What a great retreat. I was apprehensive about attending Timber Creeks weekend retreat, I just did not know what to expect, especially going by myself. I almost cancelled a few times but at the last minute I decided to take the leap, I am so happy I did. I felt pampered all weekend. I was able to fully disconnect (or not). The entire property is beautifully done, the rooms, the public areas, the landscaping, trails etc. Everything was pristine and well maintained. My room was large but cozy and relaxing, the bed was comfortable with soft sheets, blankets, and pillows. I was given one of the king rooms with two chairs and a private bathroom, it was beautiful. Windows everywhere, I felt like I was staying in a treehouse. From what I could tell, all the rooms were designed to have a great view of nature. The public areas are wonderful for reading, bird/animal watching, journaling and more. I could always find a place to chill on my own or find a place with the group. The trails and outdoor spaces are maintained very well. The trail provided short and longer trails both trails were easy, peaceful and quiet. Chef Heather made amazing meals. Everything was healthy and delicious and was clearly made with care. The staff helping with the meals were sweet and accommodating. The flow was wonderful. Tom and Beth are the sweetest couple and went out of their way to make everyone feel welcomed. They made conversations easy and were respectful when individuals needed time alone. They are a perfect couple to run the retreat. The guided meditations were great, they were not long, less than 15 minutes. They include stories, quotes, music and more. Anyone can do this, even if you have never meditated before. Get the massage and the spiritual mentoring. The massage was great and the mentoring gave me some ah-ha moments. Loved both. Yoga was enjoyable and no, you do not need to be a die hard yogi to do the class. Every level can do the poses. Recommendation: Just book it and go, you will not regret it. I will be back read more

I think the reason so many don't go on to offer reviews is because we want to keep this little sweet thing a secret. I mean if we tell everyone when would you ever get in. As it is already, those who know, well KNOW and we just keep telling folks to the point where it's already a challenge to get in. If you have a date in mind give yourself plenty of time. You'll love Timber Creek from the moment you pull into the drive from Beth's pleasant and generous smile, to Tom's slapstick humor (is he kidding) to his warmth and capacity for each guest to the wonderful meals home cooked and creatively crafted by Sister Patty it's a lovely Family Affair! The meals, the fellowship, the massage, the yoga, meditation, quiet time, time alone, time together, the meals., oh I already said that...it's just a gift that keeps on giving And bringing you back~ Ok, I've said enough, I've got to book my next stay! Good luck to you and may you be well! read more

If you're looking for quiet relaxation you will love this place. The food is excellent (not gourmet but well prepared) and healthy but not weird healthy. Each room and private bath is tastefully decorated in lodge style. There are several areas where you can go to visit with others or find a quiet nook to read or just enjoy the silence. Loved the meditations before each meal looking out over the grounds and in the evening spotted deer. And Tom gives the BEST massages! Tom and Beth and the cook (can't remember her name) are a delight. This is a very warm and lovely place. read more
