This review is so long overdue and I apologize it's going to be long, as I feel providing some…read morecontext-oversharing?-could be beneficial... But I'll start by saying that I could not recommend Dr. Ryan Rhodes more, he and his staff offer nothing but the best, top quality care. I've had a love/hate relationship with dental hygiene all my life and this past November, 2025, the weekend before Thanksgiving, I experienced quite literally the most intense pain I've ever felt-no broken bone or surgery can compare to the debilitatingly excruciating piercing and shooting pain that I felt in my head and face-a result of my not properly caring for an old root canal. I am so lucky I found Dr.Rhodes during this emergency, he was able to schedule an appointment for me practically immediately (if I recall, only 12 or so hours after calling and again this was days before a very celebrated American holiday) and was able to diagnose even more issues that I didn't even realize existed. During that first, emergency appointment, Dr. Rhodes addressed my pain, confirming a majority of it was in fact a result of my old root canal basically rotting, and immediately, I felt better, it was instantaneously relieved, like magic. Although sore from the treatment, words cannot convey how thankful I was to not have the pulsing, pounding pain in my entire head. We then came up with a treatment plan to address the remaining issues in my mouth, while my newly uprooted root canal/tooth hole began its healing process. Unfortunately that night, due to various complications, I found myself unable to eat or keep down food and so I was unable to take any prescribed medication. I began profusely and endlessly vomiting and when blood began to appear, I called an ambulance and went to the ER. I was admitted overnight and left Dr.Rhodes a message out of concern for my healing tooth. The next day, Dr.Rhodes called me back promptly, again extending the utmost care, and I'm not sure if it's simply professional and routine to follow up with patients, but I appreciate so much the fact that Dr.Rhodes always has or makes the time to care, and even only having had one appointment with me, and that chaotic instance was no exception; he is truly so caring! While at the ER it was diagnosed that I needed to have my gal bladder removed, something that possibly could have gone unnoticed or wouldn't have been addressed as soon as it was if this dental emergency hadn't occurred, so in a weirdly tangential and obscure way, I definitely am thankful everything transpired as it did and that Dr.Rhodes saw me through it all. I've rambled enough now so I'll wrap this up: I still see Dr.Rhodes to this day and we still are resolving all the issues in my mouth, as there have been so many I've avoided for so long. I am so grateful to not experience pain on a regular basis, simply because I ate something cold and to not have had any other dental emergencies since being in Dr.Rhodes care. Not only is he exceedingly attentive, caring and professional, but his staff is equally wonderful. Moreover, his office is perfectly calm, clean and easy to navigate and especially considering the fact that going to the dentist isn't everyone's favorite activity, the welcoming and comfortable environment is certainly a bonus. And it's worth mentioning that in addition to top tier dental care, Dr.Rhodes is also very understanding of his patients financial situations and offers various payment plans! If you're looking for a dentist who provides top quality care, Dr.Rhodes is the best option!

Great dentist and person. He is very professional and the staff in his new office are wonderful…read more Everyone in this office is professional yet accessible. They are all kind and compassionate--which is a rarity in medical practices today. Dr. Rhodes is an excellent dentist and I'm so happy he decided to open up his own practice and remain in this area. Quality of care is top notch. And, don't know why Yelp is saying my location is Bar Harbor--it's not. I live within 20 min. of his office.
