this store is like walking into a different neighborhood and immediately sensing something is different. Maybe it's the two ton doors you have to pry open to enter. Maybe it's the suited security guard who is the first to greet you at the door. Maybe it's the diamond rings and accoutrements that can easily hit six digits sitting right in front of you. Despite the sheer opulence of many of the items in the store, there are still reasonably priced items to choose from. My latest visit here was for a aquamarine ring celebrating the birth of our son. There's a Goldilocks theory here. The first ring I saw was $6500, the next was $135, and the third had to be ordered at a price point in between. If you are looking for something specialized like aquamarine, your choices are going to be more limited than if you are looking for sterling silver, or diamonds, of course. They didn't have the ring I wanted but ordered it from another store and will sized it to my wife's content. I'll be back here, but not often. For me, this is a special occasion shop reserved for the most special of events - birthdays, anniversaries, births, etc... Customers here won't be disappointed. Yet another Tiffany's in the US of A. Every time I come across one in my travels, I make sure to stop by and see if anything catches my eye. Tiffany jewelry isn't exactly an, "It's Tuesday!" purchase in my world, but it's always fun to jewelry case shop, and save up for my next piece. There were three or four people on staff, which seemed a bit much for a Tuesday early afternoon, but it's better to be a little overstaffed rather than understaffed. Employees were present but not pushy, which was great for my browsing needs. I've got my heart set on getting a pair of silver earrings soon, but they keep changing the offerings - I've gotta be ready to make a purchase the next time I find something I love. read more

We went in with a budget and told our salesperson, Betty, exactly what I liked in a ring: round diamond, solitaire, thin platinum band. Betty never eschewed from that list and never tried to get us to buy something more expensive. It's a Tiffany's. They have nice stuff, the staff is well trained and take pride in a professional appearance. I always enjoy the help I get trying to find the 'right' item, and the support for when I don't quite get it right and we bring it back for a modification etc. The only thing I don't like compared to other Tiffany's is that they wrap your stuff out of sight.... like they're trying to keep the bow of the blue box a secret - always makes me nervous becuase IF someone were to ever be shady, I wouldn't know till I gave the gift. This is the girliest little fetish about me. My infatuation with Tiffany & Co. Started when I was a little girl from my grandma who loved them also and has carried on through me I suppose. The class, poise, elegance of what it stands for is timeless. OK, corniness over. If you have any Tiffany jewelry at all you know how wonderful the customer service is and how special they make you feel even when you are going to get a 100.00 necklace cleaned. They treat all their customers with care and tact. People might have the idea that they are only paying for the Little Blue Box with the name on it, but it is so much more. Their diamonds are stunning and unique, not one the same. I have gone in several times (dreaming of course) and tried on rings.... not being dressed up, not having any intention of buying, but they let me try on more than I expected with knowing that I had no intention to keep one. They educated me about the cuts, colors, and clarity, as well as being friendly and kind, they were great about letting me know of all the affordable options for every budget. The best thing about Tiffany's is that their pieces are timeless and classic. Everything I own I plan to pass along to my son/daughter to give them the same experience I got to have with my grandma. - Even if they don't like it - what girl can say no to Tiffany's! read more

Most unfriendly Tiffany's I've ever visited. Store was completely empty, no one greeted me or offered to help me until I pointedly stood there staring at one of the employees. I have bought items at Tiffany's in New York City, LA, Nashville, Cincinnati, and Carmel and the staff are always very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel special. I asked to see several of the silver charms and one of them was at another counter. When I picked the other two up to carry them across, the salesperson acted like she thought I was going to steal them. This was in dramatic contrast to the store on 5th Ave in NYC (which I visited last month). When shopping at Tiffany's you are paying for not only the jewelry, but the experience. Sadly, the experience here is sorely lacking and I would have been better off making my purchase online. I recognize that I wasn't spending a lot (I bought three silver charms), but at the other stores, I've been treated like queen - regardless of how much I spent. read more

A visit to the Tiffany & Co. store on the Country Club Plaza isn't just "shopping" -- it's a brand experience. And nobody in retail does brand experience like Tiffany. I'm a huge fan of several Tiffany sterling silver collections, so we're frequent visitors. While ALL of the sales representatives are also tremendous brand ambassadors, my personal favorite is the incomparable Gale Lawton. He's so much more than a "sales person". He's Tiffany, personified. Always remembers your name and face, always remembers what you purchased last, what your tastes are, etc. ALWAYs gives terrific advice and follows up on every request or question. This Tiffany store is always doing something unique for customers. Example: during the Plaza art fair, we stopped in. We were greeted with a buffet of Tiffany blue lemonade, Tiffany blue macaroons, and a lovely breakfast buffet. Incredible! The customer service at Tiffany is consistently outstanding -- nothing compares to it. So if you're at Country Club Plaza and want to experience something unique in terms of retail, stop by and see the wonderful people at Tiffany & Co.! read more

This is an excellent establishment to make purchases for gifts such as weddings or housewarmings. The staff are well-trained and always professional. I always feel comfortable to shop and browse at my own pace. I generally stick to houseware and dinnerware for gifts. As of fall of 2012, the home section was downsized so there are fewer options. I still was able to purchase a beautiful crystal vase as a wedding gift. If you have the extra room in a budget, a trip here is well worth it and you are almost certain to find something to fit budgets of $100 - $300. read more

Great customer service! Had a bracelet that the charm (blue heart with enamel) had chipped off, and hadn't even had it for a year. Went in and talked with customer service and showed them the broken bracelet. The women went back and said that the company discovered that there was a flaw in making this batch of bracelets I and others had and since then, has fixed the issue. So I was able to just exchange the broken one with a new one, free of charge! The entire time I was there, I was treated VERY nice and everyone was very friendly! read more
