He found multiple strains of mold, and I have included the photos from his report below. My hair is falling out, and my eczema is the worst that it's ever been. I am extremely lucky that I noticed a black film on my dishes and then followed a black shadow from my cabinets to the air conditioning vent in my kitchen and upon opening it, I discovered an alarming amount of mold. I then hired the mold inspector and sent the apartments a copy of the mold inspection. I went back-and-forth fighting with the apartment for three months while still paying rent even though I was not living there. They finally let me out of my lease without consequence only to send me a bill for $650 to replace the carpet that they know is infested with mold. I have had to throw away thousands of dollars in furniture and clothing and they are still trying to get more money out of me. Plus, who knows what long-term health effects I will have due to this. Please do not move here. Protect your health and your wallet.

My experience with the leasing office--**especially Cyndee, who loves to call herself a manager but lacks the professionalism, knowledge, and basic decency for the role--**has been nothing short of a nightmare. They will charge you for EVERYTHING, even normal wear and tear. After living in this raccoon-infested building for four years (yes, raccoons--which I and other tenants reported multiple times with zero action from management), my heating unit went out. I have videos and pictures of raccoons literally playing with the wires. Instead of taking responsibility, they charged me over $100, claiming the unit failed because I had a Christmas tree and a basket with bags in the same closet. If I'm lying, they should post the pictures of the so-called "clutter." They tried to force me into a decision with less than 12 hours' notice. On February 28th, I came home from work to find a notice on my door stating that because I had "so many issues," they weren't renewing my lease and were putting me on a month-to-month contract. That wasn't the issue--the problem was that the letter stated I had until March 1st (a Saturday) to decide if I would accept or move out. That gave me less than 12 hours to figure out where I was going to live. I immediately emailed them, asking for more time to explore my options, and was told NO--I had to decide immediately. They held my rental history hostage. I hustled to find another place and secured one by March 7th. When my new leasing office reached out for rental verification, Cyndee refused to release my rental history because I hadn't submitted a 30-day notice on March 1st. Mind you, I wasn't even given a fair chance to explore my options before then! She told me she wouldn't release my information unless I paid the full April rent, even though I had offered to pay through April 7th, since that's when I officially gave notice. Cyndee is rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. Our email exchanges show exactly how dismissive and unhelpful she is--I can post them if needed. She tried to justify her refusal to work with me by referencing the Fair Housing Act (saying if she made an exception for me, she'd have to do it for everyone). When I corrected her--because the Fair Housing Act had NOTHING to do with this--she got upset, because yet again, she was wrong. Cyndee has been there WAY too long and needs to be fired immediately. The fact that Parkview Apartments allows someone like her to remain in this position is disgusting. She is the definition of bad management, and tenants have suffered because of it. The company allowing her to work there should be sued immediately, and I hope it happens soon. Bottom line: Parkview Apartments is a nightmare. They don't take care of their buildings, they will charge you for things that aren't your fault, they give unfair deadlines, and the management is the worst I have ever encountered. If you're thinking about moving here--DON'T. You'll regret it.

The management here, specifically Marcel, is by far the most unprofessional landlord I've ever dealt with. Numerous tenants, including myself, have experienced the same pattern of neglect, retaliation, and outright mistreatment. Maintenance issues are ignored for weeks or months, forcing people to contact city officials just to get basic repairs done. Our AC went out 4 times within this one year period, and they would on take on average 1 week to repair the AC. That is unacceptable , temps would rise into the 90s in my unit. I will note, the maintenance guys are so bad at their job, they won't report anything that happens in the unit. That's good and bad. Good, because we had two cats and we never had to pay the deposit. Bad, because nothing ever got fixed. Also, they will only return a portion of your deposit, and label it as cleaning fees. Oh well, I still screwed them out of all of the pet rent, and deposits for those said cats. There is also horrible safety issues around the building. Break-ins occur nightly and shootings monthly. So happy to be out of here.

