The staff is friendly... but slow and easily distracted. The cashier was taking a phone order while several of us were waiting, pretty unacceptable when another staff member should be able to take a call. We ordered a coffee and a mimosa. Well, they had to go back and check to see if they had juice... they did not. I asked for just the bubbly instead, she had to go back and check again. How do they not know or keep things on their menu in stock? Oh well, they had the bubbly so it was okay. For food we ordered a pastry and a croissant sandwich. The biscotti and pastry were delicious. For some reason, they decided to panini press the croissant sandwich. What the heck, who would do that? Why didn't they ask? Tasty sandwich, but completely ruined due to crushing the croissant. We were expecting it to come straight out of the case and at most maybe microwaved to warm it, not just destroyed in a panini press. Cool vibes, nice atmosphere, food is good, tea menu looks amazing. But, the staff don't seem to have a clue to what they are doing.

I got 2 regular meat pies ($3.25 each) and 2 meat with pomegranate sauce pies ($3.25 each) for my husband and I. I have had many Middle Eastern meat pies, but this was my first time having a meat pie with pomegranate sauce. The pomegranate flavour was subtle and I mostly just tasted a twinge of sweetness to the pie. It was interesting, but I think I prefer regular meat pies instead. The regular meat pie was good and the seasonings are very different from the majority of other meat pies in the city. It had ground meat, tomatoes and parsley inside. The pastry of both pies were thin and crispy which I liked. I don't like it when it's too doughy. The pies were also a good size with a good amount of meat. They make for a very affordable snack. There are a few tables to eat in and a water fountain inside the bakery. Staff were pleasant. And I immediately like anyone who gives me free cookies, lol. The bakery is located in a strip mall. It was about the size of a French macaron. I had a taste of my husband's Chocolate Swiss roll slice and it also wasn't too sweet. The cake was soft and fluffy and the cream was light and airy. The dough is the perfect thickness, not too thick nor too thin. It was slightly crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside. I asked for spice, but no lemon juice. The spice here adds flavour but no heat. They make the meat pies in the back, so you don't see the oven like at Aladdin and some other Lebanese meat pie shops. When you order they give you a buzzer which flashes and vibrates when your order is ready. Staff were courteous and service was efficient. It's a takeout joint only. I have not shopped there again after an incident a few years ago where I called ahead to reserve a sugar free cake and found when i got home that the cake had moldy berries on it and touch the cake too so it likely was in the display case for 1-2 days. Mom insisted that she did not want any of us eating a cake with mold on it, so an expensive cake was discarded. When I called, they said they had at the time an outside baker that came in once a week to bake the sugar-free cakes, and they freeze it. If a cake is past its best, they should have defrosted another cake since they were selling a supposedly premium product. Customer service by I think the owner's mother or a co-owner was terrible. She offered us a bag of cookies that l seen in the store before and looked kind of stale and remember we have a diabetic in the family! With that experience, we have been getting our cakes elsewhere, either sugar free or regular cakes but smaller ones, so dad would eat a maximum of 2 slices lol
