This morning I realized my gas tank was in need of a fill up. I was in and out of this gas station in no time! The pumps here are extremely fast, impressively so actually. I like that there is a lot of room between pumps so you aren't too close to anyone else pumping gas. It helps to spread out the fumes, loud car music, and generally is safer as people enter and leave. I don't know why I don't stop here more often. I guess I will now.

So, this store is a tiny little thing with your average convenience store amenities, a little cleaner than most gas station stores. I usually buy lotto tickets here when the jackpot grows to be too tempting not to buy a ticket. They make the process easy, especially for this girl who only buys a few tickets a year. They also have a special on their fountain drinks -- once you have a Styrofoam cup from them that you have purchased at regular price, you can refill it as many times as you want on different visits for $.99. The cups are actually bigger than the size you get at McDonald's next door for $1.00, plus you are kind of saving the environment through recycling. So, if you are a soda addict like me, this is not a bad deal. So, those are the two main things I do here besides get gas. Yes, this makes my life sound pretty boring, but I swear it's not.

It's a very popular spot and can get congested. The vegetables and fruits are one of my favorite areas with many types of peppers, cactus, plantains, several herbs are available as well as the standard fresh fruit and veggies. The remaining isles are what you'd expect to find from meat, dairy, frozen, cleaning supplies, etc. and they do carry a decent amount of alcohol and mixes for a smaller supermarket. They carry a much smaller selection than an HEB or Kroger but terrific to run in for weekly groceries or just grab a few items. There are lots of registers and the friendly cashiers work really hard to keep the lines moving quickly. I normally get in and out quickly. The store is always clean and the isleways are clear. The prices are reasonable and they have good sales. Conveniently located, baskets always available outside the door with ample parking space. My wish is I'd love to see them carry a smaller container of Sugar Free coffee mate, currently a 1/2 gallon. The regular sizes and flavor are great except sugar free. A little thing but would make me happy and save me a trip to Kroger.

I had previously encouraged my daughter to apply for a job there, but after witnessing how Amy treats employees, I no longer feel comfortable with that decision. No one should have to work in such a negative environment. If she is unhappy with her job, perhaps she shouldn't be in that position. Her attitude has made me reconsider coming back, and I'm sure other customers feel the same way. I strongly suggest that management take action--whether that means addressing her behavior or moving her to a different location--before it starts driving customers away.

I ended up getting eight, yes eight, different flavors of sour belt candy from a brand I hadn't seen anywhere else and they were PHENOMENAL. They also have a small little restaurant in there and a good selection of hot foods and trinkets for sale. Their drink selection is also massive, from fountain drinks and ICEEs, to the what seemed like endless amount of refrigerated drinks. I know where I'm going for diabetes anytime I'm in town.

She asked me what do I need? I told her a full tank of gas, which she replied you can do that here, do you want $10-$20? I told her that I would prefer a full tank as I am going out of town in the morning. She shrugged and said she can only give me the amount I pay.
