I'm so glad I tried Palette and Fringe! Heather gave me such a soft and gorgeous haircut and I was able to learn so much about my hair as well. The salon itself is located in a suite full of personal salon-space so there is plenty of parking. You walk into this maze and there are nail and hair salons of all kinds. Palette and Fringe has this awesome farmhouse-chic aesthetic and the room feels so calming. I loved the decor, the light fixtures, and little details like succulents and snacks! Heather's mini fridge is stocked full of yummy bevies "hipster drinks" and I got to try a fancy sparkling water that was super tasty. Heather explained the process and did a fantastic job of managing my expectations with respect to how much she was going to cut. She introduced me to a bunch of cool products that I now want to go buy and we had an interesting conversation. What I really liked about Heather is that she's very educated on hair and enjoyed sharing her expertise. After the wash, cut (she's super precise) and blow dry, she curled my hair and made it look "just like the picture!" I asked for an icy blonde but not white. When I left, my hair was dirty blonde/brassy even though I paid 300 for a full highlight. I asked if she could fix and she wanted me to pay 100 more dollars to fix it and all she was going to do was add a couple more highlights and tone it again. I did not feel this was fair since I already paid so much to not get what I asked for. Another stylist said in order to fix my hair I would need another full highlight. I disputed the charge because now I'm having to get another full highlight done. I texted her and offered her another chance to make this right and she told me to never contact her again. The whole thing was very unprofessional and now I'm out 575 dollars just to get what i normally have done for no more than 200.

I inquired about how long I could go in between touch ups, and she assured me that even if they had faded, she would continue to charge me the touch up fee. When I last had them touched up, approx. 2 years ago, Arri informed me that she would be leaving this salon to open her own salon, but would continue to offer microblading. However when I reached out to her recently, she shared that she no longer offers this service. She informed me that she would happily provide referrals, but I would have to pay full price again (usually around $500.) I am disappointed in her lack of professionalism both in her revoking the service that was guranteed to me, as well as her response that accused me of being ridiculous for expecting her to do anything. Also, she smelled like weed really strongly each time we met, so I'm not sure why I even trusted someone who was high to do my microblading. I hope she's more professional now that she's a business owner.

I explained this was a gift and that I genuinely did not know whether my mom had been there before, and politely asked if she could simply check her system first before denying the service.
