I take care of a client that sees the doctor on an annual basis and the service is consistently the same - not good- no improvement whatsoever. Located all the way to the back of this medical office plaza the office is updated and clean. The wait time is no less than an hour. Today was 1:20 minutes. Time with the doctor 2 and a half minutes and that was him saying hello everything the same, go through medication and okay see you next year. Today's issue was they took so long we had a virtual appointment that started as soon as we were being released. I informed the assistant that we had a video call that would take 2 minutes and I need the room. Initially she tried to tell me no they have more patients (mind you it's 4:00 no patients after 3 we were the last ones) After I explained to her we been there for an hour and a half I can use the room for 2 minutes she slammed the door! Like the audacity! AA we walked out she has a smirk on her face and I told her she didn't have to slam the door. Mind you my client is special needs and it startled him. We will not continue with this office as it's like a pill mill. They don't care about the patients they just care about the amount of bodies passing through so they can bill the insurance.

I was referred to Dr. Alexan for a recurring headache and dizziness. As a non-STAT patient, I had…read moreto wait almost 3 months from scheduling to the exam. The front desk was friendly and checked me in right away. The medical assistant came and got me before I even finished all my paperwork. Everything seemed clean and orderly. When I got into the exam room, the assistant talked to me about my symptoms and took down my general information. She was friendly and considerate. There were some problems finding my MRI information, but she was patient in figuring out the issue and successfully found them instead of just giving up. Then, the NP came in after her. She asked a few more questions and did a LOT of physical tests to check my strength and reflexes. She seemed to be in a grumpy mood, asking me "Why are you here?" as a way of inquiring about my symptoms. Also seemed a bit impatient with me during some of the tests (particularly the ones that required a light shining in my eyes) and what she felt were inadequate descriptions of my dizziness. After all the tests, Dr. Alexan came in shortly thereafter. I really wasn't waiting very long at any stage of the appointment. He talked with me some more about my symptoms, reviewed all the documentation, and spent time looking at my MRI results. He concluded I have a rare type of primary headache and spent time telling me about the headaches and what I can do to treat them. He wasn't rushed, nor was I made to feel rushed. He made sure I understood everything and gave me opportunities to ask questions. Overall, very competent and knowledgeable. After the exam is over, there is another desk to the right of the "check-in" desk to "check-out." I didn't notice it when I came in for some reason. The "check-out" desk will make the next appointment for you if necessary. They also printed out a summary of the exam for me. Overall, it's a good office and doctor, and I would recommend Dr. Alexan if you are in need of a neurologist.

After checking in, I was given paperwork that took approximately 20 minutes to complete. I'm not sure why this paperwork couldn't have been sent ahead of time to be completed before the appointment, which would have saved time. My appointment was scheduled for 9:45 AM, but I wasn't taken back to a room until around 10:30 AM. Once I was placed in the room, I continued waiting. At approximately 11:10 AM, I finally had to ask someone how much longer I would be waiting. At that point, I had already been there for well over an hour and a half. I understand that medical offices can experience delays and unexpected circumstances, but the lack of communication and the amount of time spent waiting was disappointing. If there are significant delays, patients should be informed rather than left sitting and wondering what is going on.

He is extremely knowledgeable about all facets of neuroscience, excellent at his surgical craft, and great at communication, both before and after surgery. His work completely restored the usage of my right arm after having a neck injury on the job. I thought I would be left with no strength or mobility from my shoulder down before surgery, but afterward I have nearly the same usage as pre-injury, other than slight weakness and numb fingertips. Recently he did a lumbar laminectomy after blowing out a disc and I am nearly back at full operation again. So nice to have a specialist of his caliber working on me. During my follow-ups, I've had the pleasure of seeing PA-C Mukesh Patel. At first I thought I only wanted to see Dr. Liker, but after meeting Mukesh I easily became comfortable with his own wide range of expertise and excellent communication skills. These guys truly have the best interest of the patient at the forefront of thier practice and there are no better providers out there. Signed, a grateful patient.

I've had long wait times for referrals to other specialists because they don't bother to make sure fax's go through. Took me 3 months to get the go ahead for cervical fusion only to be told it would be another 4 months ( or more) before they can get me in for surgery. No one in their entire office - from office staff to scheduler had any empathy whatsoever. I now to start all over by finding another surgeon just so I don't have to remain in pain all day after 4 months of dealing with them. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone solely due to his staff.
