We bought some porcelain pavers to use on a project and they were too big for the space so we searched for where to cut them and found this store offers that service. We are so glad we found them. Even though we didnt get our tiles through them, they took great care and expertly cut them. We ended up needing another tile cut, so we went back last Saturday, not realizing they don't usually offer tile cutting on Saturdays due to being busy, but they still took our tile anyway and let us know they have a few other things ahead so they would call as soon as they could cut it. A few hours later they had it ready and because of the wait they didn't charge us for the cut. We couldn't believe it. Such great service! I wanted to use a local company instead of a big box store when ordering tile for my house. This ended up being a huge mistake. The tile sample had no missing pigment and I absolutely loved it and went ahead and ordered it. The staff and owner did not mention that this was a distressed tile pattern, and the display of more than one tile they later said they had was never shown to me. And in fact, the tile sample I got said "deco" on. Deco design style is never distressed, so I would not have known this was distressed tile unless they told me this. Of the 8 boxes of tile I received, I have 16 usable tiles. The rest are severely "distressed" with a significant amount of pigment missing. I contacted Michelle (the owner) and she said she couldn't do anything about it. I asked for the distributors contact info and when we called they said they would take the tile back (no mention of a restocking fee or shipping costs), but that it would have to go through the store I bought it from. I told Michelle this and she proceeded to call her tile rep at the distributor and told them there was nothing wrong with the tile. So I was then told there would be a 25% restocking fee and shipping costs to be paid for by me. I am unwilling to do this because the product is defective and not reflective of the sample I received. After much back and forth with Michelle, she said she would do me a favor and buy the tile back from me at 50% of what I paid for it because it is a popular tile and she could sell it again, giving her 50% price payment for this tile from me, and full price again from whomever she resells it to. Clearly I am not going to do this. Her customer service is terrible and, in my opinion, this is not honest business practice. I would never recommend purchasing anything from this store. She special orders all (or at least most) tile, so she takes no risk or responsibility, and offers no acceptable resolution, leaving the customer to have to call the distributor to fight for what is right. Every single person who has seen this tile (including an architect) says it looks awful and they would never use it. read more

Fantastic customer service and small but great tile selection. We recently purchased a home with a terribly dated kitchen layout and wanted to upgrade. We looked many places but found a lot of "HGTV specials." We read good things about Tile for Less and found some unique tiles for a decent price that we really liked. Michele suggested we buy some samples to make sure it was what we wanted and could return if they weren't. We called some contractors for estimates and they said the brick-like tile we chose was too small and would cost us a fortune, then showed us examples of larger floor tiles we should buy. We went back to Tile for Less, sad and explained we'd need to switch. Michele convinced us if this was our vision, we could do it ourselves and they would help with advice along the way. And they did. All the employees were super helpful and we were able to finish the floor ourselves. And it looks just as great as our original vision. We went again for our backsplash tiles and again got cute tiles, excellent advice, and all the supplies we needed. I LOVE our kitchen now. Every time I walk past it, I smile. Was given a sample of a custom bathroom tile to match my tile. Found a match and ordered boxes of this custom tile understanding they could not be returned. The boxes of custom tiles came and I was under the understanding that they were the same as the sample. Tilers are hard to find but after a month the tiler came to put the tiles down. Turned out the tiles did not match the sample and I had been overcharged for what was shipped. Went back in to let the manager/owner? know, especially since she was the one who was supposed to find the match and failed. She gave me a small discount, but was very unpleasant claiming that tile lot #s always were different. She made it seem that I was at fault, even though I now have two different colors of white in my bathroom. Very unprofessional person and surely not the way to run a business. read more

