Tim Hortons makes the best coffee in my opinion. I live in Massachusetts, and there are no Tim Hortons stores anywhere near me. I'd been buying large cans (32 oz) of their coffee from Amazon for years, but Amazon recently stopped selling the large cans. I was on vacation in Salamanca, saw the store, and went in. I put 5 cans of coffee on the counter and the young man behind the counter said, "Wow." I told him about Amazon, and his response was, "We don't offer a 50% discount. We're not Walmart." What kind of a thing is that to say? I told him I wasn't looking for a 50% discount and he replied that he was joking. Then I asked for 2 TimBits, and he asked if f they were for my dog. I told him they were for me. Why did he ask that? Now - to review my purchase. I live in Dunkin country, but Tim Hortons coffee is MUCH better than Dunkin. (I might be expelled from MA for saying that, but it's true.) The TimBits were waaaay too sweet for me. I much prefer Dunkin Munchkins. I also bought a mini strawberry/cheese pastry, and that was delicious. Had it with coffee the next morning and it hit the spot. The person working in the store was pretty young - maybe 17. I don't usually review fast food joints, but I felt the need to at least get this Tim Horton's onto Yelp since they've been open almost two years and nobody's reviewed them yet. If you've never been to a Tim Horton's, they're similar to Dunkin' Donuts, but their food (including their donuts) is far superior to DD. They have great sandwiches, soup and coffee drinks. The only thing that annoys me is that they don't offer sleeves for their coffee drinks, but they'll give you an extra cup if you ask for it. I think this is universal to all Tim Horton's and I'm not sure how other people do it, because it's humanly impossible to hold onto that thin paper cup with scalding hot coffee inside. To their credit, they DO offer many mugs and "to go" containers-insulated and otherwise so I think the goal is to get you to NOT use a paper cup (or at least spend money on their products). We usually hit them up for breakfast on the way out of town. My favorite thing to get is the combo with a sandwich, drink and side of either hash browns or donuts. Their hash browns are a little on the greasy side and usually illicit an emergency bathroom break a few miles down the road. If you're familiar with this section of the country, you know there aren't a whole lot of "facilities" around, so it's probably best to avoid the hash browns. I love their jelly filled donut holes-five in a side order. They have pretty decent bagels for a fast food place and I usually get a bagel sandwich with ham and egg, but last time they had maple flat bread that was awesome with sausage, egg and cheese. They have somewhat wacky hours and we've stopped by at certain times when we thought they would be open (like early Sunday evening) and they were closed. This particular Tim's is very strange. They run out of things constantly, and they are extremely inconsistent in the quality of the beverages/food you order. Sometimes the Iced coffee I get (milk + shot of espresso) is made very well, with proper proportions of coffee, milk, espresso, and ice. Sometimes the coffee has no ice in it, improper for iced coffee, and I have had on multiple occasions to obtain my own ice and place it in my beverage. That's horrible. The food is also very erratic in quality. Sometimes paninis will be cooked to be crispy and flavorful, along with the breakfast sandwiches and the chicken sandwiches. However, a lot of times they come out sloppy or even cold. I hate the inconsistency. When I'm home from college this is all I have for a café in town, so it suffices. Sometimes it's like most other Tim's in the world and is decent, and other times it is extremely poor in quality, service, and consistency. read more

I'm usually disappointed with salamanca tim Hortons. I only go back because of the coffee and I give up and I'm never going there again. They usually run out of things, the lady always screams next order right after I take my debit card back forcing me to struggle putting my coffee down and breakfast so I can move along quick enough. This morning the person at the window seen me spill my entire coffee all over my vehicle and then offered napkins. I accepted and expected a refill considering and she told me have a nice day after she gave me the napkins. What a bitch. Never going back there again. read more

The old staff from a year or two has come and gone and so has the quality of the service. Drive-thru is quick and efficient during the weekdays, but stay away if you are in a hurry on weekends. Doughnut selection is iffy at best. They tend to run out of them fast and don't have any in waiting to fill up the shelves. read more

One of the worst run Tim Hortons I've been in!! Slow service! Loud horrible music and employees have to sing and talk loud so annoying to the customers! What ever happen to good customer service is beyond me. Two registers and only one open and customers are standing inline and all the employees do is worry about drive through! I guess if you're feeling some breakfast, this is a good place to go. I am not a coffee drinker so cannot comment on that however I do enjoy the unsweetened tea. Very good. The breakfast sandwiches are not very good. Barely any flavor, just a mass in your mouth. Lunch and dinner isn't much better. Average at best food, even for fast food. Really not recommended. Unfortunately this location is very dirty, chaotic and seems poorly managed. The floors always have garbage strewn all over, tables and counters always dirty. Food pricing often wrong and food quality consistently inconsistent. Line staff seem to try but must lack support, training and good management.
