While we were out on the water, one of the jet skis suddenly died and would not drive anymore. We had to tow it back to the dock. After we returned it, we were shocked to be told that we had broken the driveshaft and were being held responsible for the damage. We never crashed the jet ski, hit anything, sucked anything up on the bottom or misused it in any way. It simply stopped running during normal use. To make matters worse, we were charged $1,325 for the alleged damage. I do not believe the situation was handled fairly, and it was incredibly frustrating to be held financially responsible after the jet ski failed while we were using it responsibly. If you're considering renting from EZ Boat Rentals, I strongly recommend DONT!

He arrived a few minutes early and was very familiar with our boat . Dax carefully and patiently Inspected and reviewed all operations of the boat with me both before and after we went out. He is very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and helped every step of the way . I can't say more about Wakes2U. It's also nice to know that if I can't be there but our daughter wants to take friends out , there is an experienced captain to go with them. I very highly recommend.

The add-on items we wanted were taken care of at a fair price, professionally installed and done in a timely manner. Took the boat in for a fairly sizeable list of mostly minor issues. All taken care of free and to our satisfaction (with the exception of the bait wells but that is manufacturer issue! They did a work around and resolved it for us). Now 3 years later we are doing some upgrades to our electronics with a few other tweaks. Friendly folks providing excellent service at a fair price again. What more could you ask for?

Definitely a great place to bring the family for a picnic or a boat launch, but I wouldn't recommend swimming in the algae filled water. Definitely one of the best parks in Granite Shoals and the photos included prove it.

What a rip-off! This week I had two jetskis serviced at the new Full Throttle Seadoo place in…read moreKingsland. All that was done was an oil change and replacing three spark plugs. The bill came to $863.13 or $432 per jetski!! For an oil change which takes 3.5 quarts of oil and a filter! The parts came to about $112, the rest was for labor at $170 an hour plus shop supplies, hazardous waste charge (oil), and credit card fee (3.5%). And by the way, it took this Master mechanic (at $170 he must top-of-the line) 1.5 hours to do this oil change! Incidentally, I looked at an old 2023 bill, when the exact same mechanic changed the oil in the exact same jetskis and it took him 1.2 hours per jetski then. And of course the hourly rate was a lot cheaper back then too (37% cheaper), but it's different ownership now when Full Throttle took over from Highland Lakes Seadoo. I guess they had to increase the time the mechanic worked on these jetskis or raise the labor rate even more to get more money in, but how much more than $170 per hour are you going to charge for a guy doing a basic oil change? Or perhaps the mechanic is slowing down in his old age, who knows? My advice? Perhaps it pays to look for a different place. By the way, all the positive reviews (with the exception of one) are about Highland Lakes Seadoo, which were the previous owners. I liked that place. The new ownership has turned greedy.

I called in last night to inquire about a boat rental, I got prices and information on what we would need to rent the boat, which was a drivers license and a credit card, and you had to be born before September 1993. All requirements my husband meets. We headed out this morning and everything was going great, we decided on the boat we wanted, handed over our license and credit card. Our total was well over 1000 dollars which we were ok with. The two men at the front desk were very nice and helping us through the process when the lady from the office "manager" steps out and says she is not allowed to rent to someone who speaks Spanish. I ask what she means by this and she again says she can't rent to some one who can't comprehend English. Yes my husband doesn't not speak English fluently but can comprehend and read it well enough to rent a boat! She stated it's written policy from the insurance which when I asked her to see this written she hid in her office and handed one of the men a sticky note with the insurance information. of course a 1800 number that is closed during the weekend. I really feel bad for the owner of this business because as a business owner my self I know how bad a bad employee can have an influence on a paying customer. I thought racism was a thing of the past especially in area known or advertised for tourism. (Also I did speak to a few agents at Markel the insurance company and they stated that this was not part of their policy, and much rather had to do with the manager or owner of the store we were renting from)

On Thursday 7/28 we rented a pontoon boat and picked it up several hours late as we weren't feeling well with the corona but knew we'd lose our money if we cancelled so we went ahead and picked it up and then when we returned it only half an hour late they charged us $125! I don't really think that was fair considering we picked it up late.
