Very Disappointed - Stay Away from Cummins Restorations…read more I hired Cummins Restorations for tuckpointing (brick repointing) work at my home on Gerrard Street East, Toronto. I initially contacted the company through a reputable online platform, but the owner, Brian, quickly shifted all communication to my personal email and text messages. At first, Brian was polite and professional. We exchanged several emails clearly outlining the scope of work, including detailed photos and specific areas to be addressed. However, after more than a month of delay, the experience changed completely. Brian failed to deliver on key parts of the agreed work and also behaved in an unprofessional manner, despite everything being clearly documented in writing. As a professional civil engineer in Canada, I have the technical background to properly assess construction quality and practices. It was clear that the project was poorly managed, and I can see how a homeowner without technical expertise could be easily misled. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Cummins Restorations. If you do decide to work with them, proceed with caution, and ensure every detail is documented -- though even that may not guarantee the agreement will be honored.

We agreed that the project will restore it to its original state. I called him and he returned and explained to me that the new style is how he fixes things. So he installed a crown in a stupid way..and did not put back the cap properly that a slight wind threw it on the lawn. O..the chimney is of course still out of plumb.

Lakeside had to be used as Enbridge does not do the meter exchanges…read more Technician arrived and took 4.5 hrs to do the exchange. Tech had a very superior attitude to basically tell us that all gas appliances would have to be set to factory settings before gas would be turned on. Told him that furnace and air conditioner services yearly and tech discounted this and left us with no hot water etc. We had our regular furnace company come to follow-up and they surmised all complaints were no more than "nuisance complaints". I have complained to Enbridge but will see if anything happens..told Enbridge that Lakeside was a poor representative for them!!
