Five star vet right here!!!!! The ladies at the front desk are always sweet, friendly, and responsive. The lobby is always clean and if a dog makes it dirty they quickly clean it up. Now I cannot rave about our vet Dr Kaala enough. She takes her time, builds our dogs trust, and genuinely cares. From the moment she walks in the room, she is calm and kind, she gets on his level, and she takes her time to let him warm up. She is a wonderful example to her staff and sets a perfect tone. No matter how many times our dog walks away from her, she keeps her cool and encourages him back. She talks us through his care and makes sure all our questions are answered (yes we are those very involved dog parents). Dr Kaala is truly a gem and we are so grateful to have been recommended to go to her. We drive 40 minutes just go to Tiger Tails based of a recommendation from a friend who also drives that far! Tiger Tails had been my dog's primary vet for at least 4 years. I brought my dog to Tiger Tails after an emergency hospital visit the night before due to vomiting and fever. The emergency hospital had given him a fever-reducing shot that was supposed to last 24 hours. When we arrived at Tiger Tails first thing the next morning, we clearly told the staff and doctor about this and that it had only been 12 hours since it was given. The doctor took his temperature, did a quick checkup, and said he was fine -- then sent us home. We had pleaded that it was strange he wasn't eating or drinking and he was vomiting with hints of blood, but she kept insisting that he may have just ate something bad or just elder dog symptoms. Just 13 hours later, my dog passed away. I trusted Tiger Tails to take our concerns seriously and to monitor him properly after everything he had been through, but I feel that they dismissed his condition too easily. I am heartbroken and will never forget how this was handled. Please be cautious and make sure your pet gets the thorough care they deserve. read more

We just adopted a rescue from the animal shelter, and we absolutely fell in love. She is absolutely perfect. Very early on she started developing a cough and then wheezing, and then runny nose and I was so concerned I couldn't wait two more days for my already scheduled vet apt with another place. I called Tiger tails as soon as they opened this morning and I spoke with Jordan, and she was so unbelievably kind and helpful. She worked her butt off to get us in as early as possible, and even called me back twice to offer two earlier times, which we took. As soon as we got there we were greeted with super friendly staff. They led us to our excluded room (because of the cough) and every single vet tech and vet that came in was amazing. They were so gentle and loving to my baby, and explained everything they were doing. She did a thorough examination, asked questions, and determined it was kennel cough and sent me off with two different meds. I am a pretty anxious person when it comes to illnesses, especially since this is my first dog I personally own, but they were so welcoming and understanding, putting me at ease. I have been a client with Tiger Tails at the Duluth, Georgia location for 9 years and the service was good. However, I am now leaving because they sent me an estimate for a surgical procedure for my precious fur baby (Shih Tzu) that shows a 67% increase in price from when it was performed in January 2024. When I spoke with Sue, the owner/manager, her explanation was the economy, their new equipment, extra employees and overhead. Really? I also found out that this second surgical procedure could have possibly been avoided if Tiger Tails had better handled post operative care for my fur baby. I love Tiger Tails! Everyone is friendly, professional, clearly happy to be there and love animals. The facility is observing covid sanitation guidelines and the procedures are like clockwork! No need to wait or be confused about where to go and what to do, just pull up to a parking spot and someone is helping you instantly. I didn't realize what I was missing until I came here... I didn't know that I didn't have to wait hours after my appointment time before being seen, that customer service reps are actually supposed to call me back, that there are friendly receptionists out there that actually like animals, and vets that make eye contact and want to answer all your questions. Doctor Alex was so nice, patient and understanding, even when my dog was being a jerk that day to everyone -_- I'm afraid I don't remember the nurses/vet techs' names but they were so so sweet and patient with my dog, even when he was just not having it that day. They also have dog health plans which are really reasonable in price and I ended up getting the whole year plan with them. One week after taking my dog to Tiger Tails and having Dr Zach give her a steroid ear wash, she was diagnosed at the new vet with an ear infection. This vet was confused as to why she was prescribed a steroid ear wash that could have exacerbated or incited this ear infection. Dr Zach caused harm to our puppy and refused to refund this cost, even though it was a pre op visit and he did not treat her ear infection, instead prescribing the wrong thing for her. read more

