We took a tour with Starbright and instantly felt at ease. You could tell they clearly cared so much about the kids, keeping everyone safe, and remaining as normal as you can during an abnormal time. My son attended until he went to kindergarten. My daughter has been there since she was an infant. It's a terrible day when you drop off your baby and go back to work, but it's much less terrible when you know that your child is going to be taken care of by incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and kind teachers. Ms. Pam has been there for over 20 years, and she is wonderful. Our daughter will be heading off to kindergarten in the fall, and it will be so sad to say our goodbyes at the end of August. We have loved each teacher for the way they have helped both of my kids develop into the beautiful, caring people they are today. My kids are different people, with their individual personalities, and both have been able to grow and flourish into incredible versions of themselves. Ms. Melissa is the Pre-K teacher for my daughter, and this class is incredible. My daughter has learned so much since being in this class. The way Ms. Melissa makes learning fun and creative and engages the kids is remarkable. Sidenote: I have attended a few field trips over the years, and I will say every single time we arrive somewhere, the first thing I hear is how much they love Starbright kids because they are so well-behaved and have such great manners. Lastly, Lexie and Jen are incredible, and like family. They know every single child's name, parents' name, and have a story to tell you about something that your kid did that week. I always appreciate communication via email when something changes, and the willingness to talk and find a resolution if there is a concern. They keep things running smoothly, and they truly care about every child that comes through. We will forever be grateful to Starbright. I have tears just writing this.

I was so sad to pull my son out of after only being there for 6 months because I REALLY loved how they loved and cared for my son. But he started to feel unsafe and would cry and fight going. When I asked why, he would tell me the name of one teacher who just made him feel unsafe. I came to learn that anytime my son had to be around Ms. Nevi that he would do what he could to leave the immediate area. I also noticed little things that she would say or do didn't always add up. I cherish the memories we have from Starbright and was really looking forward to my second baby going there- but I couldn't continue to keep my son in a place with a teacher that he would scream in discomfort about.

We are sad that this is my 4 year old daughter's last year but I am such a proud parent that my daughter can read and do math before she enters kindergarten. I can't wait to see my 2 year old develop his education at the white House preschool. He is already comfortable with his alphabets, numbers, colors and shapes and they are already teaching him how to write his name! All the kids love Ms. Linda. The Mandarin and Spanish immersion program is a nice idea. While the staff is a bit short, the kids are mostly exposed to Spanish, and I've noticed my children picking up parts of the language. The teachers are doing their best to create a supportive environment, and my kids have improved their language and social skills since starting. The cozy atmosphere and outdoor playtime twice a day are definite highlights. I also appreciate the flexible pickup and drop-off times, which is helpful for working parents. One area for improvement is the app used for sharing information with parents. I think consistency in accuracy in documenting updates could be better. From the moment we enrolled our son, we could see how much warmth and dedication she brings to her work every day. When our son started at her daycare, he was not fully potty trained, was afraid of going to the dentist, and could not write his name. Over the past seven months, we have seen incredible growth. He now confidently goes potty by himself, is comfortable with dentist visits, brushes and flosses his teeth, and is so proud that he can write his own name. He has even developed a love for soccer and has improved tremendously. We know he could not have reached these milestones without Mrs. Luisa's guidance, encouragement, and support. One thing we especially appreciate is her communication and partnership with parents. She keeps us informed, works collaboratively with families, and genuinely wants every child to succeed. Mrs. Luisa is also incredibly reliable. During difficult weather conditions, she has remained open whenever safely possible because she understands that many parents still need to work, even when school schedules are uncertain. That level of commitment means so much to families. Most importantly, the children are happy. Every morning we see kids excited to be there, and it is common to hear them tell her, "We love you, Mrs. Luisa," and run up to give her a hug. That says more than any review ever could. One word - AMAZING!…read more This is our second year of preschool with POP and I'm going to be so sad when it's over! My daughter started preschool at a private Christian school when she was 3. Needless to say, it was a less than great experience. I had heard from multiple people (even a mom at Papa Murphy's) about Prince of Peace, but had already paid the $500 non-refundable registration fee for the private school. I wish I would have just ate that money and started her at POP to begin with. We ended up switching her to Prince of Peace half way through that year and it made a world of difference. She was, and still is, so excited to go to school and comes home every day with art and schoolwork that she can't wait to show off. The staff is very kind. From the teachers, to the assistants, to the office admin... they are so caring. The preschool itself is always clean, bright and inviting. Mrs. Young is a total blessing. She's great with the kids and has a very direct, no nonsense attitude without being scary. We love her and we love this preschool!

Not an useful service who are trying to make a living, especially for those who are single parents. Snohomish County needs to make more Center-Based Early Head Start Programs, and make center-based programs that are based off of income. It's not right to make center-based Head Start Programs only for children 3-5 years old. I know 3-5 is preschool age, but come on, if your trying to support children of ALL ages physically, mentally, and socially, then make Center-Based Programs for children of all ages 0-5 years and have each classroom for a different age group...one classroom for infants, a few different classrooms for toddlers and a couple for 3-5 years old (preschool-aged children). On the other hand, I have to compare. I've been living in Spokane, WA for 15 months; however, I plan on moving back to the westside so I'm closer to family. I currently have my 15-month-old daughter in a Center-Based Early Head Start program here, and she's been in a Center-Based program since I moved here in May 2021...my daughter was 3 months old when she started, and they're very supportive of her, especially socially since she's around other kids. Overall, whoever is in charge of the Early Head Start Programs in Snohomish County, I'd like to make a complaint due to the unsupportive service and have them make more center-based programs. There's more support in a center-based program than a home-based program, especially in the social development side.

Although we miss our ITS very much, we are very grateful for the advocacy, fun, inspiration and compassion we were fortunate enough to experience. My son even asks if he can go back and visit his old teachers at HPK. We transitioned recently to a "corporate" childcare facility as our eldest child aged out, but have not found the warmth and true care that HPK provided. Even after transition to a new facility HPK has been willing to help when we were in a childcare bind. They are a life-saver. We miss our HPK family so much and would highly recommend them to anyone.
