5 Star experience for the BTS fans. I ventured here with fellow Army friends to enjoy the BTS Arirang themed exhibition. Each room was pleasant to the eyes and the nose -- seems there were floral scented rooms and a light fragrance in the air. The staff was very friendly and welcoming at the start of the exhibit and you are free to explore at your own pace. We were never rushed to go room to room and plenty of photo ops! Surprisingly, my favorite art piece was the bunny moon. But my favorite room was the Arirang themed room with the red lighting. BTS songs were playing and video clips were playing on a loop. About 15 minutes to see the full display. There were many other unique themed exhibits but I don't want to spoil it for you. If you like immersive exhibits, scented rooms and BTS, this is the Museum for you! Check online for a coupon for the exhibition and for the Arte Cafe. Some admission ticket prices include a free drink at the cafe. The cafe also sells Korean Corn dogs fried with cheese and other fillings. There's even an interactive table you can see while dining at the cafe. Side note: the gift shop was super fun to browse and they sold Van Gogh themed items, the bunny plushie and other items from the exhibit. Arte Museum (AM) interactive art is worth a visit Immersive experience are all the rage but not all of them are equal AM has multiple spaces but I recommend getting there on the earlier side because some spaces are smaller so fewer people increase the enjoyment. The installations change but the interactive element of flowers and water displayed on the wall and floor bring you into the whole experience It is a large install. There was also a BTS install at the end. I am not a fan but even this was interesting in it's own way. We finished in the cafe to enjoy a late and the projection art continue. My friend and I went to see the BTS themed display at Pier61. Very big display and songs and even shopping bag with BTS if you buy something at the Museum store. Immersive Art is one of my favorites. I first had it in Japan at the Team Lab in Tokyo. So I wanted to see what and how they could incorporate BTS I. Their Immersive Art. My favorite was when I colored a bull and tried to draw the sign for BTS - scanned it and it showed on the wall live like animation. They also had waves and waterfall in the room. Last is the cafe with some projection on your drink. It just did not move like in Azabudai- Tokyo. But it was very entertaining! read more

Beautiful art museum! I booked a time slot on Fever and also purchase the cafe drink. It's $2 cheaper than buying it at the cafe. There are a few rooms you walk through, some are extremely to mildly interactive and others more for its visually stunning views. We spent about 1.5 hours at the museum, seeing each room for about 1-2x in its duration. You can likely spend 2 hours if you are queuing for activities or taking a lot of photos. 1 hour would be the shorter estimate. We were there for the BTS experience and it did not disappoint! The last room especially was incredible and the shop has a special BTS ceramic music box for sale. read more

