A beautiful cafe in the heart of Kanata. I love their decor, the yellow color makes me happy. Their coffees are top notch and their sandwiches are very fresh and yummy. I love the expanded menu, now you can grab breakfast, and some days they are open for light bite dinner which we tried and was very good. I also like the little kids corner they have, it helps keep my 3 year old busy while Im enjoying my coffee. My only concern is hen I leave this place I always smell so much like food, as if I was in the kitchen with them prepping food. Hope they can consider better ventilation or something!

One of the best interior designed and largest cafes in Kanata! There's indoor dining and an outdoor patio. I had coffee with my mum and we shared a fig bar. Love the jazz music they were playing. There's also breakfast/lunch options and a small selection of alcoholic beverages. I enjoyed this more than Starbucks! Prices are similar to Starbucks. One star off because most of the chairs are metal so it's uncomfortable to sit in for over an hour, they do have some sofas though.

Latte is always good

It is always an amazing atmosphere and coffee , nice to sit on the patio or inside I tried the scones were good as well

Hip n calm aesthetics surrounding the bar

Friendly staff, fantastic coffee using Little Victories beans, and baked goods made in-house from scratch with lots of love. The ambience and decor are very warm and welcoming! I love that I can watch soccer matches Saturday morning here.

BLT... Maybe there's a shortage of lettuce bacon and tomatoes in the city.

Nice staff but they need to fix their website hours. It is open on Sunday! Good cup of coffee and nice staff.

A nice coffee shop located in a quiet neighborhood in Kanata, was crowded at around 10 am in the morning on a weekend.

Very cute and demure café with a cozy and unique vibe! Though seating is quite limited to half of…read morethe store, it's still a peaceful sitting environment. From the beautifully decorated walls with cherry blossom paintings to the owner's very own toy collection (which im incredibly jealous of), my inner child was satisfied! They have very special tasty drinks and food on their menu. The bubble egg waffles are made fresh and slightly warm, pairing well with the cold scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate drizzle. The smoked salmon also was not fishy whatsoever and OUUU don't get me started on the deluxe chicken waffle sandwich. It was our first time trying it and we thought the chicken would we wrapped in an egg waffles shell, but surprise! They added a very warm and soft bread ON TOP of the egg waffle. Tbh i'm usually not the biggest fan of plain white bread and was afraid that it'll be stale or chewy, but I'm gonna hold your hand when I say this- it was literal perfection. Beyond the soft chicken, inside the sandwich has pickles, lettuce, and mayonnaise. The dirty coffee was also so YUM, but it can be pretty heavy. It's sweet from all the chocolate drizzle and slight cream on the top, but pairs well with the coffee at the bottom- just make sure that after you take the first sip, to stir well! But warning- might not be ideal for those who are black coffee fanatics and don't have the biggest sweet tooth!

The drinks are unique and fabulous. Desserts are delicious. The dirty coffee is decadent. Great…read moreservice and ambiance.

The fam and I stumbled into Equator coffee that replaced Starbucks in Indigo. I am not a Starbucks…read moregirl. I will purchase Starbucks if its my last resort as a treat, but I find their baked goods/food uninspiring and overpriced. I also do not enjoy their coffee, and don't even get me started on their refreshers, its basically full of ice. ANYWAYS, this is not a Starbucks review. Equator was a breath of fresh air. The interior was clean and bright, with the most amazing, cheerful staff. They carry Suzy Q donuts which we did order (oreo and blueberry fritter, both amazing) and the hubs grabbed a flat white. The drink menu is on the smaller side, which I like. Too many options confuse me. I like things to be simple. They also have some prepared foods like sandwiches, and some bowls. I did notice a chickpea salad bowl, which I will have to try next time. Only downside, is this place is so popular that with the many tables around, there was no seating. I stood eating my donut, until we luckily had a table open up a couple bites in. I would love if they added some bar stools around the barista station. There are some outdoor tables, but it was a chilly day. I CANNOT wait for Equator to open at the Indigo on Ogilvie.

All this to say that the Equator coffee shop is big and bright, more spacious with more seating than the previous one. For instance, the dividing retractable door is gone. When one shop is open, so is the other one, The coffee is good - such as the freaking good coffee line. Equator offers a small variety of food. And the staff is friendly and helpful. I used to be a regular in the previous place; then I moved away! So, I'll be back when I can.
