We are sad that this is my 4 year old daughter's last year but I am such a proud parent that my daughter can read and do math before she enters kindergarten. I can't wait to see my 2 year old develop his education at the white House preschool. He is already comfortable with his alphabets, numbers, colors and shapes and they are already teaching him how to write his name! All the kids love Ms. Linda. We've been with Primrose since my son was 9 months old and he is now almost 14 months old, so we've been in two classrooms so far. We really like his teachers! They had my son doing sign language at 10 months old as it is part of their curriculum. The infant room teachers were so lovable and it is evident that they truly cared about each and every baby. My favorite is how they speak with the babies so lovingly and patiently - exactly how I wanted my little one addressed. Now that he is in the 12-18 month old classroom, he is eating very well, getting a lot of outside time, and they send lots of pictures to show what our son is up to - which is everything from crafts, learning about animals and their sounds, learning about foods, playing musical instruments, reading books, learning to recognize each other's names, reciting the pledge of allegiance every morning, etc. They also work on both fine and gross motor skills. The food variety is also healthy and always sounds delicious. I feel like he gets better food at school than he does at home! I get jealous of what he eats when I get his daily reports! We do encounter hiccups here and there, but mostly minor and not enough to change our feelings about Primrose. It's a really good school and we love it here!

Starbright is like a second home…read more My son started back during COVID when we were very unhappy with his care center and how they were handling things (combining classrooms, being lazy in taking precautions, etc). We took a tour with Starbright and instantly felt at ease. You could tell they clearly cared so much about the kids, keeping everyone safe, and remaining as normal as you can during an abnormal time. My son attended until he went to kindergarten. My daughter has been there since she was an infant. It's a terrible day when you drop off your baby and go back to work, but it's much less terrible when you know that your child is going to be taken care of by incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and kind teachers. Ms. Pam has been there for over 20 years, and she is wonderful. Our daughter will be heading off to kindergarten in the fall, and it will be so sad to say our goodbyes at the end of August. We have loved each teacher for the way they have helped both of my kids develop into the beautiful, caring people they are today. My kids are different people, with their individual personalities, and both have been able to grow and flourish into incredible versions of themselves. Ms. Melissa is the Pre-K teacher for my daughter, and this class is incredible. My daughter has learned so much since being in this class. The way Ms. Melissa makes learning fun and creative and engages the kids is remarkable. Sidenote: I have attended a few field trips over the years, and I will say every single time we arrive somewhere, the first thing I hear is how much they love Starbright kids because they are so well-behaved and have such great manners. Lastly, Lexie and Jen are incredible, and like family. They know every single child's name, parents' name, and have a story to tell you about something that your kid did that week. I always appreciate communication via email when something changes, and the willingness to talk and find a resolution if there is a concern. They keep things running smoothly, and they truly care about every child that comes through. We will forever be grateful to Starbright. I have tears just writing this.

When I asked why, he would tell me the name of one teacher who just made him feel unsafe. I came to learn that anytime my son had to be around Ms. Nevi that he would do what he could to leave the immediate area. I also noticed little things that she would say or do didn't always add up. I cherish the memories we have from Starbright and was really looking forward to my second baby going there- but I couldn't continue to keep my son in a place with a teacher that he would scream in discomfort about.

When we asked what the limitations were for sick children the teachers said that they only turn children away if they have fever, are vomiting or have diarrhea. They flat out told us that we would just have to understand that there were always sick kids in the class and that our child would be getting sick. At one point, one of the more sick children spit up a good amount on the rug where all the kids were playing. The teacher barely wiped it up with a paper towel and spray allowing the other kids to play right where it was. They never wiped the spit up off the child's mouth. He put a rattle in his mouth getting spit up all over it when another child grabbed it and put it in their mouth. There was no real attempt at sanitation to avoid the spread of germs. Also the children were pretty fussy and the teachers did not seem at all confident or comfortable handling it. They seemed very overwhelmed and even frustrated. This was with only 6 children and they take up to 8 in that room. After that visit, there was no way we could imagine
