I really wanted to like this place. Small-town pizza places often have a certain charm, but unfortunately, my experience here left me disappointed and honestly a little uncomfortable. The food itself was less than mediocre. The pizza lacked flavor and the crust was tough, like it had been sitting too long. It's hard to enjoy a meal when it doesn't even feel like it was made with care. I do want to give some grace to the younger guys working behind the counter--they seemed new, maybe still learning the ropes, and I don't want to fault them for that. Everyone has to start somewhere. But what really soured the whole experience was the man who brought out our pizzas. He was an Italian guy with a big black beard, and he was incredibly rude from the moment he walked up. He stared us down like we were inconveniencing him just by being there. When he brought out our food, he said, "Alright, where do you want these pizzas? Anywhere? I'll tell you what, I'll put them on this table," and just plopped them down without giving us a second to answer. It felt dismissive and almost hostile, and it left everyone at our table feeling uncomfortable. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but the combination of mediocre food and that kind of attitude just left a bad taste in my mouth--literally and figuratively. I hope this place can improve because Olivet could really use a great pizza spot, but I won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

Ordered a pizza and waited over 2 hours and still didn't have it. Showed up in person and waited as well. Ended up leaving and going home.

We love Tim's Pizza! Our sons both attended Olivet College so we have ordered often. Now one of our sons and his wife teach at OC and live in Olivet. We love the crust (chewy but not too chewy) and the sauce on their pizzas and the many topping options. We all like something different so the 12 inch is perfect for a meal and leftovers for lunch the next day. They also have great hand scooped ice cream in about a dozen popular flavors. UPDATED/ADDITIONAL REVIEW: Was back in my tiny hometown for a visit and decided to try Tim's "signature" item (pizza) for the first time. Ordered a custom three topping (H,M,O) on regular crust. Crust was a thicker 'hand-tossed' style, with a thick doughy edge, which I like. My wife prefers crunchy THIN crust, but even commented she liked the texture, it tasted "fresh made" and was quite flavorful. Toppings and cheese were good and we had a choice between fresh or canned mushrooms. Overall, it was a very good pizza and we'd without question order again when we are in town. read more

I just love Tim's Pizza on Main St. Olivet, MI. The staff are very nice, friendly, and want to make sure everything is as you ordered and is looking good. This business is the epitome of home town, small business trying to make it in a Peri-Covid environment. I see so many of the college age youngsters floundering a bit. The "young-in's" as I call them (with the utmost respect intended), employed at Tim's Pizza, They do a really good job. Their food is Fantastic. That's why I went there at least once a week. They take pride in their work. Lately, I have seen a Closed sign and a For Sale sign in the window. This makes me so sad. I will miss their 12" Hot ham and cheese with lettuce and tomato only subs. I hope things turn around but if not, All of you that worked at Tim's Pizza, You definitely had a very positive effect on the individuals you met and the community of Olivet, MI. We came across this place "by accident," while traveling. Low and behold, possibly the best (too 5 fir sure) we've ever had, and are world travelers w Dutch heritage; i.e. dairy expectations. This little parlor is like a time warp to the 1950's, in terms of appearance and taste. We haven't tasted the pizza yet, but of course we had to order one after tasting the ice cream. Tim's Pizza is great!!! They use real cheese and plenty of toppings. There are several other meals on the menu. Their ice cream is a town favorite! A variety of flavors to chose from, super great prices, and HUGE servings. If you order pizza-be sure to get the "FAMILY SPECIAL" (large pizza, bread sticks, 2 liter)! Tim's Pizza! A college town fav. I went to college in Olivet and Tim's was definitely a staple to the students. Not only is it a convenient walk from campus, but it also tastes amazing! Like the other reviews say, the sauce and bread is fantastic. It's probably one of the better sauces I've had on pizza. The ice cream is awesome too. They used to have $1 scoops, not sure if they do any more, since I've been gone a few years now. read more

This is definitely the best pizza in Olivet, and maybe I'd go as far to say in Michigan. They make everything from scratch, and the homemade pizza sauce is the best! They also have subs (which I would only give two stars--nothing special here), salads and hand-dipped ice cream. The breadsticks are the best I've had anywhere. Very good pizza!!! The crust is excellent and a little chewy..just the way we like it. This pizza isn't greasy either....both the pan and our plates showed no evidence of a greasy pizza. We also ordered the mozzarella bread sticks....also very good! The owner accidentally sent our 1/2 order of breadsticks out with a delivery order, made sure to inform us and then delivered another order to our table and took them off our bill. Ordered a pizza, said it would be ready in 1 hour and 20 minutes, really? Seems like an unreasonable time to wait for a pizza. Went to pick up pizza, pizza was not there. Apparently my pizza was mistakenly sent out with delivery person. I was offered a gross mushroom pizza the delivery guy was suppose to take to another customer. I declined. Told I could wait an additional 30 minutes while they cooked me another pizza. I declined to wait. Ended going to Subway for dinner. Cashier was rude and unapologetic. Lousy service, ordered the taco Pizza, brought it to me with no toppings, only meat and cheese, when I asked about all the toppings they asked if I wanted them to put them on it, we'll of course. Tried ordering the cheese bread, and he looked at me like I was ordering chop suey or something. Of course we had to go to the counter to order because he wouldn't come to our table to take the order. In the 30 minutes we had to wait for our food, we saw 3 customers complain, Because their order was wrong. tim's has the best pizza in town! also a great hangout for after school or sport activities. the proximity the school is also great, because parents know that their child will be safe walking the quick walk through town w their friends after school. one problem is the pizza prices. they r quite a bit more expensive than they should be! but, their ice cream tastes great, there r many different flavors, and is cheap. whatever you're doing at tim's, keep doing it because it is great!!! read more

We ordered cheesy bread sticks and a pizza. I think they make their own bread and the sticks and pizza crust were simply to die for. Generous toppings on the pie. There was one server, Haley, who did a great job waiting every table in this busy place. My one complaint: every time a food order came up, one of the cooks would yell "Haley" from the kitchen. Stopped at Tim's for pizza on our way up I-69. Downtown Olivet's Main Street was torn up so it took some effort to get there but it was worth the short drive through Olivet College's quaint campus. Quintessential small college pizza joint with good service and good pizza, too. read more

Great local pizza shop! Love that they use provolone cheese as part of their cheese blend. The family pack deal is an excellent value. Don't forget to get their hand scooped ice cream for dessert. The price can't be beat. Eat in or carry out, the food is always good and quality is consistent. Staff is always friendly. read more
