PLEASE BEWARE! My mother and I gave the owner "John", real name Najib, a deposit of half the total cost for both our homes (which was over fifty thousand dollars) to be remodeled. Tile bathroom floors, granite, carpet for bedrooms, etc. The deposit was made back in May. It is now coming to the end of August and not one of our homes has been completed. As you will read in other comments "John" is great at making excuses for his workers not showing up. For three months he has been giving us excuse after excuse or lying saying someone will show up to do the work and no one ever does. He never answers his calls until my mother or I threaten to come to his shop. I wish I would have seen the many pages of disappointment and scams that others have written about this man and his company. Today we went to sort things out with him at his shop and he refused to give us any material or finish the work without the full payment. I told him YEAH RIGHT. We have already given him thousands and no work was completed and now he wants more of our money?! My mother and I will now seek legal action. read more

Had laminate laid and 35 yr warranty..well as week later starting to fade and chip found out manufacturer doesn't exist and no stamp on back of planks..went to John said he'd help and wound up saying he didn't have nothing to do with store on main st..and receipt shows both addresses..reported to BBB and they said he didn't own other store and can't help us..now out $ thousands and have a shotty job of what a new floor suppose to be. I am having a very hard time with this company and its owner. The owner is very unprofessional and cannot act civil. I will say his workers are polite though. We have had soooo many problems with this company and would STRONGLY advise anyone to NOT do business with them. I am probably going to have to get the Better Business Bureau involved and also make some calls to the contractors board to make some complaints in order to get things resolved. At one point he drove off saying " take him to court" after calling him out on lies. He is also extremely disrespectful to women. They are masters at putting you off, making excuses, trying to blame THEIR mistakes on you and getting out of doing stuff right the first time. The owner John which is not his real name, twists stories, lies, cusses at you and cannot be civil. Job was paid for in early August and the jobs are still not all done correctly or completed. They also try to add things you did not authorize and then want money for it. Do yourself a HUGE favor and stay away from this company and warn others. The owner is sweet as pie until you start questioning his integrity or should I say, LACK of it! If he thinks I'm silently going away or allowing this to blow over he is sadly mistaken. This will be s thorn in his side till its done right. Im sure the contractors board will.be interested in this. Everything we have is documented so if it goes to court he will definitely loose but hoping he just mans up and does the right thing. I'll be doing a other review on the final outcome. Read through all the other Yelp reviews. You will see there is a definite pattern here. Update 9-26-2012 --- Granite went in and looks very nice the second time around. Project with these guys is complete, but I cannot recommend nor will I use Tile Gallery for future projects. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Currently working with these guys for granite and travertine install. So far the quality of work the sub has produced for the granite was crap. The sub just took measurements and didnt bother to make any templates. Any novice knows that not all walls are straight, so the only way to truely cut granite to fit properly is to make a template. They installed cracked granite (cracked in 3 places and placed the seam over the dishwasher which is a no no and the granite didnt sit snug against the cabinets (you could still see the plywood that was under the granite. When we called back out the sub said he could repair the granite. He totally missed the point... You installed cracked granite dude, wtf. Anyways, Rob and Tommy agreed that the granite would need to be replaced. If I hadnt paid for the install in full I would have walked away from these guys. The new granite slab should be installed in the next few weeks, 4 weeks later than originally planned. Before the new slab is cut I will need to speak with Rob and Tommy because I dont want the sub to show up at my place and try to install the same shitty fitting granite as before. I will update my rating if necessary once the installation is complete, but for now I think 1 star is generous. To all else out there considering these guys, yes prices are good but that is at the expense of you the customer because they have SOME crappy subs. read more

So my roommates hired these people to do many different jobs in the house. Remodeling the kitchen, cementing the backyard and walkway and repainting the house. They dont show up for days at a time, when they do show up they never fonish a project before moving to the next one. All of the projects have been started at once and the whole hoise osba complete disaster, they dont clean up after themselves. They won't finish one project...basically our kitchen has been out of commission for almost a month now. They installed the countertops without fixing the wall and doing the backsplash. We had to fight with their boss to get them back over here to work and finish the job. Completele disaster!!! read more

needed a carpet done. deposited $1000 money in cash. waited for 2 weeks with a tenant waiting and living out of boxes but i would call and here are some of the excuses: the carpet is defected. the dye of the carpet came out too light. the dye of the carpet came out too dark. the workers will be there. (doesn't show up) the carpet storage is closed for the holiday. (it was columbus day) it will be done in 2 days (doesn't show up) finally got tired of waiting and asked for the deposit back but they wouldn't give the money back till i call the police. worst experiance. ever. read more

Well I'm in the process of dealing with them, so far not off to a good start. I was quoted $4.99 a square ft. Came out to $1200.00. If I paid cash - no sales tax. I told John I would be using a credit card. So I thought it came out to $1200.00 because of tax. ( at $4.99 a square foot it should've been like two hundred less) when I went to put a deposit, I told John I'd be paying cash so what would the price be. 1. He says he doesn't take credit cards ( his website says he does) and he told me my first visit he did. 2. It's $5.99 a sq ft installed, because they are removing old carpet. I think I got the ole bait and switch. Wondering if I should walk away now or what? Was thinking about taking carpet out myself to see if that would reduce price?!?!?! read more

