At my kids' first tournament, my 7 year old went up against the 7 year old bully. The whole mat h, the older son was giving instructions for his brother to elbow my son the the face. My son won. After the match, while waiting for the next match, the 13 year old boy came up behind my 7 year old, picked him up in the air, and threw him, landing him on his arm, and hurting him. When I spoke to the owners, not only did they not reprimand the 13 yr old, but they said I "should've been watching" and it's just rough housing. I am absolutely disgusted by an establishment that would allow bulling new students. If I could give them a 0 I would.

I do Strength-training with Alaa twice a week and going to kick boxing class once a week. So far the return on my mental and physical health is going great! I see my body changing and improving from all the quarantine weight I've put on and unhealthy eating in the last year. I'm strong but now focusing that strength on where my weaknesses are and building on that so I can be fit, toned, losing weight, and hype to see more results ! I love the short videos he takes to show progress through the weeks and months and helps to show where my techniques can improve. Individualized personal training from an Olympian and World Champion? Who doesn't want that? Kick boxing is a great way to finish the week and is so fun to now (safely with masks and vaccinated population) to return to group participation and really kick some ass. I've never done kick boxing before and I'm having such a great time learning all the moves, getting coordinated and landing some awesome kicks and punches. And having fun doing throws too. He keeps a well maintained and clean gym.
