She spoke her language with some other technician (no idea if that was the manager) and put a bandaid on it. The manager didn't come to me, nor did anything, no one seemed to care she had accidentally done this. Just a 'oh so sorry' and continued along after putting a band aid on. Afterwards I got a shellac manicure, but the manicure is soooo bumpy, so many bubbles and not evenly done (like it wasn't painted evenly) It kind of sucks because I've heard so many good things about this place, but I also heard that lately they've been over booking and their quality isn't near what they used to be. Clearly after my experience I agree. When I went to pay they charged me full price everything, no discount or anything after they injured me (getting cut on the ball of your foot is annoying to have to walk on afterwards since I couldn't put any pressure if i didn't want it stinging) The only reason i didn't make a fuss was because i was there for all ready 2 hours and was running late for a dance practice (which now i had to sit out from....) The packets are dollar store packets, a dozen for a dollar I can assure you (not a known brand) and a $15 premium is in order for this treatment. I paid $155.60 for a basic service that should have cost no more than $120. They ere misleading and I guess don't realise people don't like being duped. I won't be back as a result. The service was mediocre and nothing special. It seems a shame to have to ask what everything costs for fear of them charging you for something you were not aware of. This is underhanded.

Thank god I took the chance! Now, I've been coming to Rupal for probably over 5 years! She has really transformed my eyebrows. Now, I can go a month without threading and there's barely any growth. They don't get bushy or anything. They just stay as the shape they're supposed to be! It takes time, but you will notice the difference. In the beginning, you will have to keep getting your eyebrows done every few weeks, but eventually, you will be able to go longer and longer without touching them. My experience was terrifying... I got a Brazilian wax (not for the first time, but this was my first experience at Rupal's) and Trusha waxed the same areas OVER and OVER again. After my appointment; there was still hair left, I was left with a burn/scab, and I was sore for days afterward. Towards the end of my appointment, Rupal appeared in the room and despite her soothing tone, I didn't feel comforted at all. She recommended other (more expensive) treatments and explained that my "type of hair" (I'm a black woman with coarse, curly hair) prevented Trusha from removing all of it. SOME NERVE!