BTS THE CITY 'ARIRANG' is held in conjunction with the BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' in New York. BTS THE CITY ARIRANG NEW YORK is a project created to commemorate the release of BTS's new album and their world tour. There are a variety of programs across the city that allow Army members to experience the team's music and message. I've been to Arte Museum in Las Vegas in 2024 and I really enjoyed all the immersive art rooms. In celebration of BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG', Arte Museum in Las Vegas had a special limited-time exhibition from from May 20 to June 17, 2026. I was internally hoping that when BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' was stopping at MetLife, Arte Museum in New York would be part of the BTS THE CITY 'ARIRANG' and it was! Arte Museum in New York is located at Pier 61 Chelsea Piers and the special exhibition is from July 24 to August 14, 2026. My friends and I took advantage of the Local Residents (New York and New Jersey​) ticket price through Fever and booked our tickets. It was easy to use the system even when we had to switch the days. This was also a stamp rally stop, but it was outside and don't need admission to the Arte Museum to get it. We visited the museum on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 6:00pm. A staff member scanned our tickets and told us about the free lockers to store our bags, restrooms through the gift shop, where to start, and no running. He also stamped our hands with a star. All the rooms were very impressive, but I have to say my favorites were the ARIRANG Wave, Flower (Roses & Little Wings), Beach, Star (Milky Way), coloring station, and Garden (The Finale). The ARIRANG Wave room showcases giant, crashing tidal waves confined seamlessly behind massive digital panels and it displays Arirang in korean. The flower room was an infinite, mirrored field filled with falling petals, illuminated butterflies, and blooming roses that react and change when touched. The beach was a serene, illuminated nighttime coastline featuring realistic digital waves and a glowing whale. I really felt like I was on a beach and the waves sounded so realistic. The star is a mirrored infinity room utilizing glowing hanging lanterns to recreate the depth of a starry night sky. The coloring station is where I colored a dragon and after finishing, I scanned it in and watched it appear on a giant shared wall projection. The Garden is a massive signature room that reatured alternating 15-minute visual projection loops paired with specific tracks: No. 29: Minimalist digital landscapes projecting the silhouettes of all seven BTS members alongside the resonance of digital bells; Body to Body: An abstract, vibrant visualization responding dynamically to the rhythm and heavy percussion of the music; Swim: A surreal, multi-sensory deep-ocean environment featuring seven digital orcas swimming around the room; 2.0: A large-format interactive projection room that made guests feel as though they had walked straight into a BTS music video; Into the Sun: The emotional finale segment that connected the cityscapes of Las Vegas, Busan, and New York, symbolizing hope and the bond between BTS and ARMY. I could spend hours in The Garden room. Some of the rooms even had scents. It was a full sensory experience and I enjoyed every second of it. The Arte Museum gift shop was also really nice. I really liked the flower smell from the Flower (Roses & Little Wings) room so I purchased a flower room spray ($14.95). Over the next few days, I saw on social media that Arte museum sells The BTS "Spring Day" Music Box. I don't recall seeing it the day I went, but I sent an inquiry through their website if they had any in stock. The next day, Gwen from the Management Team responded and she said the BTS Spring Day Music Box is in stock, with a cap of 2 per person while supplies last. Due to the exclusivity, high demand, and limited stock of BTS merchandise, they are opening their merchandise shop to only those who purchased admissions tickets. I explained that I was just there on Friday, July 24, 2026 and had purchased something else and sent her all my receipts. She checked with the general manager and I was allowed to visit the Arte Museum gift shop without purchasing another ticket. YAY!! I went back and purchased 2 of The BTS "Spring Day" Music Box ($59.95). Gwen was a pleasure to speak with and she was very understanding. Also, with a purchase at Arte Museum, you will receive a free limited edition shopping bag. It is really nice. I highly highly recommend you to check out Arte Museum. Walking through and taking in all the rooms are definitely worth your time. My friends and I spent about an hour and 1/2 at Arte Museum but you may take longer or shorter. When you walk in you are walking into immersive exhibits, where you feel like you are actually there. You are walking through nature of flowers, the beach with waves coming up to your toes, a Forrest, the ocean with whales and fish, a tornado and more. It's the last presentation that sends the real wow experience to you. You see the NY art, the workers on the streets, beautiful art by all the famous artists. They all come alive. What can you really say about interactive art!? Well I'll tell you! It's so cool!! Being able to finally go to a museum where you can touch and draw and just be immersed in the experience of art is so much fun! The Arte is actually a really great exhibit. I've been to one that has the slightest edge on the Arte but only because the Arte is actually quite small in comparison. I do wish they had a few more rooms for you to go in especially for it being in NY you would think it would be overwhelmingly huge but nope. We bought the cafe experience with our tickets and it honestly was a little blah. It's only $5 so I won't take away a star for that but the tables had interactive art on them so that was a bonus. The cons are once you enter the cafe you can't go back through that's it! Tour over! So make sure you do all the things before you get there! I do give it a 5 out of 5 because it's still really cool and fun to just go have the experience! read more

Easy to find with signs inside the Chelsea Pier venue. I purchased tickets advance online, but it looked like there was a walk up line to buy as well on site. It is a sensory overload. A lot of the rooms are deceiving to the eyes too. Look out for where you walk as there are mirrors you can bump into. Different themed rooms with signs providing brief. First time here. Was there a few weeks back. The projector focussed place is a bit over hyped. The tickets are expensive for sure. And the fact that the kids had same price tickets is funny! As we entered, we were checked in and the show started. There were rooms that had flower show, waterfall, history, forest, star , sea shore, tornado etc etc. I liked the tornado the most. The rooms aren't kid friendly and our kids got hurt while we were there. The staff was good and helpful though. The star room was good and next to it was the drawing board for kids which we liked. After you exit, you enter the cafe where they sell over priced snacks and drinks. Not sure if wanna go back again or recommend it to anyone. read more

There is nothing more satisfying but to be on an interactive immersive museum. This museum has sectional immersive rooms simply showing one art at a time. Each room portrays unique subject eg waterfalls, tornado, flowers, waves etc . There is one immersive room concentrates on children's artistic expression and turns their art in motion. I am willing to bring young child here and let his vision awaken. Crazy to know that the time spent here went so fast. We didn't realize that we're already here for 2 hours. We were enjoying every second of our stay. The last section which is an immersive cafe solidified that this Art museum is a great place to be. Initially flashy, but upon reflection, you realize it's really just a few rooms with projections. Super underwhelming. That tornado thing? We've seen it in a free museum in Utah minus the pretentiousness. Some other issues: we went early and the lines were short but by the time we came out, the line was out the door and around the corner. They really need timed entry tickets to manage this. We went in the morning and the bathrooms were already looking iffy. Overall, the experience did not match the pricing. Good for social media pics but not much else. "Shallow" captures it perfectly and you can do the whole thing under 15 mins if you choose..not a lot of depth or meaning..I think it's like 7 rooms? I mean, I did enjoy it but I wish someone else had paid. At these prices, I give it 2/5. If tickets were around twenty dollars, maybe a 3/5. read more

