I recently had my windshield replaced due to a crack. The repair itself was completed quickly, and…read moreinitially I was satisfied with the service. However, immediately after starting my car following the replacement, I received an "Auto Headlights Inoperative" warning -- the same issue another reviewer previously mentioned. I contacted Lazaro regarding the problem, and I was told it was likely just a coincidence, despite never having experienced this issue before the service. He said the the windshield had nothing to do with lights but on certain vehicles its in the rear view mirror called an LRSM(Light Rain Sensor Module) I believe that's something they should be aware of. A technician was sent back out, but the explanation I received was simply that "something must be wrong" and that it "should be a simple fix," without any real resolution or accountability. At that point, I decided to handle the issue myself and pay out of pocket, as I felt my concerns were no longer being taken seriously and the focus was more on closing the job than resolving the problem. I also sensed they couldn't fix it if they wanted to, they probably didn't know how so I wasn't going to waste my time with them anymore. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. If certain vehicles or sensor systems require specialized handling during windshield replacement, technicians should either be properly trained or transparent about any limitations beforehand.

Safelite called immediately, made an appt, and got to my house on time. I have a Macan which meant replacing the windshield and calibrating the camera. They were professional and very sweet. I will tell you that, later in the evening, the rear view mirror fell down. I called and they had someone at my house first thing in the morning. There was a screw that was a bit loose. He fixed it, explained it and showed it to me. It took all of about 8 minutes. They were friendly, professional, and fast. I would highly recommend.

I had to chase them down repeatedly just to get the most basic updates. No one ever reached out proactively. It felt like I was managing the entire process myself while they did... nothing. They also failed to coordinate with my insurance in any meaningful way, which only added more delays and confusion. You'd think a company that does this every day would have that figured out, but apparently not. Request was send in Feb, it is now April, just to order a part and attempt to schedule the service. A month of me calling, following up, and basically begging for progress because they clearly weren't capable of handling it on their own. And then, after all that time wasted, they refused to complete the service, for no valid reason whatsoever. Nothing had changed from the original situation. Same car, same issue, same everything. They just decided not to do the job. To top it off, the on-site staff was rude, dismissive, and acted like I was the inconvenience. No accountability, no urgency, no professionalism. Honestly one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. Avoid Safelite at all costs unless you enjoy wasting your time and being treated like your business doesn't matter.
