Obviously I wasn't in great shape coming in but the instructors (thanks, Katie!) have been so wonderful about helping with modifications when needed and encouraging me to push harder when I find something I'm good at. Class is different every day so I haven't gotten bored and I hurt after every class because I can put so much into it. I never thought I could feel like this after just an hour a couple of times per week. I feel so much stronger!!! Thank you so much for providing such a great program at such an affordable rate! I avoided many gyms because if the price but I just couldn't argue with $29/month for boot camp classes. I can't thank you enough! Looking forward to buying new clothes!!!

We came to The Goddard School of Carlisle from another day care facility and our experience has…read morebeen night and day. At the time of this writing we have been there just short of a year. The school is extremely clean and welcoming by every teacher we have encountered. The Goddard School programming in general has a good reputation, however the staff currently implementing the programming at this school are absolutely excellent. We have to say the development of our child has improved drastically - that includes physical development, emotional development, and milestone development. It appears most teachers intermingle with all classes and our child is very familiar with all staff - you can see that at drop off and pick up as they always address our child by name. I would also like to touch on the ongoing confidence boost the current teachers are giving my child. They really interact and get to know the children and it really makes such a difference. Our child loves going in there. The hours are absolutely convenient for us which is not something we had before. The benefit of when my husband travels is that I don't have to leave work early to pick our child up and we can use that extra time. We do need to pack breakfast (unless you have time to give this at home) and lunch - which in the grand scheme is really fine with me now. It was a learning curve at first, but it gives me the opportunity to nutritionally decide what I will send in. Sometimes when other daycares are funded, the food is mass produced - and kind of gross. The school provides two snacks a day - this is very helpful! From our experience, you really get what you pay for. Here we see that we have made an investment in our child's future (even though still very young). We have another child on the way and could not imagine not enrolling our newest in this program. Like I said - the program is great - but the teachers hired really make it for us. We would 10/10 recommend this school.

We moved to the Carlisle area from Reading, PA where our son was previously enrolled in a Goddard school. Since the move, our son has not missed a beat. They offer a variety of programs and even have a summer intensive program which really helps develop those elite athletes looking to take the next step on their journey's! The owner is very friendly and he really cares about every athlete. He really wants to see each athlete better themselves and shows no care about just collecting their money like other gyms might. Ignite has also sent about 300 athletes to college within the past 5 years and is also home to an MLG pro and a NWHL MVP. These are some incredible feats for the program, but doesn't show how hard each athlete really works. I highly recommend coming in and seeing how hard each athlete works and how great the owner is. If you are serious about getting to college athletics this is the place for you. Not only will it get you in the best shape of your life it will also strengthen you and prevent injuries. This isn't just the best place for your buck it is the best place for athletes in the state of PA and potentially even the country!

The other kids seem to enjoy it too. The parents were very social, which is nice. I recommend starting your child off at ignite to prep for sports. If your kid is dead serious about pursuing a scholarship through athletics, then a more expensive facility might be a better fit. Still, ignites really neat for the begginer athelete. Staff is extremely rude and condescending. Guy at the skate concession was rude when we asked for…read moreskates, we used the wrong term when referring to the type of skate and he was extremely condescending about it. Staring at us like he didn't know what we meant and then rudely correcting us in a condescending tone. then while skating we were approached by a worker and told to get closer to the middle or get off the rink because we were skating "too slow" for the outside, when we were skating at a normal pace. We told him we just wanted to be closer to the outside and felt more comfortable, and he just said "well sorry" and skated away. There are multiple skating rinks in this area that have never showed that kind of behavior and allowed anyone of any ability to skate. This is not one of them. They punish the "slower" (normal speed) skaters disguising it as "not wanting you to get hit" instead of the people zipping around and tripping people. Saying all this without even mentioning the fact that while skating I was approached by a man who I'm pretty sure either works there or is a regular, and he attempted to flirt with me. Very awkward and strange. I don't recommend this place.

Despite his attempt to present valid identification proving he was 21 years old, Sarah refused to believe it, mocked the situation using air quotes about his "real age," and continued to escalate the issue. Once it became clear she could not justify her claim about his age, she abruptly shifted her reasoning, stating that he was not "chaperoning a child" and had to leave. The young man, like the rest of us, was a paying customer. He had purchased both entry and skate rental. There was absolutely no justification for the treatment he received--other than the fact that he is a young Black man. What made this even more painful was the clear contrast in how our white friend, who also had no skates and remained seated at our table, was completely ignored and never harassed by staff. The racial bias and discrimination from Sarah, the security guard, and other staff members were blatant. The overall environment was hostile, disrespectful, and unsafe. We ultimately made the decision to leave as a group, feeling dehumanized and unwelcome. To add further insult, the young man who had paid for entry and skate rentals was treated as if he were not a legitimate customer. The staff, including the girl at the skate rental window, were disrespectful when attempting to return our shoes, even citing minor issues like not "tucking" the laces into the skates. We were only at the facility for about an hour in total, but it was enough time to experience clear racial profiling, harassment, and unprofessional behavior by the staff. This is not the kind of experience any paying customer should ever endure.
