Weprin playground is a lovely, clean and well maintained playground. We spent a nice couple of hours here and had to peal my nephew off the slides when it was time to go home. There were quite a few benches in shaded areas to sit at while watching the kids play. There's also plenty of open space for scootering or biking. Also, they have a basketball court and handball courts for older kids. Alas, we don't live in the neighborhood otherwise we would be here more often.

I had some private lessons here with my friend/tennis coach. Everyone here is very friendly as they all seem to know each other. They also have a parking lot which is a huge plus in convenience. The courts are clay which is awesome. I'm used to playing outdoors so the clay was a pleasant surprise. The facility is very clean and the community is very encouraging. This is my go to location when the weather is sub par. Make sure you call in advance to reserve court time. There's only a few courts (maybe 5).

Court sprinklers wet the benches which are never wiped down so coats and belongings get soaked. Court fees are charged but users have to pay additional fee to town to use parking lot so many park on road. It's a long walk in. No round robins, public clinics, etc. so either have your own group to play or drill with or no options (even for town residents). Could be so much more.

Back in my day, it was much more limited: swimming took up about 80% of the time, with occasional trips to a run-down movie theater (where half the seats didn't work) and Adventureland amusement park. The one genuinely awesome activity was visiting this old-school arcade - that place was dope, and along with one kind bus monitor named Melissa, it's the only reason this review gets 2 stars. The camp's unprofessionalism and poor care really stand out in my memory. When I was 9, I had a bad fall that left scrapes all along the side of my face and knocked out one of my teeth - thankfully it was just a baby tooth and not a permanent one. Their idea of first aid? A band-aid and ice water in a plastic glove because they didn't even have proper ice packs. They didn't properly inform my mother about the extent of my injuries, so when I got home, she was shocked. She wrote a lengthy letter expressing her concerns about their negligence. Their response? The next day at camp, they pulled me aside to tell me I had "embarrassed them." I was just a kid who got hurt under their watch - what was there to be embarrassed about? The camp's staffing practices were concerning, to say the least. Instead of hiring qualified teachers or experienced childcare professionals, they filled positions with high school students as junior counselors and a few 18-22 year olds as the lead councelors. I remember overhearing them getting their monthly paychecks, well not overhear we were in an open field just sitting around cause that tends to happen there and then someone came with a whole bunch of envelopes and handed them out to them. I remember one girl received just $430 for four weeks of work, and she was visibly upset. At the time, as a kid, I thought that was a lot of money. Now I realize how absurd it was - less than $500 to watch other people's children for a month? No wonder the care was subpar. They were paying teenagers peanuts to handle significant responsibilities. Most of the bus monitors were incredibly mean to the kids, with one shining exception - Melissa. I still remember her decades later because she was the only one who showed genuine kindness. One counselor convinced a little girl to let her "borrow" her cell phone, then made international calls to the Dominican Republic (imagine that phone bill in the early 2000s!). Another counselor was eventually fired for being consistently cruel to the kids - she was clearly just there for the paycheck. While I see they've added more activities since my time there, my experiences were memorable for all the wrong reasons. Based on my time at Magic Day Camp, I wouldn't send my own children there. The administration seemed more focused on collecting fees than providing quality care and activities for the kids. That old arcade was amazing and Melissa was a saint, but two bright spots don't make up for everything else.

amazing pickleball and tennis facility in port washington! i've come here to play both sports…read morenumerous times - the facility is extremely clean and well maintained as they have so many pickleball and tennis courts. for the tennis courts they have both hard courts and then green clay courts, which are always in top conditions. they offer various clinics, programs, and tournaments for both sports - i love attending the zone tennis and up/down pickleball on sundays. the staff is very friendly and their memberships are very reasonable. even if you want to rent a court to hit for an hour or two, very fair pricing.

I went in and was greeted by the super friendly Dominican staff. Typical greeting of "hello beautiful, how can I help you today my little friend?" Now normally that seems disrespectful and unprofessional, but trust me they don't mean any malice. It's just a Dominican thing I guess. Anyways, I told them I wanted to do my taxes and they said to give them a minute so they could give me an estimate of what I would get. 10 minutes later they had processed my numbers and would give me a pretty good return. I told them I needed the paperwork quickly so I could fill out some school forms and they told me to come back tomorrow when everything would be ready. THE NEXT DAY at 9am my forms were completed. All I paid was $90 and got some grade A work done. Super fast! They are there to make your life that much easier and will work with you to get your taxes done right. Other places make you wait for ever and charge you soo much to just give you the smallest return possible-- not at Marathon Travel, they work in your best interest. I highly recommend them for all your tax needs!

From the first trial session six months ago, I have been continually impressed with the level of professionalism and high energy that is always present in the classes that my son participates in. I can clearly see that your program has instilled in him a sense of: - security to know mistakes are OK. - confidence to count aloud/to raise his hand (which he hardly does in school) - commitment to practice / repetition - improved listening skills - pride in being a "demonstrator" - sportsmanship when partnered up - accountability in checking in - fun in sports via games e.g. "turtle," simon says, etc. - knowledge about quality over quantity - hard work leading to rewards aka stripes / belts - discipline - of course, that "non-quitting spirit" =) Whew! I had to make that into a bullet-point list because there are just too many highlights =) In addition, your team that you have assembled is always very professional and welcoming and helpful and with-it. I know it's hard to hire and retain the right people but you seem to have done a great job in that area too. Thumbs up for Deborah, Sensei and Senpei. When I received an email from Tiger Schulmann's about an option for early renewal, I didn't hesitate because I knew I wanted my son to continue to thrive with your program as he has been doing.
