Fun place with live music and a big area and big bar. They live music all day and night which is cool. The service was great. We got a chicken quesadilla and it was really good actually. Bar food but it's not trying to be what it's not. Younger crowd at night but a fun place!

TLDR: Awesome bartenders, good but limited food options, loud DJ, numerous events and specials. Ideal for night life and live music. Too loud, young, and rowdy for my taste. I stopped in for a light meal and a drink around 4 pm. The DJ was loudly playing 2000s songs. I enjoyed the music, but found it challenging to communicate with the bartender due to the sheer volume. Their kiwi margaritas were advertised on a sign out front, however, they were out of the ingredients needed to make it. Nicole is one of the sweetest, efficient bartender I've met. She offered to make a spicy margarita instead. The margarita unfortunately had no flavor. Tasted more like slightly sweet and alcoholic water. I ordered a pork belly taco to accompany the drink. A bit pricy at $5 for one taco and $10+ for weak drinks. Rooftop seating is available as well as indoor seating at high tops and at the bar. TVs located in both areas. Dogs seem to be welcome inside and street parking is available. They do offer a variety of specials and host events regularly. Tin Roof seems better fit for the evening/night crowd or those who enjoy loud music.

I am done with this place. It has so much potential but is mismanaged so badly that I waited almost 2 hours for an order of nachos! Despite being busy they only had one bartender. I understand it's hard to find help these days but I don't see these issues at other establishments.

Live music on a Monday! Nuff said.

Don't kid yourself and think your going to get anything other than frozen & reheated whatever. If you want to listen to Live music and maybe never discovered artist any day of the week this is the place. Eat before you arrive and drink while you listen to maybe the next discovered artist or maybe not. Time will tell.

I love the atmosphere here. I have always dined upstairs on the balcony. Great outdoor area. The view is awesome. Nice downtown view of condos, restaurants & people enjoying life. Great place to people watch. The tacos were good. Great deal on 2 tacos & a side. Alli & Sebastian are an awesome team. They checked on my party & made great food suggestions. I'll be returning. I didn't have brunch today but I have had it. The chicken & donuts with peach preserve is my favorite brunch item. You have to try it.

So this was my first time here and I've been meaning to come to this place for the longest and finally made it on a Wednesday afternoon. I went during happy hour where the apps where half off till 630. I tried the Nashville hot chicken dip which came with plentiful of chicken and the spice level was perfect. I had one of the new drinks off the spring menu, it was some kind of margarita. They also had $4 wells so I grabbed me one. They had live music too and the upstairs patio bar area was nice. Didn't think the place was that big from the outside but inside it's pretty spacious and had plenty of seatings. I know it gets crowded here on The Weekend but I'll have to try it out one Friday or Saturday night. Also the bartenders were outstanding and very helpful.

went here for karaoke night and signed up for a song. 3 hours later, we'ved reminded the dj 3 times, even offered to change the song (which was an extremely popular song to begin with and we haven't sung anything prior) and he keeps saying sure and then not ever calling us up. this place is despicable and DJ KJB is discriminative.

Do you have to be 21 to get into Tin Roof on a Saturday night?

    Yes

    Is there Karaoke?

    Yes, every Wednesday from 8pm-2am!

    18 and up?

Yes, but be careful. They hire or let ABC officers manage the door so if you are under 21 and appear drunk or have a drink with you you will get a ticket that costs hundreds of dollars.

With little signage the space feels like a natural speakeasy. It's unpolished enough to feel a little sleazy, yet polished enough to never feel dirty. Whether you're a serious whiskey enthusiast or just looking for a well-made cocktail, you're in good hands. Being open later than most Raleigh bars makes Foundation one of the city's go-to late-night options, but that shouldn't overshadow what it really is........a great bar at any hour. The atmosphere, the drinks, and the people behind the bar make this a place worth seeking out whether it's your first stop of the evening or your last.

Pleasant surprise to see Michter's as the special of the night, and it was excellent with smooth caramel and vanilla notes. Service started off a little hands-off since we ordered at the bar, but picked up toward the end when staff came by to check in. Drinks were high quality without being overpriced, and the vibe is relaxed--not at all pretentious. You can definitely come casual. If we had more time, we would've stayed longer or come back for another round.

Tokens are reasonably priced and older style arcade games only take 1- the more interactive or multi player games (think air hockey, basketball, dance dance etc) take 4. They have free popcorn, daily drink specials, and drinks were very reasonably priced. Despite being fairly busy, service at the bar was friendly and fast- I was impressed! Not much else for food here from what I can tell, so don't plan on having your meal here. I brought two teenage boys and we hung out for almost 2 hours- I think I spent about 40 bucks including tokens and a couple of drinks for myself. I really liked the street art vibe, especially all of the murals and the Instagram wall. They've done a great job with ambiance! The outdoor patio adds a lot of additional chill space. When we were there they didn't have a band playing, but I think they do often. I almost want to give it 5 stars, but several of the games were not working properly and ate our tokens. That say you can grab someone to fix them, but nobody appeared available, and I wouldn't have wanted to bother them multiple times anyhow... Would be great if they were proactively checking and fixing them. More snacks would be great too! Other than that it was a really great experience, I would definitely go back.

I'd recommend parking a few blocks away and walking if you are unable to find parking nearby. Walking into the restaurant you'll be transported to a modern brewery, bookstore, and flower shop. It feels chic, Belgian inspired, and upscale. To start I ordered a Vase IPA which was excellent. I then switched to cocktails and ordered the Black Sesame Old Fashioned (bourbon, black sesame, black walnut bitters), the Dionysus (pinot noir, raspberry lemon shrub, chambord, amaretto, lemon, rhubarb bitters), and an aviation (hendricks, luxardo, creme de violette, lemon). By far the Black Sesame Old Fashioned was my favorite and what a nice touch with cracker on top of the dish. For food we ordered the Gai Lan (Stir-fried Chinese broccoli with garlic and oyster sauce), the Peking Duck (Whole, barbecued, free-range duck served with steamed bao buns, cucumber, scallions, and hoisin-honey sauce), Sweet Soy Chicken (Scallions, bell peppers, and caramelized in our ginger soy sauce. Served with jasmine rice), the Lo Mein Noodles (Stir-fried noodles with julienned shiitake mushrooms, choy sum greens, soy sauce, and shrimp), seafood dumplings (Lobster, shrimp, and scallop dumplings served in garlic and black mushroom sauce with fried Youtiao doughnuts), Chicken Curry Bao (Steamed buns filled with spicy yellow chicken and vegetable curry), the Beef with Longhorn Peopers (Sautéed beef, ginger, and longhorn peppers with Shaoxing wine sauce. Served with jasmine rice), the Xiao Long Bao (Steamed crab and ground pork soup dumplings), Nasi Goreng Crab Fried Rice (Traditional Indonesian Chinese fried rice with blue crab meat, Nam Pla fish sauce, house made Nasi Goreng sauce, served in an egg crêpe), and the General Tso's Chicken (Crunchy, sweet, and tangy, Bhavana's General Tso comes with your choice of chicken or tofu tossed in our house-made General sauce and topped with sesame seeds. Served with jasmine rice). By far our favorite food items were the seafood dumplings (excellent flavor, Chinese donuts were so good, along with the flavor from the broth), and the shrimp lo mein noodles (cooked perfectly and the sauce was perfectly distributed).
