What you need is a good old cobblers. And so, finding myself infront of Keys N Heels, I ventured inward. With starting prices of £4.75 for flats depending on the scale of the repair, it's darn cheap! And between £4.95 and £6.95 for stilettos depending on the type of heel, rubber or metal repairs available. (Great for salvaging those post-night out accidents!) Much better for your bank balance than a whole new pair of shoes and the guy at the counter was exceptionally helpful. All done while you wait.

Family owned and run, a tiny shop nestled between two slihtly bigger shops, easily missed if your not careful. They dont just repair shoes, they will do belts purses, anything leather that need a repair they will look at and tell you if it is possible. They cut keys and engrave, dog tags, trophys, anything you take they will look at. The guys are great and really do try to help you with anything, and there is a distinct smell inside of leater and glue that is somehow reassuring.

The Village Cobbler is what you need when your black Zara peep toes are too bad for words, and you've already tried cellotaping them back together ... and you've got to get the train back to uni tomorrow. Oh, and could you just do them now? Thankyou thankyou thankyou. Obviously under normal circumstances there is a queue- a couple of days is usual. They cut keys here as well and sell all sorts of useful things like luggage etc. The only thing to defeat them was a small satchel bag that I completely murdered: my sister thought that she could salvage it (and thus take ownership of the poor thing). Alas, they needed the spring which I had carelessly dropped somewhere. Lesson learned. They are not miracle workers but they can fix and engrave most things.

They offer a wide range of excellent and professional services at affordable prices plus an efficient service to top that. It is not often one needs these services regularly but when you do, Timpson is a quality place you can rely on because they have been used to delivering the best in the business since they were established in 1903. I have been to this particular branch in Maghull a couple of times before and experienced no problems whatsoever. I had a new pair of hard rubber soles attached and they have lasted me for years, which has increased the lifespan of my favourite shoes! The service is second to none.

They have resoled, re-heeled and repaired many of my shoes and boots from the past and have always done an excellent job. The staff here are very friendly and helpful, They have real tradesmen working here who produce excellent work and take pride in what they do. The shoe repairs I have had done here have always been done quickly and have been inexpensive, especially considering the quality and time frame. They also have a large range of luggage, bags, purses, travel items, shoe related items and much more. This is a very useful shop and you can rely on them.

Weird, because I have never once in my existence considered getting some shoes repaired, but then I've never really owned anything apart from trainers and you surely can't repair those can you? Fair play to Mark Rogers, it's a good old local business competing with the more chain-style equivalent Timpson down the road, and local businesses are always worth supporting.

I have been here once before to get a pair of keys cut (for just £1.50) and I have to say, the service was generally quick and on time. There was no fuss or hassle and I experienced no problems. There's no reason why it can't be top class. After one visit, it is only fair I judge them on that experience alone. For a simple fix such as a key or shoe repair, you can't really go wrong. As well as shoes and keys, they also engrave trophies and service watches (batteries, straps etc.) so all in all, this is quite a useful shop to keep track of. Anything related to bags and jewellery for instance is also serviced for. This is a small shop (that looks nothing much from the outside) but is certainly well equipped with the right tools and accessories to rescue that old watch or worn down shoe.

Top class shoes repairs!!!! don't think so....lower class service..the Man who I assume owns this…read moreshop is the most arrogant Man I have ever come across..I have used this shop 3 times, the first time I used it he was rude and arrogant but I let it go ! the second time I went to get shoes heeled he insisted on me paying up front, I explained I was going shopping and only had my debit card (which I was planning to get cash back on to pay for my shoes repair), he was so untrusting even though I assured him I would be back, I appreciate some people don't come back for their shoes etc but come on most people wouldn't bother putting their shoes in for a repair if they were not going to bother to collect them, I swore after that I wouldn't use the shop again but Today found myself in a situation were I needed my work shoes heeling and his shop is the only one local so went back armed with the cash to pay upfront...big mistake..paid him for the shoes then he told me it would be 45 minutes even though there wasn't a sole in the shop and he had the newspaper open on the counter..anyway did some shopping went back 20 mins later and saw my shoes on top of the machine and they had been done..he was eating a sandwich and I said ' are my shoes ready yes' and he was so rude he said 'ye they are ready but it hasn't been 45 mins has it ?' OMG so what !!! I snapped back at him 'it doesn't matter does it ,they are ready aren't they' he then almost bit my head off and said' eh I was only saying' and then was huffing and puffing...Never again will I ever go back in his shop...My Dad has used him before and had to walk out because he was so rude to him ...its hard to explain how bad he is until you have experienced it for yourself..but my advice is don't bother going there full stop, go over the road to the shoe repairer inside Fone Bitz much nicer Man.
