I have taken my time to write this review until after my daughter left the school because of course I wanted to get a more bird eye view. With that in mind, I wanna say I am deeply grateful for this school. They have great systems in place with low ratio and really teach the little ones a lot while they're there. I can solidly say that at two years old my daughter can count from one to 20 and sing the whole alphabet along with about 15 different nursery, rhymes and stack blocks and has very advanced fine motor and motor skills because of the school. I'm a licensed OT and always felt safe with and confident in staff. Mrs. Nali, Mrs Dhammika, and Mrs Nayana are well educated in this age group, patient, and loving. All of the staff are truly wonderful. We went from infant, to wobbler, to toddler and transitioned very well. I don't know the frequency but every time my child which class they gave me a comprehensive developmental checklist to tell me what my child was doing or wasn't doing that was on track for proper development or not and that is huge. When you're a busy parent and don't always notice some of the things that Are typical or atypical to have some professional eyes to help you understand where your child is developmentally is huge. They are CPR trained and do a great job with making sure they're fed and changed consistently. My baby never came home hungry or never was crying when I picked her up and never got diaper rash there. If you choose to be part of the little app, you will get photos of your child. Once every couple weeks in the classroom is playing with the other children. They also send little videos and they do little Halloween parades and classroom parties. The Christmas parade is precious too! The focus of MONTESSORI is self-sufficiency which as an occupational therapist I really love. She would come home and if she spilled something, she would run right away to try to clean it up. She very much wanted to learn how to do things on her own and she knew how to threw away her own trash, which was not something I taught her at home necessarily lol It truly is adorable and prepares your baby for a successful road ahead with school and life beyond. My only thing I would change is having carpet or soft floor in the infant room vs hard floors. Other than that, everything really is done perfectly, and they have a lovely little outdoor space that they take them to a few times a day where they can ride bikes and do the slide and all of that. Learning how to operate in a group and look at what the rest of the group is doing and follow along is a critical life skill, and my baby has transitioned to preschool seamlessly because of her experience at this other school. In fact, one of her current teachers used to work at Wee care as well and has positive things to say. read more

We could not be more thrilled with the care and curriculum our child receives here. It's a safe, loving environment. We attended a different center for several months and the juxtaposition is wild. Our child's vocabulary has exploded in just a few weeks- better sleep, healthier, great hygiene, improved communication, more skills from structure. Ms Kim and Wee Care Montessori have improved our lives so much. Ms Dhammika is a warm, wonderful person who is always smiling and engaging with the children. We had a great experience with WeeCare for our toddler. She was always cheerful at drop off and pickup. She readily hugged her teachers, so we were confident and grateful about the quality of care they provided. We enjoyed the multiple play spaces available for our toddler which included a separate main classroom, an activity area, and outdoor playground. My son started Wee Care at 13 months old; he is now almost 3 years old and will sadly be leaving Wee Care soon. He would have started Wee Care at an earlier age but there wasn't space available at the time. The previous daycare was terrible. The babies were all in one tight room, eating/pooping/sleeping in the same space, germs spread rampantly there! My infant son got sick so often, it was heartbreaking. Fortunately, Wee Care finally had space open for my son and we couldn't transfer fast enough. Wee Care is exponentially better. I love that they have dedicated and separate spaces for playing, eating, and sleeping for infants/young toddlers. My son thrived in Wee Care and was able to sleep much much longer than at the previous daycare. He ate well and slept well and enjoyed playing with his friends. The teacher to baby ratio is low and the tuition is very reasonable. The facility may seem dated, but it's very well-maintained and clean. All the teachers genuinely care for the kids. I would recommend Wee Care to any family and will be sending my second baby to Wee Care as well! read more