There was always trash in the courtyard and the breezeways. When I PCS'd they charged me $80 for cleaning and my utilities were doubled for that month. Just recently, they had the parking lot resurfaced and the entire complex painted. These are older buildings, and they do their best to maintain them while keeping the costs low. Zach also has prior experience in maintenance. Whatever question you have about the apartment: rent, apartment policies, mail, changing locks, be sure to ask. I peppered them with many questions before moving in, and they answered them speedily and in great detail. If they didn't know, they were sure to check. Maintenance has been great. Brian and his team have been on top of it. If it's an emergency, they will work on it as soon as they can, usually within 48 hours or less, depending on the severity. If it's non-priority, a little longer. But they do get to it, and if you prefer, you can get a text notification if it was done. You have the option to pay your rent online as well. That's made it very convenient for me. Zach or Mary can help set you up with that. When living in an apartment, you're never going to have the perfect quiet, but the residents here have been respectful enough. You have some who are a little more boisterous than others, but that's typical. Since I've been here, I've never had a bad run-in with another tenant. Most people keep to themselves and their friends. Like anywhere, you simply have to be considerate of others. When I moved here in early 2015, there were more singles. Recently, the residents have been more young families. Of course, that can change. For this complex, the dumpsters are on the north side of the building only. I often see people drive over with their trash on the hood of their car to drop it off. So that may be a little bit cumbersome, but most have gotten used to it. I pay just shy of $600 for a two-bedroom apartment, and it's reasonably spacious. There are also studio (efficiencies) and 1-bedroom apartments. They all come with 1-bathroom. It is an older building, but it is well-maintained and the staff is great and cheerful. They are also firm about enforcing their rules which they inform you about upon moving in. You are expected to comply. But that's expected anywhere. You can also borrow movies from the office for free if you like. Trash is included in the rent. Electricity is through OG&E. As for water, you will receive a notice on your door of the cost. I usually pay about $21 a month. The complex is tucked away in a area surrounded by a quiet neighborhood, Rose State College and I-40. At night you can occasionally hear Taps or Reveille being played on the base. Overall, it's a decent and affordable place to live. Minutes from downtown. Minutes from the base. On SE 29th Street, you'll find Sam's Club, Target, Walmart, Lane Bryant, Chik-Fil-A, Cheddars, Panera Bread, Tinker AFB, Kohl's, Best Buy, JC Penney's, Marshall's, Office Depot, Dick's Sporting Goods, McAlister's Deli, etc. On Air Depot you can find Golden Corral's, IHOP, KFC, CVS, Walgreens, Dollar Tree, Ross Dress for Less, Sears, Payless Shoes, Big Lots, Aldi Discount Supermarket (organic food for broke people), Adelweiss Liquor Store, Wendy's, Appleby's, Mr. Spriggs BBQ, etc. On Reno Ave, you'll find Goodwill, Basil's Mediterranean Restaurant, Crest Foods Supermarket, Braum's Ice Cream & Burger, Wash Cycle Laundromat, Alliance Midwest Hospital, Walmart Neighborhood Market, and Joe Barnes Park (very nice park to go walking). Joe Barnes Park also offers a softball field, pavilions for picnics, a separate mini dog park, basketball & tennis courts and the popular Reno Swim & Slide pool open during the summer. And for you golfers, there's a golf course adjacent to the park. On SE 15 St, you'll find Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, Sally's Beauty Store, Mazzio's, KFC, Boomerang Burgers (pretty good), Goodwill, Tuesday Morning thrift store, 7-11 Gas Stations, Taco Mayo, Car Wash (new, inexpensive with zippy lights in the car wash). On the Border is new, and it's also on SE 29th Street on the way to Sam's Club. If you're exiting the TInker main gate, it will be on your left just past First National Bank. If you're looking for gas stations with 100% gas: Oncue, Valero, VP Racer and the large 7-11 pumps. Just drive around Midwest City. See what you find.
