Tiger Rock has been wonderful for our family. My boys (8&10) are learning respect and self control, in addition to humility and community. We tried many sports before finding the Keeton's school. We've been here a little over a year now, the boys are both blue belts and first level certified in three weapons. They finally talked me into joining too and next month I'll test for my 5th belt. I decided to try out TR with my son in the summer of 2017. He was very indecisive as to what he wanted to do as his sport, but I wanted him to have something. At that point, I was looking for something to interest him and teach him some responsibility. You know the saying, "It takes a community to raise a child?" This is that type of a community. I didn't join a gym, we joined a family! As they say, "A family who kicks together, sticks together!" The programs at Tiger Rock has helped improve all three of my kids. My son has been there a few years and his overall attitude and outlook before and after is as different as night and day. His improvement helped encourage both his younger sisters to also join. The program is well paced and being part of a very large corporate presence provides for several closed tournaments a year at the district, national and world level, in VA, NC and this year world's in LA. My kids each has been in several extra-curricular activities; t-ball, soccer, basketball, softball, dance, cub-scouts, girl-scouts, horse ridding, in hopes that each would find something that they enjoy, and would get them in an activity that is year around, would allow for personal growth at their own pace and form friendships. I think, and see that Tiger Rock providing the opportunity and growth to each of my very different kids, was a very good choice for my family. read more
