Each room was pleasant to the eyes and the nose -- seems there were floral scented rooms and a light fragrance in the air. The staff was very friendly and welcoming at the start of the exhibit and you are free to explore at your own pace. We were never rushed to go room to room and plenty of photo ops! Surprisingly, my favorite art piece was the bunny moon. But my favorite room was the Arirang themed room with the red lighting. BTS songs were playing and video clips were playing on a loop. About 15 minutes to see the full display. There were many other unique themed exhibits but I don't want to spoil it for you. If you like immersive exhibits, scented rooms and BTS, this is the Museum for you! Check online for a coupon for the exhibition and for the Arte Cafe. Some admission ticket prices include a free drink at the cafe. The cafe also sells Korean Corn dogs fried with cheese and other fillings. There's even an interactive table you can see while dining at the cafe. Side note: the gift shop was super fun to browse and they sold Van Gogh themed items, the bunny plushie and other items from the exhibit. There were keychains, art cards and sticker stamps, as well as playing cards, plushies and music boxes.

Arte Museum (AM) interactive art is worth a visit…read more Immersive experience are all the rage but not all of them are equal AM has multiple spaces but I recommend getting there on the earlier side because some spaces are smaller so fewer people increase the enjoyment. The installations change but the interactive element of flowers and water displayed on the wall and floor bring you into the whole experience It is a large install. There was also a BTS install at the end. I am not a fan but even this was interesting in it's own way. We finished in the cafe to enjoy a late and the projection art continue. The display changed with the white of your latter on the table.

The idea of the iMuseum is great but a few things make the experience here lack luster…read more First the price is too high as the experience can take 30 minutes tops- in my opinion it's a clear money grab. Also at the price of admissions every Guest should be offered a ballon upon leaving. As for the Staff- it seems as their only concern is to process your payment. It's also obvious they do not want you to preview the space before entering. They are also are quick to give mumbled directions, and are inattentive to guest and seem to have no experience or patience dealing with groups and young people. Finally, there is no direct way to contact/speak to anyone from the iMuseum as their phone number is inactive and there is no immediate response from their contact form or instagram messenger. Regardless of all of this, the only positive thing I can say about the iMuseum is that its rooms are really cool to take pictures, but I do wonder if they are regularly wiped downed and cleaned as it's a touch experience.

Whenever I go, I run into European, especially German, tourists. They are there to see the Tibetan art, which is considered one of the best in the world. Started by purchasing from Christian missionaries in the early twentieth century. The Tibetan galleries have a Buddhist altar that the Dalai Lama has consecrated in 1990. There's strong American art exhibits with paintings by many including Mary Cassett, John Singer Sargent, Tony Smith and Frank Stella. In addition, there's Ballentine House, from the Ballentine beer family, which houses a fine decorative arts collection and period rooms. The Dreyfuss plantetarium is great to round out your visit, especially with kids. Highly recommended for a day trip.

We grabbed some drinks and spent the day walking through the museum and exploring everything it had to offer. We even had a funny little interaction while getting our tickets. The man asked my daughter and me if we were paying separately, and I couldn't help but laugh because she's only 11 but already taller than me! I could see the moment of confusion and his embarrassment when he realized she was my daughter. Aside from that, this was a wonderful museum experience. I really enjoyed the interactive exhibits and the variety of artwork throughout the space. The different art pieces gave the museum such a unique style and character. My favorite part was the house itself. I absolutely love historic homes--they are truly beautiful and full of so much craftsmanship. You can see the incredible attention to detail throughout the entire house, from the staircase to the walls and the hand-printed designs. Every little detail tells a story, and it was amazing to see how much care and artistry went into creating such a beautiful space.

Loved the theater and film. Best part of all - tickets were on SALE at only $2 each!! Regular admission is $15. Who knew? Just a lucky break for us! Know that this Hall of Fame surprisingly small; can easily be covered in 1/2 hour. So..honestly I feel that a $15 admission tkt would have been a rip off. Local gem and creative events…read more Visited with some family going to see some of the local history. Staff were super welcoming and I was blown away by the photos of the Inwood/Washington Heights before the subway was introduced uptown. The vast swath of farm land and this farmhouse is one place to see how it looks in that bucolic time period. The backyard had a hessian hut of what the military groups used during the historical time period. It is fascinating to think about so much history that took place across the last four centuries in Manhattan and previous to the European arrivals. Thank you for having a local spot for people to learn about history. Great value.

I'm a super fan of Basquiats work so I was head over hills when I heard this exhibition was coming to Chelsea. I had tickets for 1pm and the line was wrapped around the block. They have skip the line tickets but I don't think it's worth the price unless you're in a rush. The line moved quickly and they honored my 1pm ticket time. The exhibition and works of art was curated wonderfully allowing one to delve deep into the life of Basquiat even giving us a glimpse into his art studio, the apartment where he grew up, and countless audio visuals of his family speaking about how legendary he was and continues to be. The only con I had was the souvenir shop which was a bit under stocked, a tad corny, & very expensive. I live for souvenirs & couldn't wait to add to my already existing Basquiat collection but I wasn't impressed. The t-shirt I did want was $75 and living in the times of inflation, I couldn't bring myself to buy it. There wasn't much else to be desired. Forgive me for comparing this exhibition to Van Gogh's Immersive exhibition but they had amazing souvenirs as well as a cafe that was inspired by his works. I left with posters, cookies, an umbrella, pens, a cute tote that was reasonably priced and was able to eat lunch & dessert. Despite me not purchasing any souvenirs :( I still had a great time. He was one of the most influential American artists who focused on various issues and life experiences. This exhibit is an impressive experience with over 200 never before and rarely seen paintings, drawing, ephemera and artifacts. I learned so much about his family and the meaning of his artwork. I absolutely loved this experience & I highly recommend this experience! Hurry and go check it out! Jean-michel Basquiat may your legacy continue to live on.

TEP deserves more than 5 stars for the amazing start to finish service we experienced on our 7 day…read moreadventure to Peru to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. From the time we signed up, to the time we boarded the plane to return home, TEP took care of every detail. We commented amongst ourselves that we felt like kids on vacation with our parents, as we didn't have to worry about any of the details - just show up and follow Neptali (our guide). From airport pickup in Cusco in luxury Mercedes vans where we were promptly served Coca tea to help with the altitude acclimation, to group dinners at amazing Peruvian restaurants, to historical tours and education on the history of the Inca - everything was covered and taken care of for us. And that was all before the amazing trek along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu! Of course the trek itself was the highlight of the trip, and although it was extremely challenging for us, TEP's unbelievable attention to detail did not fail us on the trail. With nearly a 2:1 porter to trekker ration, our every need was met on the trail. We dined like kings every meal, and were consistently amazed with the quality (and nutritional appropriateness) of the food our chef and sous chef were able to put out with minimal kitchen conveniences. The thing I felt was most special about TEP's approach to this trip was the focus on gaining a cultural and historical appreciation for what we were experiencing. Every step along the way, we learned about the native people of Peru, the Inca civilization, the many ruins we came across, the vegetation we saw and how it was and is used, and the history of modern Peru. It was the trip of a lifetime, and have the help of The Explorer's Passage made it so much more enjoyable, and so much more memorable. The value of what they provide is amazing for the cost....rather, for the investment. I highly recommend them!
