I have taken my time to write this review until after my daughter left the school because of course…read moreI wanted to get a more bird eye view. With that in mind, I wanna say I am deeply grateful for this school. They have great systems in place with low ratio and really teach the little ones a lot while they're there. I can solidly say that at two years old my daughter can count from one to 20 and sing the whole alphabet along with about 15 different nursery, rhymes and stack blocks and has very advanced fine motor and motor skills because of the school. I'm a licensed OT and always felt safe with and confident in staff. Mrs. Nali, Mrs Dhammika, and Mrs Nayana are well educated in this age group, patient, and loving. All of the staff are truly wonderful. We went from infant, to wobbler, to toddler and transitioned very well. I don't know the frequency but every time my child which class they gave me a comprehensive developmental checklist to tell me what my child was doing or wasn't doing that was on track for proper development or not and that is huge. When you're a busy parent and don't always notice some of the things that Are typical or atypical to have some professional eyes to help you understand where your child is developmentally is huge. They are CPR trained and do a great job with making sure they're fed and changed consistently. My baby never came home hungry or never was crying when I picked her up and never got diaper rash there. If you choose to be part of the little app, you will get photos of your child. Once every couple weeks in the classroom is playing with the other children. They also send little videos and they do little Halloween parades and classroom parties. The Christmas parade is precious too! The focus of MONTESSORI is self-sufficiency which as an occupational therapist I really love. She would come home and if she spilled something, she would run right away to try to clean it up. She very much wanted to learn how to do things on her own and she knew how to threw away her own trash, which was not something I taught her at home necessarily lol It truly is adorable and prepares your baby for a successful road ahead with school and life beyond. My only thing I would change is having carpet or soft floor in the infant room vs hard floors. Other than that, everything really is done perfectly, and they have a lovely little outdoor space that they take them to a few times a day where they can ride bikes and do the slide and all of that. Learning how to operate in a group and look at what the rest of the group is doing and follow along is a critical life skill, and my baby has transitioned to preschool seamlessly because of her experience at this other school. In fact, one of her current teachers used to work at Wee care as well and has positive things to say.

It takes a lot for me to feel comfortable leaving my little one in the care of someone else, but at AEC, they truly care for each child like their own. The teachers and the aides are on top of it, and they greet us and say goodbye with a smile and open arms. The activities are culturally inclusive and are tailored to support the children's development. They offer a full Spanish immersion program, which is perfect to build our little one's language skills. They created a garden this year, and renovated their playground, which is great for the littles. During the summer, they do water play, which is perfect because Lakewood summers get HOT. We love seeing how much the kids love being here! Another thing I really enjoy is how Arc en Ciel fosters parent engagement and ways to stay connected-there's a monthly newsletter, a group chat, events, and an amazing PTA.

What truly sets Arc en Ciel apart is the caring, dedicated staff. The teachers create a warm, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to be themselves. They foster a genuine love of learning through play, exploration, and curiosity, helping children build confidence while developing language skills naturally. As a parent, I also appreciated the remodeled campus and the added peace of mind that comes with the secure, passcode-protected entry and frequent communication on Brightwheel. If you're looking for a preschool that provides a strong foundation for bilingual education while surrounding your child with kindness, encouragement, and exceptional care, I wholeheartedly recommend Arc en Ciel Preschool. Check them out on Facebook or Instagram and schedule a tour--you won't be disappointed!

On her first day, we were told that babies who were not yet independent might not be the best fit. As parents dropping our baby off for the first time, we left feeling more judged than supported. We also noticed through the daycare app that she was often seated in a high chair for extended periods, which raised concerns for us. During her first week, we felt discouraged when there seemed to be little patience for the fact that our 10-month-old wasn't immediately able to nap on the same schedule as the older toddlers. We expected there to be an adjustment period. When she became sick during her first week--a common experience for many children starting daycare--we felt our concerns were dismissed and were told it was likely just the weather. We ultimately decided to move our daughter to another daycare, where she has thrived. She is now 2 years old, loves going to school, and has a wonderful relationship with her teachers. That experience showed us how important a patient and supportive environment is during those early transitions. I'm sharing our experience because I know how vulnerable first-time parents can feel. Every family's experience may be different, but Sunshine was not the right fit for ours.

I was initially sold by the DIVERSITY, exciting summer themed weeks they were having, the securely gated entry, technology check-in and out system, the fact that they use ClassDojo for communication and photos of what the children do throughout the day, and small class sizes (2 teachers to 12 children). Additionally, the atmosphere is spacious, colorful, and clean. I loved the organized and structured schedule and that they're actually learning rather than it being a regular daycare. Being a Christian school was a bonus for us! What moved this school over the edge was the in-school opt-in enrichment opportunities: music class, karate, dance/gym. AND the hours are perfect for working families like us. My son started here at age 2, not potty trained. Potty training was barely on our radar but his teacher, Ms. Demmy, worked with him and one day randomly told me that he's ready and to only bring underwear the following week. I was shook! But he was officially potty trained at 2.5 years old! If it were just on us, he definitely wouldn't have been until after age 3. We are so thankful. Later on to my surprise, they sent home Trimester Report Cards evaluating their necessary milestones for their designated age. I was blown away and it helped us to know what areas we needed to work on at home for him. As an educator, this was so impactful, because I didn't expect report cards until elementary school! This has been so valuable to track his progress overtime now that he's 4-years-old. The teachers and director here are phenomenal. Super attentive, open, kind. They model behavior, teach values and character, and maintain high expectations. And they appear as if they actually love their job and my child, and that means a lot to me. Creative Day lives up to their name. They're SO creative! From the arts and crafts they do weekly to the fun activities they do. Some of the most memorable are how elaborate the Trunk or Treat & Christmas Programs are, family picnics, and the first ever Preschool Prom! And how can I forget PARENTS' NIGHT OUT!!! Once a month, they host a parents' night out for $35 to keep children until 11pm. As someone who doesn't have family nearby, my husband & I try to take advantage every month, so we don't have to actively seek a babysitter. This has been such a blessing that most schools don't offer! Before Creative Day, my child attended 2 previous preschools in Bellflower, and we were unsatisfied. Finding Creative Day has been the perfect fit and I dread the day he ages out. We plan to keep him here through Kindergarten because we know it'll be so challenging to find any other school that can remotely compare. People ask us all the time which school my child goes to because he speaks so clearly, is well-adjusted, and smart. I attribute so much of who he is today to Creative Day. If you're looking for a high-quality Preschool with academic preparation and a fun experience for your child and family, this is the place to be. You won't find anything else better in Bellflower.

I highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a caring and supportive environment. During this time Leslie, who has raised 5 children of her own, and her associates have done a wonderful job of caring for my son treating him as a part of their family. I leave him there everyday with the peace of mind knowing that he is in good hands. They do activities throughout the day and Leslie, being a former teacher herself, ensures that kids are always being prepared for entry into kindergarten - not just in terms of learning ABC's and phonetics but also steering kids so their behavior and social skills are developing well. Leslie must have infinite patience, as my kid is a handful and at times and drives me nuts. I don't know how she does it, but I believe it is part of her wonderful personality. Kids are happy to be there. She sends pictures of the events they have for kids' birthdays, holidays, etc. She gives parents honest feedback about behavior and areas in need of improvement. Finally, I feel it's important to mentiom that the entire Chim Family is excellent, rooted in the highest of values. You can trust them with your most precious little ones. I know I have for the past 3 and half years.
