I booked an Everglade tour with TigerTail Airboats on January 5th, 2026. We avoided the tourist trap Airboat Tour Companies. It was an additional 20 Minute drive deeper into the Everglades National Park, but our Family of three had the best time with our guide Wilder. We saw multiple Alligators sunning themselves. It was amazing to behold. Thank you very much for making this a very special vacation for my family.

Such a GREAT experience! My husband and I went on a private two hour tour with Tristan as our guide and it was fantastic. We saw so much nature and so many animals that we were blown away! Tristan was so knowledgeable and made the trip truly special for us. We learned so much about the local Native American tribe along with the environment. Tristan clearly grew up in the area and had quite the eye for spotting alligators while we were out and about on our tour. This trip is worth every single penny. We absolutely recommend!

What an excellent tour! We were booked with Tigertail Airboat Tours via Wild Lime Adventures, and neither disappointed! I was impressed with our guide, Tristan (sp?), who shared his knowledge of the area, the local ecology, and Miccosukee culture and history. Let's not forget Tristan's skills as an airboat pilot; he maneuvered the airboat across the everglades like a professional drift car racer, skimming across the water and lily pads with ease! I am glad to see the Miccosukee/Seminole Nation thriving and was glad to support their community through ecotourism companies, like Tigertail Airboat Tours.

Wilder was an amazing tour guide! So fun and we were able to see many gators and even hold a baby! Very refreshing ride on a warm day and everyone was friendly :)) very cool how they can spot the gators and know which one it is!

Me and my brothers took the 2 hour tour today from Tristan and it was fantastic. We not only got to see the different parts of the Everglades but we also got to learn the some of the history of the Miccosukee tribe and visit the island that they rehabilitate local wildlife on. Tristan also gave us tips on other local paths to check out while we were in the area. We will definitely plan on taking the tour again next time we are back in the area.

Cool totem poles on dock. Amazing day in Miami area

Will definitely be back on one of their tours. Our guide was great. Learned so much and saw their private island with "mama" gator 5 feet away. Held some baby gators and saw a 2yr old, 3 yr old and a 7 foot gator in the wild. Lots of Herons and a snail kite.

We booked a 1 hour tour with Humberto and it was FANTASTIC. Not only was the trip enjoyable, but Humberto was a breath of fresh air. He taught us a lot about the area, the wildlife and recent changes. The trip was fun, entertaining and a learning experience. I highly recommend this group and will book another tour, a longer one or the sunset ride, on my next trip to the area!

Thoroughly enjoyed our airboat ride with our driver/guide Alex. Our group included two adults, three kids and two infants. We all had a great time and felt very safe. Alex was very knowledgeable about the area, pointed out alligators, was very friendly and professional. We all felt safe given that he was wearing a mask the whole time and they sanitized all of the earphones. It's a very unassuming business by the looks of it, but we were very glad we ended up choosing Tigertajl.

    Docked at their private island

Had a great time today on our 1-hour tour led by Tristan. All the other places along U.S. 41 that offered airboat tours seemed busy by the look of their parking lots, but Tigertail wasn't busy so we took a chance and so glad we did. Really informative tour and we did get to hold a baby alligator. Totally great experience, would highly recommend Tigertail Airboat Tours.

We had chilly, overcast weather, so it was unclear if we would see any wildlife activity. We saw multiple gators, birds, and even a turtle along the way. It was late in the day and we had tried to do some Airboat Tours earlier in the week but we were traveling with our dog and they were not dog friendly. We decided to stop just to check and luckily for us, not only are they dog friendly but they were doing one last tour before the sunlight was gone. Our guide Fabian was awesome. He was super chill but informative and really did a great job. Especially considering that is was late in the day and he was only able to find one alligator. He definitely tried a lot of spots and it was clear that there would normally have been more wildlife to look as so even he seemed a bit disappointed but he definitely made the most of the birds and other wildlife that we did spot. There was a second alligator and even a baby gator when we arrived at the makeshift village stop that we watched swim in the water a bit. I really liked that Fabian was upfront about the fact that the "village" was just a replica for tourists and not really a relic. He also joked that he has a TV and it is nothing like how native people live today. We had a really nice time on the tour but it is incredibly loud and we spent some of the tour putting our headphones over our dogs ears to protect her from the sound. The office workers warned us about the noise though and they were so sweet they even offered to let her stay in the office with them while we took the tour. I definitely would not take her with us again if we did another tour, but only because I worried about her little ears. She did super well with everything else, including the gator being so close to us and getting on and off the boat. We spent well over $100 after tip on the tour for two people and a dog and it lasted about 45 minutes but I really feel like the experience was well worth the price and the employees here were just so friendly and kind. I highly recommend stopping here and taking a tour with this company.

They are passionate about the Everglades, preserving it, and really love what they're doing. For about hour, we zipped and stopped around the park, through channels in between the high saw grass, over grassy flats, and within a few canals dredged many years ago. The fresh air felt great and I think maybe my blood pressure eased for a few moments. We saw wildlife, including a peregrine falcon, other birds and of course, many alligators, either resting on the grass or swimming off to do whatever it is they do. The guides I think know pretty much where to find the alligators, some of which have names. River of Grass is one of the first swamp tours west of Miami off of highway 41 past the casino. The boats take you pretty far into the Everglades where you don't see or hear any civilization, only the quiet rustle of the grass, i.e. when the engines are not powering the boat thru the glades (why can't they make a quieter engine?). The pictures I took really don't do it justice.

The airboat tour was definitely the highlight. Our tour guide (I wish I could remember his name!) was so fun, engaging, and informative. This time, I'm sorry to say it was a waste of time and money. There were 5 of us and we paid ahead of time 130.99 on Groupon for our tickets, along with an additional 8.00 a person National park fee once we got there! Along with a child. The first time we went, there was an exhibit where you could pet a baby alligator and ask any questions you had about them. This time there was nothing. This time we got on the airboat ride and it wasn't until we were headed back that an alligator was spotted! Of course we were not told beforehand that it was mating season and spotting gators was not as likely to happen. Had I known that, or been warned I would have reconsidered. I was on the other side of the boat of course so Even standing, I barely got a glimpse of the gator before he went under. We got back to the doc and that was it. I felt like I had paid almost 200 for an experience that was very different from our first trip. I contacted the company and talked with the assistant manager Mary Anne, and told her of my disappointment and she didn't seem to care. They didn't offer any sort of compensation, and the customer service was more of a "suck it up"- experience. I contacted Groupon and they said it was something that had to be worked out with the merchant. A few years ago I would have highly recommended this experience! Now, not so much. It's was overpriced and not guaranteed or cared about if you see anything.
