Despite having clear forensic proof of zero policyholder fault, NCFB refuses to issue a standard administrative statement or status note on my C.L.U.E. loss report confirming 0% policyholder fault / third-party contractor liability. Even if NCFB chooses not to pursue subrogation for its own financial recovery, factual accuracy and fair reporting dictate that my public insurance record must accurately reflect that I was completely without fault. To make matters worse, instead of fixing their record, NCFB attempted to push an alternative policy from another company that carried a steep $2,500 deductible and did not even cover key areas of my home properly. NCFB management was well aware that my husband and I are 70 and 78 years old living on a fixed income, yet they attempted to steer us toward an underinsured policy rather than correcting their own administrative errors. NCFB continues to direct blame onto secondary underwriters. However, my current insurance agent formally confirmed in writing to Tyler and me: "As of this morning, Underwriting has advised that if Farm Bureau is not going to subrogate, or add messages I am 0% not at fault, then unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done." This written admission proves that NCFB's refusal to subrogate or clarify third-party fault directly prevents secondary carriers from adjusting my rating--locking my annual premium in at an inflated $3,100 per year.