So first of all these people are worse than bankers, having hours from 12-5 def. not for the working person. Then they rent uhauls which the uhaul company made a reservation for me, and i was running late at work so sent husband to get uhual. He got there and the guy was very rude when my husband went to give him his debit card the guy saying we don't take debit cards. My husband says well your not gonna get much business the rude guy laughs saying I know. I mean we need tile and carpet for our remodel and def wont go here and I will not recommend either. Be very careful dealing with these guys: Mike, Robert and John Samara, who is the owner. Do not pay them in full until the job is done/completed. They put the wrong molding on our hardwood floors and said they would come and fix the problem. It's been almost two months and these guys have done nothing but delay the repair. The molding they put in is so bad that one can easily trip over. In addition to the wrong molding, Robert, the store manager charged our credit card twice for the same payment/transaction. We contacted the store as well as the owner and these guys do what they do best: delay and not solve the problem. They still haven't refunded us the duplicate charge and they still haven't replaced the molding. Tile Gallery is our worst nightmare! These guys are rude and very unprofessional. They are very good at telling lies and making empty promises. John Samara, the owner of Tile Gallery Plus is either clueless about what is going on in his stores or he too is a liar. BEWARE! We go into this local tile shop called "Tile Gallery Plus". Salesman approaches us at the door as we entered, no smile, no welcome, but only asks what do we want. I tell him to look at your tile. He asks how many tiles do I need. My response, I havent counted. My husband tells him for several rooms. He responds, my tile is expensive, go to Home Depot. After leaving, we were kinda like, WTF was that?! Hubby calls the number, and "Mo" answers, Hubby asks a few questions and Mo says they dont sell tile, only laminate.. So, you only sell Laminate at TILE GALLERY. Um, O.K. Is this like a store front for illegal activity or what?!? We did NOT feel welcomed, being there were no other customers and 2 middle eastern men standing around presumably getting paid to work, you would THINK they would want our business! But seriously, take "TILE" out of your name if you dont want to SELL TILE. Avoid this place, something was REALLY OFF here. read more

We had our bathroom done by John. He was very respectful and honest. Everything he promised he did. Loved the end results. It did go over the estimated time but perfection takes time. A few months later we hired him to remodel our kitchen. Using the same cabinets he restrained them darker and our granite is wonderful. His guys where willing to work around our work schedule late evenings and Sunday's anything to get the job done. After reading all of the reviews it proves the old saying that you can't please everyone but we are very satisfied. I would recommend him very highly. read more

Tile Gallery Plus did my bathroom. They promised the world, but did not come through on anything! They missed every appointment time, just didn't show up or call! when we called they always an excuse!! They took a 3 day job and stretched it out over 3 weeks (for a small bathroom) The installers were very unprofessional, and rude, they fought with each other (cussing etc) were rude and obnoxious & thought they were better then any living thing! When questioned about not showing up, they replied, "we work on our own schedule, not yours!" When questioned about shoddy work, they replied, "we are the best" We asked Rob on several occasions if all our product was in and were told yes, the installers came in ripped our bathroom apart & stopped working 1/2 day because they didn't have our glass accent tile!, after being told by Rob everyday for a week that they did have it!......come to find out, they couldn't get the glass I ordered. I had to go to Anaheim & purchase a different glass tile (even though I already paid Rob for the orig. glass) The install was crap!!!! the installers broke a lot of the glass while installing it (good thing I bought extra) and were going to leave it, I told them they needed to fix it prior to grouting it (easy fix) they blew up at me, cussing, threatening to leave and I would be stuck with an unfinished bathroom. I called Rob, he said to let them grout it & he personally would come by and inspect it.......guess what, he did not show up! so a couple of days later we showed up at the store (not the first time we had to do this) he finally sent someone else to fix the job (yea right) The new installer fixed some of it, but overall a crappy install!!!! Now 4 months later the grout is cracking in the corners of the shower (from top to bottom) We have called Rob several times & showed up in the store, he has promised (so has Tommy) to come and fix it several times and made several appointments & guess what? they have not showed up or called.......So disappointing!!!! My husband finally repaired the crappy work himself!!! If I could give less then one star I would!!!!! I have never dealt with such unprofessional, unethical people in my life!!!! read more

OMG! This company has been HORRIBLE since day one. They were suppose to remodel our bathroom with granite and travertine, yet 5 weeks and $4700 later we ripping out CRAP WORK they did. NOTHING matches and no prep work was done correctly. When I complained about the quality of work, "Mike's" response to me was "what experience do you have in construction?" I told him that I don't need experience to know that this looks like CRAP! When I complained about colors not matching, his response was "I don't comment on people's selection style.". Then what the hell did I hire you for?? This company is unreliable. They NEVER show up when scheduled. They refused to do finish work such as bull nose corners, trim, and faucets because it wasn't "stated in the contract", I was left with an unusable bathroom with no toilet, sink, and shower hardware, including shower doors. SHAME ON THIS COMPANY. If there was rating less than 5 stars that's what I would give them!! read more
