    Chicken 65 biryani
    Samantha C.

We returned for the second time in two weeks to try other dishes! This time we had the chicken 65 biryani and lamb rogan gosh, both mild spice (for me), and garlic naan. Food is fresh and worth the wait as the flavors are amazing! Just the right amount of heat to cause sniffles but not blow your head off. Service was excellent as well; our waitress returned frequently to refill our water and bus plates. We'll be returning to try other dishes! Note: Loma Linda and VA employees get 5% discount with ID, which helps to offset the 4% surcharge of using a credit card.

Lunch buffet varieties from 1:00-3:30pm for only $16.99

If you are looking for the best delicious, multiple variety, neat & affordable halal buffet, don't think twice ; drive right away to Beyond Biryani restaurant with no hesitation. You will be amazed with their welcome hospitality, different kinds of tasty dishes offered in their lunch buffet plus an additional sweet that we were offered before leaving. Restroom is very clean which we seldom see in halal restaurants. Distinguished hospitality notable by the nice lady staff "AP" who served us. A highly recommended place that you have to pay a visit as we are positively sure that we would do again. Thanks to the manager & staff. Keep up the good work. Dr. Mazin Alsarraf Jan. 2026

Baingan bharta (eggplant mash w/ veggies)

This new spot took over the old taco place. Big storefront with the left side big enough for banquet style events and right side for casual dine in. Was advised it would take about 20 minutes and they were right. It took about 25 minutes in total. I walked the interior while waiting. The restrooms are located on the banquet side of the restaurant. There are a few stone benches out front if you prefer outside seating. All in all, their menu is vast and beyond biryani (has both meat & vegetarian options) which is a nice differentiator to many other Indian restaurants in the area. I hope with practice they're able to be more consistent on the salt level and better portioning. I ordered three dishes to-go, one appetizer and two mains. The Gobi Manchurian appetizer for $13 came in the smallest container. I counted 5 pieces of cauliflower (battered and fried Gobi) with large pieces of white onion and green bell peppers. While the crunch of the Gobi was excellent, this dish was too small of a serving than I am used to for the price and VERY SALTY. For the two mains I ordered the Masala dosa (which comes with a savory sipping soup called sambar). This one is better eaten in person. My mistake on taking this home because it was soggy by the time I opened it up. Good flavor, but just not as enjoyable as fresh off the pan. The sambar was tasty. A little on the spicy side (as it should be) and not overly salted (thankfully). Typically my favorite dish, the baingan bharta was the worst dish. Not only was the eggplant mash not flavorful with a Smokey aroma, it seems their take on this dish is straight up 90% chopped onions and green peas. The excessive onions made the dish overly sweet. I may have to jazz this one up a bit because the flavor was just not there (needed more spices AND SALT). The extra garlic naan I ordered was standard garlic naan.

The food was good. Many seats available if you're planning to go with family or friends. The service was friendly and there was no wait time. We went on the weekend for lunch right when the lunch buffet opened. I am vegetarian and my favorites were the naan bread, pun, mutton briyani, and vegetarian korma (little spicy). I wish they served garlic naan during the lunch buffet. I've had better Indian lunch buffets in the area. This place is worth a visit though.

    Mutton Nalli Biryani

Easy access parking, in a large parking log with large spaces. This Indian restaurant is new and replace a prior Mexican restaurant. The menu has many authentic Indian dishes not seen from other restaurants in the area. Particularly the Mutton dishes are amazing. They are cooked at the right tenderness and the meat flavor is going to keep you coming back. The sause, spice and season keeps thing fresh and you don't get the bloated and dry mouth feeling after the food. Which means they must not use MSG or other additives. Overall great new Indian restaurant that provides a fresh take and high qaulity food. Will be back again.

We even joked about the Coachella Valley dates that they sell, with the employee saying the dates saw Lady Gaga(?) and I said they even saw BigBang BAHAHA Side note, they were verrrry slow with service. Here I was to experience it once more. Yes, I've been here in the past. Parking was easy right in front of the shop. It was about 20 minutes until closing time. There was still a line, but not too long so it went swiftly. Atmosphere was clean and bright. Ambiance has a Hawaiian flare to it. If I didn't know better, I would have thought I was in Hawaii. Limited outside seating and some inside seating. There's a cool cabana hut-like section you may sit at. One all gender restroom available for use. Staff was super fantastic and friendly. They serve the ice cream in quite a variety... fruit bowls, mangonada, vegan/dairy free ice cream, soft serve, floats, shakes, etc. You may even take home pre-packaged pints to-go. Cute shirts for sale, too. As for here, free samples available on any flavors. You may try them all (that's what they say). Sweet! Of course I didn't try all of them, but maybe one day I will. WOW, so many unique and interesting combination of flavors. I sampled 5 flavors as shown below. *Navels & Ganache - Bright navel orange ice cream mixed with rich, dark chocolate ganache chunks *Ube Macapuno - Philippine purple ube root mixed with macapuno (coconut) puree *Date Casablanca - Medajool date ice cream with a date/caramel swirl *Honeysuckle Rose - Honey sweetened vanilla ice cream with rose petal extract *Kauai Pie - Kona coffee ice cream, Hawaiian macadamia nuts, shredded and lightly toasted coconut, and rich dark chocolate fudge I ended up getting one regular cup with 2 flavors for $6.50... very reasonable price! My two picks were Ube Mascapuno and Kauai Pie. Good size scoops. Very rich and smooth texture. Ube was spectacular! YUMMY!! Kauai was good, but unfornately, it didn't pair too well with Ube IMHO. I won't do that again. I will, however, return and try their other fun and tasty flavors. I'll be back and so should you if you've been here before. If you haven't tried them, Lappert's is a must visit when you're in Redlands. Happy Ice Cream!

I think it's around $7.95 for a rolled ice cream, which feels like a pretty standard price for that kind of dessert. The only thing that keeps it from being five stars is the ambiance. The place itself is just a little lackluster. It's not bad, it just doesn't have much of a vibe. But honestly, the ice cream and the friendly service still make it a great place to stop by.
