My girlfriend and I chose Timberbush tours after much debate between companies. We took a 2 day tour for my birthday and Andrew T. had to be one of the best, most knowledgeable tour guides we have ever experienced!! If you are indecisive about picking a company, Timberbush helped make my 40th birthday the best ever!! Thank you to Timberbush and Andrew T!!

My husband and I did a 3 day Highlands tour from Edinburgh earlier this month. Upon reading good reviews for Timberbush, I decided to take a chance and book with them. I am so happy that we did. We had a perfect trip! Even before the trip, they were always very quick to respond to any questions I had and were on top of communication. Our driver-guide was Callum and he was really wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, funny and also had a good selection of music during our drive. He was very flexible as well and on the 2nd day, did a bit of a different take on the typical itinerary and everyone on the tour enjoyed that very much. I would highly recommend the tour as well as the company.

My wife and I did the tour of Anstruther, St. Andrew's, Falkland, and Queensbury. It was a large coach seating over 50 people. We had a knowledgeable tour guide who kept us informed; yet gave us time for things to sink in and to see the scenery. Most stops were short. St. Andrew's was the key part- had a couple of hours. Yet... we always were informed how much time we had. Never boring. Great views.

Lorna was a friendly, animated and aware tour guide! We took the Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle tour. She ensured we had the best possible experience and I learned so much from her. Thank you Lorna! (p.s. I loved Edinburgh Street Food, it was so fun!)

Took the Winter Tour to Glencoe, Glenfinnan, and Fort William. Our tour guide was George and driver was John. Had an excellent time on the tour. George did a fantastic job keeping the tour alive with his knowledge of history, jokes and stories. I can't leave John out because he drove so long and did it in a safe manner. I love to drive and safety is a main concern and John did a great job keeping us all safe while navigating rain soaked roads we encountered. I'd say the only negative issue was that there wasn't enough time. I'm sure that's everyone's problem when you're getting so much done in such a short time but it's so beautiful out there you want to stay longer. I highly recommend Timberbush and would use them again. Thank you to George and John for a wonderful, safe and memorable time!

We took the Loch Ness / Glencoe / Highlands tour with Simba 5/8/24 and were absolutely thrilled with Simba's knowledge of local history and folklore. He took us to places I had never dreamed of seeing. The stops we made were perfectly timed, and there was something for everyone. The bus was clean and comfortable. Simba is the friendliest tour guide/driver I've come across in this place! Thank you Timberbush tours for employing such quality people!

We took the day tour to St. Andrews, which also included the Village of Fife and Falkland (think Outlander). Philip was our driver and guide. He did an excellent job providing us with information and history, along with some humor. The only downside is Edinburgh, and the surrounding areas are covered with potholes which made the drive a bit uncomfortable. The bus was clean and comfortable.

A wonderful 3-day trip led by Neil, who not only was an excellent and safe minibus driver but also so incredibly knowledgeable, good-humored, and hospitable a host through the Scottish Highlands. Highly recommend-- it was quite nice to have accomodations arranged for us up in the Isle of Skye, as they seemed quite difficult to come by. Got to see so many places and spent a reasonable amount of time at each of them. Neil made sure we got to our accomodations safely and that we were running on time to see everything, even arranged tickets for us to take a boat out to Loch Ness-- to say nothing of the stories, tales, trivia that he shared throughout our 3-day trip. We have so much fun, and the environment among our group of 18 was full of hilarity and good humor. Definitely worth the time, definitely worth the money.

We had Paul E and John H as our tour guide team for the Glencoe, Highlands, and & Glenfinnan 1 day tour. John got us everywhere on time! Kudos to him. Paul did such a great job with his high energy and story telling. He was engaging and funny. Even when half the bus was asleep, he powered through and kept the stories & jokes rolling. 10/10. Overall, the tour was very long. It's a lot squeezed in. We thought we'd have a bit more time at each location to walk around and explore. We never spent more than 45 minutes at a stop, including lunch. But, it makes sense that you want to see it all and the only way to do it, is to squeeze it all in. Personally, Glencoe made it all worth it.

My family just took the 3 day bus tour to Isle of Skye. We had a great experience with this company from pick-up to drop-off. The enthusiasm and knowledge of Shelby, our driver and tour guide, made this a wonderful trip. From the first part of departing Edinburgh to driving through sparsely populated areas, to the magnificent Scottish HIghlands, Shelby made Scotland come alive with its beauty and history. The three days went by quickly and even my teenagers enjoyed it immensly.

Their non-cancelation policy within 7 days is not COVID friendly. My partner was positive at 5 days & we had to cancel or show up sick.

I was taking a diabetic medicine that was causing some bathroom issues and she did an emergency stop for me and I am so grateful. I highly recommend tours to see Uk as driving on the other side of the road and a million turn about circles is terrifying so let the professionals take that stress from you. Plus they know where the cool stuff is and when to go. Our other tours in other countries the driver and guide were separate, so she gets bonus points for doing it all and to perfection. the roads are so narrow and scary but she did great. this was first time using this company but left willing to take other tours with Rabbies. She didn't say anything about tips which most do .. but bring tip money and reward exceptional service. We went on the trip with another couple and made some lovely memories. Loved going with friends even made it more special but in other trips we ended up making friends for life so either way is great. We did a stop near an ancient Village I think Vikings anyway there were some shops there where my friend bought a purse and I kicked myself for not going in there and getting one too. I thought the purse prices would be better in Edinburgh they were made with the local Fabric and real leather. When we got to Edinburgh the purses were not as well made and they were more expensive and a lot of them weren't even with real leather or made locally. The Edinburgh purse is a lot of them they use the fabric woven there but they made them out of the country probably China or India. Anyway I that is my biggest regret of the trip that I didn't buy an Islander purse. Now I'm going to have to see if I can buy one online and it'll be a lot more money. So if you go to the Isle of sky and you want a bag or a purse you might want to keep that in mind. My friend bought one that was more large than what I would have wanted but it was around a hundred and some dollars great price for the quality. It's well known that the UK is not known for its great weather. Lots of rain and can be very windy around the cliffs and water. I bought vessie shoes which are waterproof and comfortable but kind of expensive. I also took a raincoat with a hood and a hat with a brim and a chin strap because the wind around the cliffs is real. This hat is especially nice because it has a mesh netting that you can unclip in case you're getting in a buggy area which around the ferry pools we needed. If you don't need the netting you can just clip it back up and so it's really handy. The UK and pretty much most of Europe we find that they like twin beds in the hotels and especially the b&bs. I guess people don't like each other lol and want to sleep together. So we would call ahead and ask that they push the beds together before we get there if that was the case. They also don't seem to have air conditioning screens on the windows or sheets on the beds?? Sometimes places will have fans so it's worth asking or calling ahead to see if you can reserve a fan because they definitely don't have enough fans for every room. If you stay in a US-based hotel like a Hilton or Marriott Holiday Inn you don't have to deal with this as much but I guess it's just common in Europe. Traveling through the summer or heat wave months this can be a bit of a problem. The bed seemed all have these duvets which is great if it's cold out but when it's too warm it's a bit uncomfortable. Since we were roasting we had to open the window didn't love that there was no screen and a lot of the windows are made to where you can only open them about an inch so it doesn't provide much air. This was the case through all of the UK not just the Isle of Skye.