I came here with some family members and it was a nice experience. There were several rooms where they basically use screens and mirrors to make it look like real scenes. There were a few rooms where you could smell the environment too, like the flower room smelled of flowers. There was also a make your own design room where you color an animal and they make it come to life. We spent maybe about 45 minutes. I think it goes by pretty quick. The price was pretty steep, so I'm not sure if I would do something like this again for this price. But still glad I experienced it. We also got drinks as part of our tickets and some of them were good but I wasn't a big fan of my apple no-hito. It was fun taking photos with my friends! Some rooms are better than others. Most rooms are just projectors on walls of interesting graphics and movies. It's like the Van Gogh experience but bigger, it's def better than the Van Gogh experience. Still too expensive, I think even with the coupon we had it was still $55 a person. I think that's close to meow wolf prices (I know there is not one in nyc yet) but Meow Wolf is 100x better. I just felt like this experience is so bare, it feels so empty when it's just staring at screens on walls. I did really like the sun and moon sculpture piece which was not just a wall. You have to wait in a 30 min line though. Can walk inside and take cute photos. Also the room with the hanging lanterns was fun. Except do not wear a skirt! There are mirrors on the floor and you can literally look up a dress or a skirt. Not many places to sit down. We spent about 2 hours in there but I think you can cut it down to 1.5. My feet were sore after from standing. Some rooms have scent attached to them. Which you can buy in the gift store after. The first room waterfall is pretty cool, it actually smelled like a waterfall. Wish they had some mist going though. The tornado room was cool you walk around and a tornado forms! I don't really understand the direction of this place, they started out with projected screens and scents, then moved to random small rooms with things other than projectors and then back to a big projector room. Such a beautiful and immersive experience. The exhibits are artistic, creative, and visually stunning, and it immediately reminded me of teamLab in Japan. It's easy to walk through, not overwhelming, and wasn't overly crowded when I went which made it even more enjoyable! It is smaller and quicker than I expected, but still very well done and worth seeing. I bought a ticket that included a free drink at the café afterward, but unfortunately there were no dairy-free or plain coffee options I could have due to my allergies. That part felt disappointing, especially since it was included in the ticket. I wish they could've offered at least a bottled water as an alternative. That said, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and the exhibit itself was unique and thoughtfully curated. We had a spectacular experience at the Arte Museum. My family and I really loved it. Each section had a charm of its own creating, an atmosphere that was well worth indulging in. They had many interactive rooms, and the staff were friendly, well-organized, and helpful when needed. We especially enjoyed coloring our own mythical creatures, scanning them, and then watching them come to life on the screen. A few things I would recommend are: - using the restrooms before beginning the self-guided tour, as guests are not permitted to backtrack. -leaving larger coats and jackets inside free lockers located in the main lobby. -parking at MPG Parking Garage located at 515 West 18th Street- a little pricey but convenient and close to the museum. The full experience took us about three hours, and we could have easily stayed longer. Needless to say I would absolutely return! I highly recommend visiting. read more

This is a cool immersive exhibit located in the Chelsea Piers complex area. My friend and ai were excited ti check it out. As soon as we stepped foot inside It had a strong smell to it. I have a very good nose when it comes to smells. It was a bit over powering. This exhibit has different smaller interactive exhibits where you can touch and be a part of. The smell component is a part of each separate sections too. It is a cool concept of a place and glad we got to check it out. There is a cafe at the end of all the exhibits. Not sure what they serve but we did not stay and look. So, I can't talk about the cafe in this. I would suggest checking this exhibit out if you are in the area though. read more

This was a cool interactive experience for our family. My kid enjoyed herself and we spent a lot longer in the exhibit than I would have thought. The last room was our favorite and the longest part of the entire experience. Each room played with your senses. The displays were amazing. The tornado room was very cool. We were able to color in our own animals and watch them come alive as part of the exhibit. It was nice to just be creative and sit and color. The café at the end was nice. We paid the five dollars extra on our tickets which got us an included drink from the café. You break even if you get a water but you actually save 2 bucks if you order one of the other drinks. I tried the banana "shake" but it's not creamy and tasted like they're mixed a banana-flavored powder with water or coconut water. It tasted gritty but they allowed me to switch it out for a latte which was way better. They top it with what tasted like a creamy cheese foam. My kiddo had the green apple mojito which was good. We spent some time in the café as the tables are also interactive. They have lockers that are free, but are first come, first serve. There is also a gift shop with some reasonably priced items. We had a good night and we're able to score free parking across the street. read more