What good service can you find that is better than professionalism combined with kindness? I had a great experience with a dental cleaning Dr. Jodi and April did on my dog. It was amazing. I had done a dental cleaning a couple of years ago over at Rose Animal Hospital, and it was an awful experience for us- so I assumed it was going to be similar this time. Not at all!! The first time at Rose, they only did a dental cleaning, and our puppy was groggy for two days and didn't look well for a week. She also made weird sounds in her throat for months. I thought that's how a dental cleaning experience was, so I really was dreading this next experience. This time over at Tiger Tails they did a dental AND they also had to extract two molars. The experience was SO different and SO much better. Even though they extracted two molars, my lovely dog was SO happy and had SO much energy when we left the office that I had to take her to the park later that day for a walk. She was jumping around and wagging her tail like if she hadn't had any procedure done to her. She even rolled over to play with a puppy at the park. I was AMAZED!! I decided to get an 8 week puppy and of course he needed his first set of shots and an overall check up. I got him in the middle of COVID19 and a lot of places where either closed or shortened their business hours. This location was still open and staff was so kind and helpful. I love Tiger Tails! I live almost 30 minutes away a but their staff is amazing. Dr. Kim is who I take my Goldendoodle Donut to see when he is not well or when it's time for his wellness shots. Dr.Kim is also very responsive when I call and she always listens and addresses my concerns. I've also boarded Donut and he comes home with a free bath after a certain amount of days he's boarded. Today I took my new puppy to Tiger Tails. Originally my appointment was on Wednesday but my puppy had some stomach issues so I called first thing this morning to see if she could come today. They took her in within a few hours! The veterinarian and her assistants were wonderful. My puppy, Alaska, was happy and wagging her tail the entire visit even though she was poked with needles(ouchie!). They answered all my paranoid new puppy parent questions. Love this place! My dogs have been going to a different vet in Chamblee - However, Tiger Tails Animal Hospital is very close to my house and I've heard of a lot of good things from everyone about it. So last Friday, my husband and I took all of our 3 dogs (Max, Gus and Mattie) to Tiger Tails and that was one of the best decisions ever. When I got into the lobby, it was very clean and it had drinks/coffee for the guests. Also, the most stressful thing of taking the dogs to the vet has been waiting in the lobby with 3 big dogs wanting to play with everyone. But Tiger Tails just put us into a room right after we got there which was a deal maker for me. When vet techs came in, they gave so much loving to my dogs that I could tell they really really love the animals and truly care for them. Dr. Hannah was soooo nice to my fur-babies and also was very thorough - she was not rushing at all which I really appreciated. We liked it so much that we ended up signing all of 3 into the pet plan that they have - if you sign up and pay for full year, you get $50 initiation fee waived - So we did that for all three. We are very excited and thankful for this animal hospital and continue to use their services. :) I highly recommend this place. read more

You can easily tell a place apart when they have passion for what they do. It is so clear that this animal hospital truly loves and cares about animals. Our dog has some anxiety issues and mostly from a traumatic vet experience when we first moved here. Today was our first visit and I can guarantee I will be sharing to anyone who has a pet and recommending they come here. They were extremely accommodating and understanding. I know how difficult it can be to work with a dog well over 100 pounds who is scared and anxious but my husband was extremely impressed by everyone's calm demeanor and patience. Best Vet practice I have ever used. The entire staff loves pets and provides a great experience for you and your pet. I can't get my dogs to leave sometimes! I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. So glad we found them. We have 4 English bulldog puppies. One of the vets, Dr Carol, does breeding and is going to be an intricate part of our lives when we start breeding. Tiger tails is a great veterinarian hospital. My dogs love it there. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. I love that you pay your bills in the room as oppose to having to juggle your pets while paying the bill at the reception desk. You can tell they really love animals and they remember your pets name and greet them With a treat and the owner with a soft drink or water( it would be nice if it was a cocktail but you can't get everything). My vet is Dr Kim and she is fantastic. There is a reason they were voted "Bst veterinarian" hospital in consecutive years by Gwinnett Magazine.they have a a boarding area as well which is a little bit too pricey for me, but seems very popular. When I began coming here, I was super pleased. As time went on, more and more issues began happening and I grew unsatisfied. First, my dogs chart was constantly being confused with other charts. I understand there are many cocos but I make it a point to start with my name, my dogs name, and her breed. Vets have come in a few times with the wrong chart open. My dog is a chihuahua and they would come in looking at a French bull dog chart. Their staff is unfriendly and incompetent. The last straw I had was when I scheduled an appointment for a checkup. My mom took my dog to her appt to be turned away. She was told that coco did not have an appt. I called the vet and asked what was going on. I ended up asking for a manager. Before I was transferred the front desk girl told me, I had to pay a fee for a no show. Confused bc I never noshowed, I asked what she was talking about. She had another chart Open, not the French bull dog, but a chart with two dogs named Rocky and coco. Frustrated I just told her to immediately transfer me over to the manager. The manager was sweet and trying to understand where I was coming from but it all came down to the poor training of her staff. read more

From booking an appointment to follow up, this animal hospital is the best. Kristen and Lauren were super professional and provided amazing customer service, answering any questions I had in regards to booking or following up. I swear Dr Zach and Andrea can speak to my dog lol. Once they walked into the room, he calmed down and allowed Dr Zach to perform his first physical exam with no issues which has never happened with other vets. Once the physical exam was finished, Andrea took him to another room for further testing. Usually, I'm a little wary when this happens, but I felt comfortable and trusted Andrea. I also did not feel any pressure in receiving additional tests or medication. Dr Zach was straightforward and also provided some home remedies that may help in mitigating the pain my dog felt which I truly appreciated. All in all, my experience with Tiger Tails has been exceptional, and I now know which vet to go to when my dog is having any issues or for an annual check up. Thank you!! read more

My dog does not like to get a bath from strangers, much less her nails cut. Yet the people at tiger tails figure out a way to get it done. Before her next bath I will take advantage of their "happy visits." That is when you take your dog in just to see everyone, get loved on and get some treats. I found Tiger Tails and immediately loved the fact that they are AAHA accredited. We made an appointment for a general check up and fell in love with their set up as well. They immediately took us to a room to wait instead of everyone waiting in the waiting area so you don't have to worry about other dogs and their different personalities. They did the check up, and when I bought their wellness plan, they checked me out in the room as well. The doctor was very thorough in the exam, and answered all my questions. There was some miscommunication about the billing, but the owner immediately gave me a call and cleared it up for me. I love the vet, Dr. Suh, and will continue to go there.
