The staff is comprised of volunteers that are welcoming, super friendly and helpful. The clerk carefully wrapped my purchases so that they wouldn't break. They accept donations, too. (Perfect for people like me that can choose ahead of time and go if they are doing something that I find cool.) Again, as mentioned, the staff was very helpful and responded quickly to email and any questions we had before our work event. The only concern I have is the location. It is really hard to find. Go on Main Street. Turn onto 9th Street and off 9th Street turn left onto Holiday Terrace. Look for Unwindings sign and it is in the basement of Unwindings. Overall: I will give them 4 stars. Mrs. Paula, Mrs. Jodi, Miss Sarah and all of the Little Tykes teachers take such great care of all the children they are entrusted with. This is a great place to feel safe in Kalamazoo! They put on a lot of different events for all…read morepeople and you never get any judgement of who you are or how you look. I know they are well known for putting on the Kalamazoo Pride every year, which in my opinion, was the best one I have ever attended, BUT they are SO much more than that! Outfront also has trainings for companies that want to be recognized as a safe place to work. These trainings focus on Diversity and Inclusion within the work place. Thursdays they give youth a place to be for the time in between school and going home to help keep them from being out and about on the streets. They have hosted book clubs for those of Queer Women and choose a variety of books that range from people of color to ways to help you identify who you are as a person. During the summer months, they put on pot lucks for all of the different groups they support. They had individual ones strictly for people of color, queer women, and transgender identifying persons! Any way you look at it, Outfront allows you to be you and will support you with resources and friendship!
