During our recent master bathroom remodel, we visited Contempo at the recommendation of our contractor. We were a little overwhelmed at first by the massive selection of products on display, but with the help of their designer we quickly honed in on some products we loved. Contempo has an amazing selection of tile products, in all price categories, and I love how bright and open their showroom is. My wife and I weren't sure we'd be able to find tile we both agreed on, but we came away with some samples we really loved. When took those samples home to compare them and let our contractor know our final selections. We ended up ordering all of the tile for our bathroom remodel from Contempo and have LOVED the appearance and quality of everything we purchased from them. The only disappointed we experienced is that the octagon tile we'd selected for the floor of our master bathroom shower wasn't available. When we were at Contempo, they said the product was in stock, but when our contractor went to order it, it was actually 2 months away. It was on the way from Italy or something. We ended up comprising on diamonds instead, but I wish we'd be able to use that octagon tile. read more

They had a hand sanitizing station here! Right when you walk in, you can tell that they're taking the pandemic seriously. They had a little area where you can make drinks, but we weren't sure if that area was closed because of the pandemic so we didn't check it out. We were greeted by their front desk right away, and they asked if we needed any help. We didn't at the time and we just roamed their store looking at their tiles. They had SO many options that are unique! As we were roaming, we had someone else come up to us to help out. We can't remember her name (sorry!) but she was SO helpful!! She gave us really insightful and helpful advice for choosing a backsplash that matches our cabinets. She told us that with a quartz countertop, we should choose a backsplash color that will compliment the veining of it. Typically people will think a white backsplash will do so, but she showed us that it turns the quartz a bit yellow! She really knew her stuff!! She showed us several options of different tiles and it felt like we were at a design center designing our place. She also gave us a contact info of an installer that she recommended. Our contractor recommended we look here because all of their tile is in stock. It's a smaller showroom than some of the other tile companies we checked out, but they have a lot of displays and it's easy to browse. They were busy when we walked in but when it slowed down nobody asked me if I needed help so I had to ask someone at the counter. But I was in and out in less than half an hour, so it was quick. Great selection but some of the popular tile is out of stock or low stock. The lady helping me was not overly friendly but was knowledgeable and polite and helped me select a tile that was close to what I wanted when my first choice was out of stock. They have a small kids room at the back with toys and a TV for the kids to play in. The store was nice and clean and we had a good experience. read more

I just left this store and it was about as depressing as it could get. Not a single person greeted me, smiled at me, or offered to help me. I then asked if a lady was free and she said "yeah". I explained my project and she pointed at two general areas of the store for me to find things, with a lack luster attitude that most people would have to work to achieve. I stood next to the counter for a minute before talking to the manager and telling him. I pointed at the four sales people all who seemed to acitively be frowning and said that no one seems to want my business. Anyway I had the opposite experience at tile for less and that made my decision for my bathroom remodel much easier. Their sales people need to be held accountable for losing business or at least taught how to BE sales people. read more

Our contractor recommended Contempo and it's the best thing he's done so far. I had read the reviews and was a little curious when the lady previously described as "this old bag" greeted us. Contrary to the previous reviewer's experience, working with Chris was wonderful. She was the most helpful designer we have ever met. (She says she's not a designer because she doesn't have the certificate but Chris, you ARE truly a designer, license or not) We had no clue when we walked in but with her help and everyone at Contempo our bathrooms are going to be beautiful. We wanted a modern style but are tickled beyond belief that we now have what we want but with enough elements of warmth that they won't feel cold and sterile. We picked up our tile and laid some out. It's beautiful. The only reason I'm going four stars might be a picky one but the music in the showroom was incredibly bad. I think the newest song that played was from the forties. Wake people up with the music. Don't put us to sleep. And yes, I did create this account just to sing Contempo Tile's praises. No, neither she or anyone else asked me to. Let's just say that the options are great here, and the staff outside of one old woman with short hair were courteous and very friendly. This old bag was extremely rude to us. We are planning on dropping a few thousand, cash, but we willNOT buy from here because of her condescending attitude. read more

Jamie Knight was a helpful employee. She showed us several tile flooring options and gave us samples. She was knowledgable about pricing, availability, shipping, etc. She didn't act rushed even though it was close to closing time. read more

The worst customer service and staff! FYI, I'm building a 5700 sq ft home in Park City. They acted like because I was in gym clothes that I perhaps wasn't worth being polite to. I told them to get an idea on pricing I've looked online and they acted like I just asked them to donate a kidney. FYI: It's 2015 and everyone looks online. Have you heard of Anne Sachs tile my friends? YOU SHOULD FIRE YOUR ENTIRE STAFF! You probably all paid to go to design school and couldn't find a design job (not my fault you hate where you work). I was looking for a specific tile in their showroom. No one greeted me or acknowledged my presence. Two other couples came in and they waited on them immediately. I suppose the couples looked more important than a single woman. I will not visit their showroom again. read more

Great tile selection but a lot of the popular tile is out of stock or low stock. Beautiful flooring for our home but the service is BAD. Even my contractor was not happy with the service he got here and he's worked with them for years. The salespeople follow you around and the two ladies that helped me on separate occasions were not friendly or very knowledgeable. We spent over $8000 here on tile and expected amazing service, but were disappointed. read more

I'm considering a small bathroom remodeling project that will require tile. I've worked with the staff at Contempo Tile before, so I naturally reached out to them first. My current tile is 15 years old, so I knew there was a chance it would be discontinued. The previous homeowners didn't leave any extra tile, so I had nothing to bring in. But the helpful staff allowed me to email photos of my bathroom anyway to try to determine the material, manufacturer and product line -- and even pulled samples prior to my visit. I was able to come in before work at 7:30 am to have a look. Turns out the tile can't be matched exactly -- no surprise -- but the designer (not the one I had emailed) had great ideas for options at several price points. Together we weighed pros and cons, and she even did a quick internet search for images. I was thoroughly impressed by this impromptu consultation. For knowledge of trends, materials, ability to source, and general good design aesthetic -- I give this shop a thumbs up. read more

My wife and I redid our kitchen 2 years ago and had an excellent experience at Contempo, I'm not quite sure what has happened since then but the place has gone down hill. We are building a home and really would've appreciated the help but not only was the showroom not helpful we were completely ignored. When we did ask for help no one knew the answer to any of our simple questions regarding pricing and materials. They would go ask someone else who also didn't know the answer. I then asked to speak to a manager, her name was Katie, and I later learned she was not the manager 2 years ago which explains a lot about the change in service. She was just as incompetent as the girls working for her. She's incapable of following up. She told me to contact her directly if I had any questions or needed any additional help and she was either not there anytime I went in or would never return any of my calls. It saddens me to say what a horrible experience this was but I have since gone to Arizona Tile and had much better luck with service. I'm disappointed Contempo has gone so down hill, obviously there is an issue with management, hopefully that is taken care of soon for the sake of the company. read more