Kass greeted me inside the store, found the matching tile and then cut the tiles to the size I needed. I can't believe it was this easy and wish I had gone to TFL sooner. She walked me through a tile cutting technique on their back room saw. And even got to work 30 min early before they opened so I could return the saw before a flight. First off, I should say how wrong we were about this place. I always assumed it was just a smaller store with less selection than other tile places, but mostly the same options. I'm so glad we were so wrong! We've been looking for tile for our backsplash for months, and nothing we found fit what we were looking for. There were at least 6 trips to Floor & Decor and countless samples we bought, but no luck. Finally fed up we decided to come here on the off-chance they had something different. As soon as we entered through the front door, there were people offering to help us. And we we immediately saw several options that we liked so much more than anything we've seen so far. We took these samples home, and for the first time it looked right! We came back to order the tiles, and once again the customer service was phenomenal. I love this store! I was pulling my hair out trying to find the right tile at Home Depot and Lowe's but wasn't having any luck. I happened to pull out of Home Depot on 21st South and happened to see a funny sign about Gluten Free Tile something g or other that caught my attention. What do you know... It was a tile store. Tile for Less the sign said. Looked like a little hole in the wall but I decided to go in. Instantly Alan started helping me and helped me dial in exactly what I was looking for in about 10 minutes. Keep in mind, I am like a guy in that I am challenged in the remodeling arena... Or just don't feel like spending the time it takes to pick everything out so Alan saved me from a really bad day. They have good quality tile and good advise I couldn't get elsewhere. Plus, they let you bring back what you don't use. Score. So.... 2 weeks later I am standing here returning my leftover tile. I needed help with corner shelves and had to have them today. Normally they send tiles out to be cut, but because I couldn't wait and had to have them today, Alan did it for me. Not to mention the helpful staff who walked me through the store and was able to make design suggestions that I hadn't considered. Family owned business! I was not 100% convinced to use a small business, but it turned out being the best purchase we made. I have been looking for a few months as we are building a home. My mind at this point is full of different tiles. We had been here once before and Alan helped us, but i was still being stubborn in not wanting to purchase yet. Alan was amazing and very helpful and knew his tiles, but I wasn't ready. We came back a week later and immediately Michelle (owner) approached us. Very kind and personable. She started asking questions as to what ideas ny husband and I had. I showed her some ideas and she had samples picked out within minutes, which I really liked and we ended up making a purchase! I had a pinterest pic and a lot of hope when I walked in to Tile For Less. I'll admit it was even close to closing time. I was happily greeted as they finished up with another customer. Wandering around the store was easy and they had a lot of mock ups showing what the tile looked like with multiple pieces and designs. Michele took a look at my pic and nailed the mood and feel I wanted. Then set a bunch of tiles that fit it and I chose. I could have gotten the actual tiles in the picture but I wanted to save some money. I got just what I wanted with the look and the price. Tile for Less was a low key, pleasant buying experience. The prices on the tile was great as was the selection, however they nickel and dime you on everything else. They charged us to make a cut on a tile, they broke it and wanted us to pay for a replacement which we did even though we had more of them at the house just to save a trip back. For that reason alone we probably won't come back. read more

Decent selection. Gave them all the measurements for a project. They calculated the amount of tile I would need. I started the project and was almost 4 boxes short. This was a no cut needed project. It's not like there was excess waste miscalculated. Thin set was mixed and I'm out of tile mid-project. I drove 30 minutes back to the store to pick up more and when I told them their employee had all the measurements and miscalculated and asked for a discount on the additional pieces needed for the hassle they said no but if you bring us the paper with the measurements it will be a good learning experience for our employee. Tile for less has a great selection for all price points. Alan helped me with the remodeling of three bathrooms by suggesting tile placements, grout colors and grout type. He saved me $1500 by suggesting a better looking metal finish to the end tiles as opposed to the bull-nosed style. He could have made the sale, but chose to give great customer service and make a lifelong customer. The other expensive tile stores have only higher prices. Choose Tile For Less. It is our second remodel with them and we wouldn't go anywhere else. In fact, our condo in Palm Springs is tiled by the same 21st South store. read more

I was convinced that I would be purchasing my bathroom tile at Tile for Less based on the Yelp reviews. I was looking for a tile that was not carried by Tile for Less, but the owner Michele Bergman directed me to the Daltile Sales and Service Center in Salt Lake City and told me that Tile for Less could procure the supplies I needed for my walk in shower. I sent my Daltile supply list to Tile for Less via email and requested a proposal/pricing for the tile. Over the next couple of days, I followed up via telephone with two members of the sales staff requesting an ETA for their pricing. Both salesmen indicated that they were working on the proposal and that I would receive it that day or "tomorrow at the latest." I mentioned that if there was some reason that they could not or did not want to handle this special order to please let me know--"no harm/no foul." Both salesmen assured me that this was not the case and I would receive their proposal "by tomorrow at the latest." A 'few tomorrows' have passed and Tile for Less has not provided a proposal, nor have they followed up to let me know whether or not they will be providing a proposal. Poor communication on their end has caused delays with my project--very disappointing! read more
