The goods: I'd been meaning to try this bakery for a while so since I had an appointment just up the street from them, I decided to stop in yesterday (a Thursday) around Noon. I got loaf (pain de ménage), a quiche (courgette), a chocolate eclair and a slice of their 'exotic' cheesecake. First, the quiche was delicious and the perfect size for lunch. If you are having a salad or veggies (any kind of side dish, really), then I would say half the quiche would be perfect. Anyway, the quiche was incredibly tasty and not greasy or heavy. I would definitely pick a few of these up again. I then tried the cheesecake, which had a nice texture (consistent but not as heavy as 'commercial' cheesecakes) and a thick layer of mango/pineapple on top. I didn't find this dessert to be overly sweet (bonus) and overall, quite enjoyed it. I'm generally not a big fan of mango (I find them too sweet) so look forward to trying another variety in the future! I haven't had the eclair yet so can't comment. I tried the bread this morning and it was a solid piece of toast! Great consistency, not heavy and not too sweet or salty. I ordered the burger and the bargain chicken burger. I was disappointed. Like most of the hot food at Tims is pré-cooked. All they do is assemble. Both buns are cold. I prefer my buns toasted (ahum). The condiments are limited to mustard ketchup mayo tomato lettuce. The burger was undercooked. It looked steamed, unlike what A&W serves which has char and grill marks. The taste was quite disappointing. If you must eat this ask them to toast the bread and maybe spicy mayo from some other sandwich. Btw same thing for the chicken sandwich.
