I had smoked salmon with a bagel and the plate was pretty plain and unexciting. Cream cheese came in a small cup and not on the bagel so by the time you get the plate and put it on your bagel it's cold so not that great. They also do not have poached egg so that was also a let down. Was not awful but will not be going back for sure

It is next door to a beautiful church and has an awesome landscaped view of snow-topped peaks and water. We went on a sunny but snowy day early on a Saturday morning and were surprised to see it was already open! Inside it is super cosy and warm, with the chocolate boutique separate from the cafe area. We discovered that they are famous for their caramel but unfortunately, did not get a chance to try them (hopefully going back especially for this next time). As it was quite early for me, I just had a hot chocolate (which by the way, was one of the BEST hot chocs I have had) made with pure melted chocolate and topped with marshmallows. I devoured this whilst gazing out into the brightly-lit mountainous landscape - it honestly felt as if I was at a skiing lodge. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and the other customers all seemed to be having full breakfasts which looked so good! The place seems to be very popular with the locals as it began to get full whilst we were about to leave. Overall, great little find and cannot wait to be back to sample some more!!

Their resto is absolutely delicious! This was one of the most memorable meals I've had in a while. They have a daily menu that is vegetarian, vegan and GF friendly. They have sandwiches, salad bowls and a soup of the day. We ordered the gravlax bowl and vege ham sandwich. The vege ham tasted like ham paté and the gravlax bowl was one of the best dishes ice had in a while. It was healthy and umami. We also ordered coffee and tired their desserts. Their raspberry tart was packed with raspberry flavor and the lemon tart was made with tofu but you'd never know. We sat out in their lovely terrace and didn't budge for 2 hours ! Their store is filled with cosmetics and the usual health food products. What I liked the most though is that all their meats, cheeses and butter came from local farms in Estrie. What a lovely business, do stop by!

L'Eau Vive natural grocery store was the perfect solution: neat, tidy, a great selection of quality foods packed onto a relatively small footprint and a bonus! The small, upstairs restaurant is light, airy, and naturally, has a healthy menu. So plan your shopping around lunchtime!

I chose a full breakfast with three meats plus a pancake. I think they dropped the baking soda in the pancake batter because that was all I tasted. It left a very uncomfortable feel in my mouth. Beurk! I asked my eggs to be turned and on of them came out nearly fully cooked as in my yolk was nearly hard. Not runny! They also forgot to include the creton and baked beans on my husband's plate. We just reminded them and the waitress gladly got him the rest of his food with a big smile. Like I said, good service.

Not terrible but not amazing either…read more The hostess didn't offer to seat us outside or give us the choice between a booth and a table. After walking through the entire restaurant and realizing there was a lot of booths available (our personal preference), we asked to switch and had to awkwardly walk back and watch her prepare another table. Not a huge deal, but a little lacking in customer care. There is an extensive menu ranging from several eggs Benedict's variations to many versions of a classic breakfasts, multiple pancakes and French toasts options and a number of healthy breakfast items. The food, however, is simply nothing special. It also took a bit of time which made me wonder if I could've just made it at home myself. The answer: not quite because morning reasons, but almost. The scrambled eggs were over cooked, which frankly is on par with the average breakfast place (seriously, why is it so hard to get good scrambled eggs?) The chili, however, was quite good and pairs nicely with their potato rösti, which was also good, albeit a bit thin/small for my taste. The waitress mistakenly ordered a pancake instead of French toast but graciously corrected the mistake. The French toast was not worth the extra wait. Most plates come with warm cinnamon apples which I really liked. Also, the fruits on the plate were very fresh which is nice. I think the plates are a bit smaller than the average breakfast place which I personally don't mind as I find they are usually way too large, resulting in overeating and still ending up wasting food. I ordered one of their smaller egg/ham plate with an extra French toast and I was full. My breakfast mates ordered larger plates and half of them didn't touch the toasts because they were full. Prices are fair. There is a small patio in the parking lot. We got there around 10:30 on a Saturday, didn't have to wait. When we left around noon there was a fairly long lineup. Overall, this place feels more like a 2.5 stars but I rounded it up because there is nothing really offensive about this place, and the chili is actually quite good.
