I picked a flocked tree this year, and found the perfect one in 10 minutes! It looks like real snow. The "elves" carefully bagged it and loaded it on top of the car and it made it home safely. But that's because their space is limited, I think. They do often have a very good selection of different species, though, that's for sure. The reason they're the best is because of the amount of care and attention they put into those plants. The reason they're the best is because the lady and her daughter that work there will go out of their way to answer any question you might have about anything they sell and they are very well educated on the plants they sell. In fact, they won't just answer your questions, they'll educate you on those plants as well. And they'll do it very nicely and you will feel as though actually learned something while you were there. They LOVE gardening and caring for plants and it shows. The nursery is located on a residential lot and the whole place just seems like a homeowner's dream garden. I imagine that's exactly what they were aiming for. ;) There is a mighty oak at the entrance and I really wish they sold the kind of tree people faces that she has on it, but she told me it was quite old and can't get them anymore. I haven't needed anything for my garden in a couple years because many of my plants just keep coming back, but when I do require something I will always stop here FIRST. If they don't have it, they will tell you when/if they expect to get what you need and you can come back and be assured that you will be getting the best specimens and that they were handled with care before you bought them. When you walk in, you'll find one of these nice ladies either working with a customer or caring for the plants. Never just sitting around twiddling their thumbs. Always helping out or doing something around the nursery. They will help you with whatever you need. Specific questions, general care of any plant, even if they don't sell it, and they're even nice enough to give advice to you on gardening care at home or about trees or plants that you already have. What I'm trying to say here is, their customer service is top notch and goes above and beyond what you'd expect from a business because caring for plants isn't just their business, it's obviously a hobby and a labor of love for them and that is why you need to start HERE when you need something for your garden.

I've been coming here for three years and bought dozens of plants here, and driven up from Mandeville just to ask them questions about things. They're always helpful, if they're busy, just wait a minute and ask them, they're generous wIth their time, the owner has been super helpful and gone WAY out of his way to solve some problems with my roses. I really can't say enough about this place. And I would definitely rather give my money to a local business then to the big box, and people at the big box have no idea of plants and growing, they're just clicking on a barcode. Yeah, I'm biased but I love this place

Reached out to the nursery and did not get a response back. I've been to the location personally and majority of the plants are not labeled or priced. I asked the employee if they had more monsteras than the one inside the store. She said no; I was able to find a big row of them on outside.

I have only used this company once so far. This company was recommended by one of my neighbors…read moreafter I found a bunch of debris to include thorns and pieces of bushes in the pine straw, we purchased from Garden Spot in Mandeville. The pine straw that was delivered by Gomez was free of debris, but it was dyed red and got bright red dust all over my freshly painted white brick, all over my driveway, and the red dye/powder was so bad that we had to throw away my shoes and clothes after putting it down because it wouldn't wash out. It should be noted I ordered regular undyed pine straw and even used multiple neighbors addresses as examples to describe exactly what I wanted. I contacted the company after the order issue and within a few days George called me back. He explained that someone in the office made an error and sent me the red pine straw that none of my neighbors use but that my HOA uses for the main areas. He sent one of the workers out to pick up the remaining roll I had and to refund the 1 roll that they picked up. He further advised that the red dye would not harm all our freshly done landscaping and sprinkler system. I have mixed feelings about this company. I am disappointed that they made the mistake in the first place and of course charged me for and gave me the more expensive pine straw that I didn't want. But I do give them credit for taking accountability and not making excuses. I plan to give them one more try when it's time to freshen up our pine straw and allow them the chance to get a 4 or 5 star and keep our business.

Poor customer service, over priced plants and items, and rude remarks what more can you ask for?!…read more I didn't realize that when you go to return a defective item to this store that you become subject to being badmouthed in front of other customers. I was going to purchase several hibiscus from them even though they sold me a defective item until I hear them openly bad mouthing me for wanting to return a $60 solar lamp that didn't even work. Definitely will not be supporting this business any longer, and it's a shame because I enjoyed shopping there, but it's okay I won't shop somewhere for inconveniencing someone to do their job.
