When you have used an important service/person for the last 3 big events in your life you must truly love the person behind the service or in this case the person behind the lens. I have worked with Andre beginning in 2013 when I chose him to be the photographer for my daughters Bat Mitzvah that was in 2014. Then once again my husband surprised me with a 50th birthday party a few years ago and as we were getting ready to leave the house my door bell rang and there was Andre surprising me. My husband hired him to do all the photography for a big 50th celebration. Then this past November 2019 my son was having his Bar Mitzvah and of course who did I call..... Andre. Andre is like family now. He absolutely is one of the nicest people I've ever met , one of the most decent human beings, a wonderful family man and a fantastic photographer and someone you just genuinely like to be around. His skills as a photographer are absolutely fabulous and in particular for this past event for my son the pictures are just so remarkable I keep looking at them all the time. When I was looking for a spot to host my sons party I even called him as a friend and as a photographer for advice since he had worked in a lot of spaces and he know's my family pretty well now and he gave me some fabulous recommendations of places to look at. Andre did our New Years Eve wedding this past year and did a fantastic job. First, Andre is an excellent photographer with photo journalist style, so we have the traditional shots but there are also lots of awesome candid's, with nothing overly staged, and no cheese. Our pictures are absolutely beautiful and clever. Thus, he's excellent in the most important area. Andre is also very friendly and very easy to work with, which is terrific and makes for a good experience with him. He also turned the pictures around quickly for us, which we appreciate as well. I'd also add that as with all weddings, our party and timing presented some quirks. In this case Andre had to cope with the winter weather and an overzealous amateur photographer, and he did both with grace and excellence. Working with Andre Maier Photography was one of the best decisions we made when planning our daughter's Bat Mitzvah. Andre started by photographing the Bat Mitzvah pre-shoot at Grand Central Terminal and each photograph was a work of art. It was challenging to pick our favorites from the hundreds of photos taken. Andre's easy-going demeanor helped our daughter feel confident and relaxed which enabled him to capture beautiful pictures of her with a fun backdrop. Andre was our wedding photographer for our NYC wedding at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers this summer. We selected him because of his vast experience of shooting weddings at The Lighthouse and because he has such an artistic perspective. To Andre, every wedding provides a different canvas, and that was an outlook that really spoke to us. All of our photos feel like works of art (even the ones at the bowling alley for the after-party), and it is mildly impossible to select which ones will be in our wedding album. Honestly the whole experience was amazing. Greg (one of Andre's guys) was professional and hysterical to be around. He really helped me to feel calmer (just by being silly) which definitely reflected in our pictures. Not only was his photography amazing but we keep getting complimented on how "your photographer knew all the words to all of the songs" which was kind of awesome to say the least. He was really great about working with us, accommodating my ridiculous golf cart request, and trying to find us the best places (even having to almost dig out a golf cart stuck in the mud). When we met with him before our wedding he impressed us with his laid back, relaxed attitude, his focus on candid shots and of course the quality of his pictures blew us away!
