If I could do less than 1 star I would. First they double billed my credit card. That took forever to get to someone and then 4 weeks to finally be refunded to card yesterday. This AM I went to read paper and it said I needed to re-susbcribe and pay again - no access to e-edition. Sent email to custservice@lee.net stating refund processed and access now denied even though paid once on card before duplicate charge they made. Received an email back that the second charge to my card is in process and ignored that I was paid with original charge and therefore CANCEL the account and refund $52. Said to be patient while refund on 2nd billing was in process! I don't think they can read or think at the newspaper. Called rep and told she would send my request to Cancellation department for review! What are they reviewing - their mistake? Done with them forever. I just want my $52 paid back on original subscription. read more

SCAM. They have an introduvtory price and than make it very hard to cancel the subscription with no option to cancel it online and outdated phone numbers on their website. They truly do not care about you. I called and after almost an hour of hoolding the very aloof service agent straight up hung up on me. Very unprofessional - they will steal your money with a smile. read more

DO NOT subscribe to the Times News using the $1 for 6 months EZ Pay offer. I did, canceled on time, was THEN charged $7.99. Finally found a number to talk to a real person (overseas?) and was told I would recieve a refund. Great! A couple weeks later my refund check for $2.99 comes in the mail. $2.99? Call back again and was told that it was in the Terms and Conditions that you get all but $5 back. Sure enough, although it's NOT on the T&C visible when you enter credit card info, you must click on another button, scroll down, put your reading glasses on, and there it is! So, I guess I overlooked it but it is certainly deceptive. I guess companies are now burying charges in the T&C nobody ever reads. Just don't do it. read more

This paper has changed hands, become part of an out of state company and has abysmal customer service. We got a form letter the other day dated 3/25/19 stating our subscription rate would almost double effective on 4/6/19. The form letter wasn't postmarked until the 3rd of April. You cannon cancel your subscription online as they claim and it took four calls and an endless amount of waiting to reach someone to cancel the subscription. If you make the mistake of subscribing to this rag, DO NOT enroll in ez-pay, you cannot cancel it on your own. We subscribed for 25 years. This last fiasco was the last straw. A once decent paper and company is no more. Lee Newspapers - remember that name and do not patronize them. Just read the other reviews. read more

We ordered a paper online waited 2 weeks did not receive anything. So I called and they said that the money was just sitting there and they didn't know where to put it. So he got everything taken care of and said he would have the newspaper shipped out the next day. Well 3 weeks goes by and still we have yet to receive a paper. So I called to ask for a refund seeing how I wasn't going to see my paper. It took two weeks to get the refund and when we got the refund it was in a check form and it was missing $0.50. I have tried to call numerous times to get an answer on why we didn't get our full refund back with no answers. I still yet to receive a paper and yet to talk to a person. I even called the person that cuts the check. I do not advise anybody to order a Times-News subscription online. If you want a paper go into the store and buy one. read more

I've been a subscriber to the E-Edition for years and truthfully I felt like the price was fair and often wondered why they never raised their rates. Well, now, here comes a 67% price increase!!! Plus, now ads are showing up at the top and bottom of the screen. For most digital subscriptions, you pay more to not have ads. I subscribe to USA Today for cheaper than the Times News e-edition!! I've sent emails to various people and called, but no response. This is not the way to draw new subscribers, or keep the old subscribers. read more

Our family has been subscribing to Times-News for over 45 years. We get rural delivery 7 days a week. The price continues to soar, the paper continues to disappoint, news is cold but the main problem is the delivery system, which seems to be in the hands of the least capable people working for the paper. In the past month we have not received a paper 4 out of 5 Fridays, 3 out of 5 Saturdays, Two Thursdays and two Sundays. On the days the paper does grace our paper box, it is not until 11PM or after. You can call to complain but your message goes to Jeremy's voice mail and is not returned or acted upon and if you call some number in Montana and they promise to fix the problem, but I am sure they dump the complaint in the toilet. Cant seem to get my paper subscription canceled I have too many papers on the ground and not in the box not worth it to me any more

I work for a business that receives multiple papers daily from Times News. Due to our needs changing I called to lower the amount I am receiving and the customer service rep was wonderful!!! She located my account easily and got the changes made in a timely manner! She also gave me instructions on how to increase the number of papers when the time comes to do so! We have subscribed to the Times News for 40 + years. Every year the customer service gets worse. When the newspaper doesn't get delivered, it is a waste of time to call about delivery. If you get a real person they will say the problem will be taken care of but it never is. Just try and get a credit on your account for all the newspapers you didn't get. I wish they could get their crap together and do the job they are being paid to do. Won't hold my breath waiting for that to happen! read more

Worst customer service in the valley. I challenge you to get through to any customer service representative and if after you do, get any assistance. It isn't a wonder why this paper is so small it is see thru when their only concern is setting up a new account or paying your bill. Everything else is self-service. DO NOT put your bill on ez pay! My husband subscribed to the Times-News and put the bill on auto renewal from a credit card. After 6 years of degrading service and old "news" combined with prices that increased to the point of ridiculous, he decided to cancel. I called to cancel and was told that I could not for one week because it was on an automatic renewal. WHAT?? So, I called the credit card company. They said they COULDN'T cancel because it was on auto-renewal. WHAT??? Who controls my #%@$ credit card? Really made me angry that I was going to have a newpaper delivered against my wishes for 7 more days. I called back and argued with their rep. I asked to speak with his supervisor and was told that I couldn't speak to a supervisor. I asked for the address. He told me that he couldn't give me the address because nobody was allowed to come to the place of business. It was ridiculous and borderline amusing. I swear this is a true review, even though it sounds so outrageous. I eventually told the rep to put the newspaper on a vacation hold. I canceled the credit card during the vacation hold so they couldn't auto renew the charges. I now need to contact them to have them send me a check for undelivered newspapers... That'll be another hour of my life that I can't get back. I can assure you, I am probably not getting any money back. This will make them thieves... read more
