My son had his birthday party here and it was a success!! By far the best kids party I have hosted. For a group of six year old boys, they were occupied the entire time! Not like chuck e cheese where you have a ton of random kids running around and just a bunch of arcade games. I loved how they had such a variety of things to do and just enough time to do them. They started with bowling while they ate, then proceeded to laser tag, then to the party room for cake and gifts the finished up with arcade games. It was a success! Times Square Entertainment is an exceptional place to have a party for a large crowd! I work with KATY Aquatics, and we recently had a team party at Times Square Entertainment where they were able to accommodate over 150 swimmers on our team! The entire management staff was very professional and took care of everything - including decorations! The party hostesses were exceptionally friendly, and made sure the food and drinks were fresh and plentiful throughout our 3 hour party! The atmosphere was very family oriented, and our swim team had a great time bowling and playing in the arcade! I have just got to give these guys 5 stars. They have gone above and beyond accommodating my unusual requests. Back in December I started looking around for facilities that were able to host a fairly large group of people (25+) that would be meeting up weekly to play Super Smash Bros. I am certain that this is not really something they're used to handling, but they have more than met my needs. I contacted several other near-by establishments that also have party rooms but Times Square is the only place that followed up with me on my inquiries about booking one of their rooms for an activity such as this. The staff has worked with me on everything from negotiating a discount since I am not paying for a traditional party package, to extra tables in the room, and they've even provided power strips and extension cords to plug all of our TVs into each and every week at no extra cost. They have allowed us access to their dollies to make loading and unloading our huge CRTs a cinch (thank god, because these things are freaking heavy!), and they even unlocked their side exit just so we could enter the building easier with our equipment. During our event they regularly send employees in to check on us to make sure we don't need anything. These employees walk around and take drink orders for the adults or even orders for food and soft drinks for everyone. This is always welcome since they are polite and it saves us the trouble of having to walk out of the room, but it is not even necessary, due to the bar and grill being conveniently located just outside the party room. If you are planning a party for youngsters, the room is separated so you wouldn't have to deal with any of the bar patrons if you didn't want to. The food is delicious. The nachos are my absolute favorite... I am ashamed to admit that I usually eat one of these mountainous portions by myself almost every week, to be honest. Their menu is actually pretty large and varied for a "bowling alley". Really, the place is much more than that, with billiards tables, a sizeable arcade with up to date games, and laser tag if you're interested in their other entertainment offerings. Another thing that I love about the facility is that if my event expands to the point where we are consistently attracting too large a turn out for our one room, the walls can be taken down and the multiple rooms can be combined into a larger one (great for our group for tournaments, but also looks to be great for business meetings since the rooms are equipped with a projector). The Events Coordinator is incredibly helpful and reasonably flexible. She always answers my questions in a timely manner and is completely on top of ensuring that we have everything we need. The Smash Community is blossoming in West Houston, thanks in no small part to Times Square, and as we plan more events, they will remain my personal go-to venue. read more

Some of the food specials are pretty good. The lane are kind of on par, the best part is $1.50 games on Mondays. The employees are generally clueless though, sometimes you have to repeat lane issues because they're not paying attention. If you are on lanes 1-2, the mechanic has a tendency to walk on your approach. If you bowl here, lanes 5-9 are generally the best. The closer to 30 you get the more irresponsible the teenagers are . Also, league lanes start at one and usually end between 15-25. read more

My 8 year old boy and a few friends had a blast here! The general manager, Barry Chapman, was wonderfully accommodating to our unique needs. If you are trying to decide between this place and Main Event that is really close by, I would go with Time Square hands down. The employees at ME seem to hate their job. At Time Square everyone was friendly and helpful. You can tell the moment you walk in that it is well managed. The facility is clean and there are good sight lines, so you can easily keep track of your kids. We will be back for sure! read more

My 11 year daughter had her birthday party at Times Square today. Our first contact was with Karen Herms via email. We had special circumstances with our family and she went out of her way to make sure everything was exactly as we wanted. When we got there today, our hostess, Griselda, met us at the door and stayed right with us the while time. She showed us ahead of time where the party room was and took us to the private bowling party room. Balloons were already on the tables. It was very festive. The kids had a great time bowling and in the laser tag room. When we got to the party room, the adults in the group talked about how nice the room was. We were also impressed with how clean everything was. We had a wonderful experience and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Times Square to anyone. read more

