They called him at noon on a Saturday and asked him to keep the shop open a bit longer so they could send me over. This was the first of many kind, "above-and-beyond" things David did for me and my wedding! Searching for a florist (or anything) for a wedding is terrible - everything with "wedding" associated with it is immediately 30-60% more expensive. David at Ann's Porch is the most honest, personable businessman. He didn't try to upsell me, he met with me and my mom and grandma on short notice, he recommended colors and combinations of flowers to achieve my vision, and did everything (which wasn't a small order) inside my budget. Even when we found that we could afford a little extra (just for his trouble) he wouldn't accept it. He is a VERY rare find when it comes to a merchant and treats every single one of his customers as if they are the most important person to him. He treats you like family - better than some people's family really! My grandmother was just smitten with him as well because aside from doing beautiful flowers, he is a lovely, entertaining person! This is on the west side of Martha Berry Highway in a row of the shops right off the main street. There is parking right in front of the store. It is a gift shop and a cafe/coffee shop. This means that it looks unlike any restaurant that you have probably visited. That is one of the things that gives it charm. The cafe/coffee shop is at the back of the store. The menu is on the wall and includes Bagels, panini's wraps and pizzas. We tried the cinnamon roll and another pastry. The prices were very reasonable with most entrees between $8 and $11. The staff was very friendly. We ordered at the counter and they heated the food up and brought it to our table. Seating is an eclectic mixture of tables and chairs and couches inside and some tables outside on the sidewalk. We decided to sit by the window and found the experience very enjoyable. My wife enjoyed the coffee and the pastry and I liked the cinnamon roll. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience with nice staff, good food, great prices in a comfortable environment.