Pleasantly surprised!! I was skeptical that it was going to be an overpriced exhibit, but it was SO cool and SUPER fun. Every room was different. The floors and walls would be touch sensitive, e.g., so petals would move away when you step on it or fireflies would appear when you touch it -- it was super similar to the Tokyo Team Labs! You would also walk around in a circle with other guests to form a tornado. You can color an animal, and they have a scanner that renders it onto the big screen. I know immersive art experiences are all the rage right now and I know some of y'all love them. I'm in the other camp. I think they're outrageously expensive Instagram photo ops. In a city with a dozen great art museums that cost $20-40 less than admission to Arte Museum, I found the crowds when I visited this past Saturday depressing. I know - it's cool that it's interactive. And I'm sure kids are into it (it was funny to see a few kids running around the edges of rooms interacting with some of the exhibits). But I was bored and annoyed at myself for booking tickets within minutes (there was one room that I liked; I'll get to that below). So why were we there? We had dinner with friends at 6pm in Chelsea, and we were coming from Soho. It just fit in: right location and open after 5pm. But after visiting, god I wish I'd just stayed put at the wine bar an extra hour. Would have been cheaper and more fun. This is probably my 5th of these types of experiences. I've enjoyed one (one in Montreal that focuses on real photography of nature and telling the story of biodiversity) and thought one was okay (the one on Van Gogh; I actually found it educational even if you don't see any real pieces by Van Gogh). This was my least favorite I've been to. I thought the "exhibitions" (rooms) were simplistic and often poor quality (the projections weren't the clearest). Most (Waterfall Infinite, Flower Roses and Little Wings, Flower Hibiscus Seed, Flower Rose Odyssey, Beach Night Being, Wave, Star Milky Way, Forest, Sun, Moon, and Tornado), I was over within a minute or two. The only one that held my interest at all was the collaboration they've done with the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. The room is projected with pieces from the museum, organized by collection, movement, or artist, and the projections of the paintings included museum labels telling you the name of the piece and artist. One central part of the room included a projection that explained the collection, movement, or artist that was being projected for that 1-2 minute span. This collaboration is an example of these immersive art experiences getting something right - not just a computational art piece that feels like a screensaver you can watch for 1-10 minutes (some people visiting at the same time as us were certainly high, and I'm sure I could have lasted longer looking at some of these "exhibitions" if I had been high, too), but something that is interesting and inspiring and - dare I say it? - even a little educational. General admission for 2 adults on a weekend (weekdays are slightly cheaper) ran us $130 (that did not include the small additional fee to visit the Arte Cafe). By comparison, admission to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the best art museums in the world, where you can spend hours, where you can spend a full day, is $30 per person (for adults). Different strokes for different folks and respect to everyone who goes and loves it. But this art and art museum lover wishes she could take her half hour and $130 back. read more

Beautiful immersive art museum!! It was a little hard to find - it's in Chelsea piers but you have to go inside and look for the Arte museum mural and then you can find the entrance. The museum itself has many different themed exhibits that are interactive. The immersive art element even includes scents -- each exhibit has its own unique fragrance. Be sure to check out their restrooms -- these fragrances are also included in the hand soaps. I took off one star because I was excited about the immersive cafe at the end, but the cafe experience didn't work. This place was visually stunning in each and every room. I bought my ticket online for a 10AM slot. I highly recommend going early in the morning as the museum tends to get crowded later in the day. They have a family restroom and lactation room located through the gift shop. The museum takes roughly an hour and a half to go through, however I went with family and we stayed for almost 3 hours. The kids enjoyed the area where you create your own creature. My favorite rooms were the flower room, wave room, beach night and the garden room. I will definitely be going again read more

