    Chickpea Masala tacos

Tikka Haven absolutely blew me away at the Loma Linda Street Fair . Their Chickpea Masala tacos were insane...packed with flavor and such a perfect fusion. Even my picky daughter devoured hers. Definitely a new favorite!

Beyond Biryani is apparently 2 partners from India - one north and one south - so it's a marriage of regional flavors under one roof. My son wanted to treat me to dinner early for Fathers Day. I have been longing to try this restaurant since it had been recommended by a client of mine from India. He promised this was "the place" in the IE for authenticity. So I opted to go here - eager for the opportunity. A party of five of us arrived We were greeted by the tantalizing masala fragrances and an older kind faced gentleman who is likely one of the proprietors. We were promptly seated and began salivating over the selections. The menu is prolific - check their website for a preview. I had my mind set on 4 dishes right away after arriving and reading through the offerings. I asked advice from the server, a young lady that was quite welcoming. We assured her we could handle the heat of some of the warmer dishes (I LOVE spice!!) Multiple spicy curries, a tangy rich & creamy tikka masala, a fiery chicken biryani dish, and some lightly charred garlic naan appeared after appropriate time. Dig in!! Oooooooh my - picture Mark Wiens saying "ooooooohhhh" (iykyk). So very satisfying! Heat that had the tears on the edge of the eyelids, but was so enjoyable! Succulent curry gravies, tender chicken and lamb, and scooping it as fast as swallowing and savoring allow. Loved every bite! My one regret? The photo you see is the ONLY one we got (the server was super sweet and took it along with some good natured jesting with us). Long story short? Best Indian food experience I have had. Can't wait to return! Epic!!! Thank you!!

We always ask each other. Is this a place we would return? Had we found a new favorite in redlands? Every one of us said. We would never return. The food was maybe a 3 to 4 the rice was so dried out i thought I was going to break a tooth on how hard some of them were, the nanny was also dry it completely broke in your hand like a potato chip. The atmosphere was like a cheap cafeteria.

There's a mural of Gandhi and Frida Kalo. It's not Mexican fusion though but I'm not complaining. The colors and arrangement really elevated the place. There was only one other group during our visit and there was plenty of parking up front. Rice was plain but all the flavor wad in the chicken and garlic naan. My husband said it was the best he's ever had. The bread was prefecture baked and the flavor amazing. The garlic and cilantro really popped. I'm interested in trying their byrriani next. We'll definitely be back. Prices weren't too bad either. $16 on antree $4 naan + tip.

The decor is warm and bright with popping color, a bit whimsical with the bike on the wall, and simultaneously relaxing with the textures plants. It took a moment to be welcomed as preparation sounds came from the kitchen. But that was ok - we were the only diners and gave us a chance to look at the menu. We were seated by a polite and industrious young woman who also was our server, cashier, and I suspect, still prepping in the kitchen. What a go-getter! We ordered chicken tikka masala, shahi paneer, shrimp, rice, raita, naan, and mango chutney. Although my mom loves bold flavors, she finds less heat more to her liking these days. Everything came out mild, but the shrimp had a kick! I even found myself breaking a bit of a sweat. The flavors were mouthwatering, the chicken tender, the cheese gave that pleasant "squeaky" feel, and everything tasted fresh. We had enough to take some home. Overall, a tasty new find for us!

In fact, I respect family businesses. But if they're going to be serving customers, they need proper training and guidance on how to be waiters. My wife and I came here because of the great reviews, and the food absolutely lived up to the hype. The menu is somewhat limited, but I'd rather see a restaurant focus on doing a smaller number of dishes exceptionally well than offer a huge menu with mediocre food. Be prepared to wait. On a Sunday lunch, there were only two parties ahead of us, and our first dishes still took about 25 minutes to arrive. The samosa plate, garlic nann, chicken tikka masala, and lentil soup were all excellent. Easily some of the better Indian/Pakistani food I've had in the area. The problem was our shrimp karahi. While we were eating everything else, it still hadn't arrived. I asked our server about it and was told it was "almost ready." We continued eating, finished our entire meal, and still no shrimp karahi. It finally arrived after we were completely done eating. Not only was there no apology, but nobody even acknowledged the delay. I was ready to tell them to take it back, but my wife convinced me to keep it since the food was good and we could have it for lunch the next day. Food: 5 stars Service: 2 stars

You wouldn't expect to find such delicious Southern Indian food in a low key plaza in Colton, CA of all places, so this was a pretty good pull from him. Since we came for a later lunch, we were seated immediately and aside from a couple other customers, I think the other orders were all for to go. It's a small family owned restaurant and has a lot of cultural decor and the portrait of their grandfather. Love that. Food came out quickly and the portion sizes are quite generous. Everything was super flavorful and had complex taste profiles. With some things being a bit sour and spicy, to creamy and tangy, and with the carbs having different textures too, made each bite diverse and delicious. You don't get tired of your meal so quickly and makes the dining experience quite fun too, at least for someone who doesn't eat this cuisine as often. I don't quite remember the names of everything that I got, but I did enjoy everything that was ordered from the stews, curries, sauces, and it all went really well with the huge crispy piece of dosa and the vada pastry. I'm not sure when I'll be back in this area, but this is a solid place to eat.