They were wonderful from the time we walked in until the time we left! They had set us up in the private bowling area and that just made my 9yo's head explode because in his eyes we had gotten him a private party! That rocked! The food was good and the time spent on each activity was great. We planned the party early enough to have lunch and do everything before it got extremely busy! The kids had a ball! Such a horrible experience with the employees. Ordered chips with queso and received stale old chips with cold cheese that had a hard film covering it.. Though the worst part was be told nasty that they would fix it right away. After bowling a game no chips....when I went to inquire wrong move on my part. The snotty little concessions worker told be they had to through everything out and make new ones. That would be fine if you had the brains to tell me and not keep it a secret. The clincher was the equally rude manager reluctantly refunding my money. First class customer service all the way. read more

I'm extremely surprised on how many complaints this place has. This place is a blast!! I go here very often with my girlfriend and the staff is very attentive. Once I had some difficulties getting my ball back, the staff added more time to compensate our game, and the manager, John, also gave me free bowl coupons for the trouble I had. They fixed the problem with our lane instantly so that we can enjoy our game. They have been open for quite a while now, so yes, problems will happen, (especially when some people throw the balls at the pin gates). But the important thing is that they are always quick to fix it. Service is about making sure you are helped and catering to your needs, Timesquare Katy definitely accomplishes that. Whether or not you and your children have fun, is up to your interest in the game, bowling is the same everywhere. If you like bowling and you are wondering from the comments if you should try timesquare out or not, don't think twice. Remember, good reviews on yelp are harder to get than bad ones. My oldest daughter had a wonderful 7th birthday that she will always remember, and as a parent, Times Square made it super easy on me. All I had to focus on was getting people there and getting a cake! Easy peasy for a crazy-busy working mom like me. We all had a great time, we were taken care of like family by our hostess (she anticipated our every need and met them before we had to say something - thanks Gabby!) and felt like Times Square really cared about our business. I've been to many birthday parties at similar bowling alleys, including the newest and supposed "best", but they've got nothing on Times Square. It's a great value for the price. been back here a couple of times, and the service continues to be shitty. a different bartender girl tried to take my credit card before giving me the check (i know this is normal at some places with just drinks, but i ordered food as well) and there was an air of annoyance every time i ask for the sound to be changed to a specific channel (to listen to the game). note that the place was empty when i asked, and when 30 minutes later nothing happened, i asked again and the girl just said 'oh, i dont know how to do that.' then ask someone, bitch!!!!!! i'm so annoyed by this place. also, i wreak of smoke when i leave this place. read more

The only reason they get one star is because the concept is o.k. But it is basically just a typical bowling alley with updated food, bar, and laser tag. The party accomodations are very tight. Don't expect all your party guests to have a spot at the party, not much room at each lane, the regular bowling alley has more space. And they cram all the parties together with empty lanes all around. So, if you wind up sitting at the pizza bar away from the party waiting on your child, don't expect it to be clean! Lots of teenager staff but piss poor management. Ask a kid to clean (the spray bottle & towel are sitting right on the serving counter, disgusting) and the "manager" interrupts but cannot focus because his walkee talkee headset distracts him. Instead of being a manager and letting the kid clean up. He sends him off and just wipes the mess around with a napkin, still gross crap on the counter, then rushes off like a chicken without a head. There are amaturish signs all over, and lots of broken down stuff (the place is relatively new and busy). What a shame it has so much potential wasted by poor management and no follow thru. Lack of attention to details. It will stay busy despite, because there is really not many other offerings in the area. I just wouldn't waste my money here on my kids party. read more

I am very glad that I booked my son's 12th birthday party with Time Square. Due to construction on I10 what usually is a 15 minute drive took over an hour. (Our guest drove from out of town and did not know any other way to get to the party) The staff at Time Square responded empathetic and understanding. They even made an adjustment to start his party 30 minutes later than what it was initially booked for. The party host did a great job of staying on top of everything and the kids had a blast. The only thing that went wrong during the party was that the laser tag power shut down during their game. Thankfully, the staff apologized and allowed them to play a second time without charge. At the end of the party the manager came and greeted us, thanked us for booking the party with them, explained the bill and gave us the option to review any fees or gratuity included in the bill. I have arranged and had many birthday parties at facilities in the community for my children in the past , and attended more than I can count thru friends , schools , and the neighborhood . The party we just had for our 4 year old at Times Square had to be one of the best we have ever attended . The staff here far exceeded our expectations . We had just been to a new competitor nearby for a friends birthday the week prior , and that place was even close to what we experienced with the staff at Times Square . Our hostess was beyond fantastic !! I have already raved about this to several people we know , and heard so much positive feedback from those who attended . GREAT customer service (what they excel with here) can never be replaced by marketing , price , nor facilities . Although , Times Square nonetheless have great facilities and competitive pricing .