We checked out the Arte Museum last Friday and I have mixed feelings. I've been to two from other states before and this one felt the most lacking by comparison. Besides maybe two rooms, there really wasn't much of the "interactive" experience that it advertises. Some of the rooms were definitely better than others and we did get a few fun pictures but overall it just didn't feel worth the price. It felt more like walking through poor quality digital displays rather than being immersed in them. We also added on the drink experience at the end, which I'd honestly skip. This is such a fun experience for everyone. It's interactive so the kids will have a blast. It's just a good time stopping and staring at the art and colors. They even have a section where you can have snack and coffee or other drinks. Of course there's a gift shop too so you can bring home stuff from your experience. Can Yelp provide an extra star for Awesomeness? Well this place makes you wonder if you are in the land of Avatar. The colors, lights, sound, smell and the aura all come together to serve a surreal out of the world experience. First things first - the place does have covered parking (comes with a hour based fee) which you can enter through Pier 61, where this museum is situated but the space is limited. We literally drove around 4 times before we got lucky and got an empty spot. Next is the long line to get in. You book tickets through Fever app/website and the tickets are books for a particular day which means there is no specific time window to enter in a given day. People must have been standing for at least 30 mins in the cold weather before they could enter. We had a toddler and were provided quick access. Coming to the actual experience - the place has so many attractions that take your breath away. The waterfalls and flower garden were pretty cool. But for me the best experience was the Night Being that features large blue whales, dolphins and turtles and the Forest that features mystical creatures. They also have a digital art form transformation where you get to color and then scan a set of already printed animals like Bull, Elephant, Tiger and Phoenix that appear on large screens with your chosen colors. The Arte cafe was a fun spot too where they had digital art embedded on the tables and you end the tour on the gift shop. I had a wonderful time here i wish there was an adults only time...respectful adult time. The exhibits were all very interactive visual, smell and sound But the kids allowed to run around , jump, flip and scream was crazy. I love an excited kid learning and understanding but still respectful to others. This was not that. I wish they had some type of security to let parents know they need to get a handle on their offspring. Other than manic kids and rude adults I enjoyed the sensory experience. To pay money and have to deal with a chunky cheese type atmosphere is wild. Maybe very early right when it opens is the best time. read more

This is not touristy. It's digital high tech art promoting the beauty of nature. Kid friendly. A high tech art installation by a Korean company. They have it in NYC, Las Vegas, and Dubai, in cities in South Korea (Jeju Island, Yeosu, Gangneung, and Busan) and Chengdu, China. Immersive art is always fascinating bc it's interactive. You walk on the digital art w leaves and they move away from your steps or butterflies appear. You touch the walls and shapes move around. There are mirrors and glass that provide the illusion of infinite space. You can color paper animals (phoenix, bull) and scan it and it appears on the wall! That was most exciting. You walk into a simulated tornado, you have a room with ocean waves crashing and you feel cooler in the room w the noises of nature. There were sounds of the woods, water, and animals. My adult ears were a bit sensitive. It's smart & mesmerizing. It's accessible for those in wheelchairs and wheelchairs can be borrower for free. If you pay a little extra $5 for $50 per person you get a drink at the end. The cafe has tables that reflect nature. Denise at the cafe was the sweetest ever...so humble and kind and friendly. She made my day bc of her loving heart. I give kudos to her supervisor Laura for hiring her and the others who were kind as well. I was excited the cafe snacks included some Korean snacks but felt 1 of the 2 weren't the best choices for the 2 snacks. Like honey yakhwa w yogurt? It's more like yakgwa in spelling and the cookie yes it's a traditional wheat flour w sesame oil and honey but personally i think it could be good w vanilla haagen daaz ice cream. The other choice was bung-o-pang which in Korean means fish bread but it's nothing made of fish - it's like a Japanese tayaki waffle shell with sweet custard or something salty (I think eating it w custard or ice cream is best like green tea or vanilla vs pizza filling which was actually the only flavor left 10-30-25). They had fun choices also like dippin dots ice cream which is a fave of kids and then there is matcha or milk tea or banana drink. I loved that the cafe used glass cups to be kind to our earth. No take out cups used bc it was supposed to be enjoyed as part of this experience. Bathrooms are right after the cafe after the exhibits. I could have enjoyed this for 3 hours just meditating and coloring and soaking up the beauty of nature and animals. I bought holographic postcards ($3.95 each) very pretty. 2 cons: 1. Sounds were a bit loud ... a bit lower would have been nice (a toddler covered his ears in pain esp at the crashing waves exhibit) 2. Most people won't care about this bc most are not affected but I am: I totally get it that engaging the 5 senses is impactful. But Many exhibits had scents like lavender or nature scents so I had to wear a mask bc it was triggering :-( they were strong like plug ins (throat irritation and swelling and if exposed to it for several hours it closes my throat and i go to the ER). Please consider people with chemical sensitivity bc it can be a medical emergency for us. Many uber and Lyft drivers also use air fresheners and scents and it's killing ppl like me. If the strength of the scents were decreased I would have felt better. 3. Seats in each exhibit room please I understand maybe not a lot of space or maybe it's not the idea but if the art is meditative and calming it would be nice to have seats when we get tired or just want to soak up the imagery. read more
