An exciting new addition is all the way in the back - an absolutely gorgeously decorated room, the Fairy Hollow. The painting and decor really pops and makes you feel like you've been transported to another place. The room is available for rental, but at the time of our visit, they had a fun little store event going on in it that was open to visitors, which we enjoyed. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. A great option for toys... you just may need to plan on some extra time if you're coming in with the kids - it's a real wonderland!

The only drawback to the store is that the building is old and not ADA compliant. The entry is via very steep stairs and no landing. It's kind of scary and I'm glad there are handrails. For those with mobility issues, don't worry, as there is in-store pick up, local delivery, and US shipping.

The shop was filled with educational items - engineering, arts/creative, invention toolkits, art history, etc. They also have a small section in the front with quirky items like a mustached baby pacifier. My only reason for holding back on the fifth star was that some of the tchotchke style items seemed overpriced to a point that I couldn't justify spending more for local - for example $17 sunglasses for kiddos.