So happy to found this place for out little one! Our kid started in this school at 13 months (moving from a previous daycare) and he adapted on the first week. He smiles every day, runs to meet teachers and friends every single day. He transitioned to the woddler class and continues to be happy all day. Teachers are great! I have so many positive things to say about Wee Care. However, I feel a this story will sum up all the positives. My youngest started there at 4 months old. It was extremely difficult for my wife and I to have our baby in daycare, especially since our oldest stayed at home with me her fist 2.5 years of life. When my youngest was 2 she was eligible to go to her big sister's daycare, which I absolutely love that place too, but it meant pulling my youngest from Wee Care a year early. Any parent doing multiple pick ups and drop offs knows the Unicorn moment is when both are at the same place. As our Unicorn moment was approaching the euphoria of single pick up and drop off was countered with the realization that my baby would no longer be going to Wee Care. The last month there was incredibly hard on me because we had an amazing experience there. The learning environment, the play environment and the staff are all top notch. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a daycare, especially an infant day care. read more

My son has been in this school since he was 3 months old and he is now 2 years old. I say school and not daycare because the there is daily curriculum and my son has learned so much. The school is divided into three rooms: baby, wobbler, and toddler. The schedule for your child in the baby room is based on your child's need and what you communicate to the teachers. The wobbler and toddler rooms have a set schedule for the class (i.e. one nap that starts at 11am, lunch time, etc.). My son was in the baby room 3m-12m, wobbler 13-18m, and now toddler. The teachers truly care about each child and will update you in the mornings at drop-off. There is a head teacher in each room. Either once or twice a year you will have a parent teacher conference that updates you on your child's age appropriate developmental skills. They also host holiday events, such as a Halloween Parade and a Christmas performance - seriously the cutest thing you will ever see. You are sent home with a daily report that includes who did every diaper change, what type of diaper change it was, what they ate and at what time, how long they slept and at what time, and if there are any updates or needs (i.e. bring more diapers). Parents are required to supply all food, diapers, wipes, crib sheets, and blankets. In the toddler room the school provides a morning and an afternoon snack, but you are still responsible for lunches. There is a fridge, microwave, and water bottle warmers for the baby and wobbler rooms, but no fridge or microwave for the toddlers. The outdoor area is a courtyard in the middle of the building. It is not a big grass field, but it is sufficient for the age-range of the school. Their is a locked gate that only parents know the code to and the code is changed often. The reviews are wrong about the on-site director not speaking English well. She speaks and understands perfectly well, but has a heavier accent on the phone. Enrollment starts at the beginning of a month, and you typically aren't called to ask to join until a few weeks prior. But if you do get in, take it! My son loved this place. He loved his teachers, and I think they enjoyed him in their rooms as well. He started in the infant room at 4 months and ended in the toddler room around 2 years. He learned all kinds of stuff during his time there along with social skills, which was important to us. The hours are great 7am - 6pm. Locked front door, so random people can't just come in. They give you daily reports of your child's activity. They have a curriculum they follow every month. They are open for business on days that regular schools and daycares are closed (that might follow the unified school districts days of operation), which is nice. It is costly, but definitely worth it. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and when we have our next one we will definitely plan on taking him to Wee Care. read more

My child does not go to daycare here, however I'm writing a review based on the professionalism of Wee Care after attempting to enroll. We toured Wee Care about 3 months before our daughter was born. The daycare looked clean enough and the one-on-one attention seemed pretty good. There were a couple aspects that we would consider drawbacks. One being no grass, that we saw anyway and I believe we took the full tour. Two was that there were a lot of children, which I believe can lead to more sicknesses being spread as a generalization, not just of this place. Wee Care did seem clean though and the kids looked happy enough. At the end of the tour we asked what the protocol was for enrollment. The manager that gave us the tour said to call when the baby was born and to fill out an application today, which we did. We asked when they needed a down payment by and she just said to call and they were pretty sure there would be a spot open in early June. Our daughter was born at the end of January, I called in early February and spoke with a female manger who said our daughter was being held a spot for June and they had her application on file. It was an epic fail on my part for not getting her name. She had also told me that no down payment was necessary. Another, too-good-to-be-true assessment and failure on my part. What daycare doesn't take a down payment to hold a spot? My bad, I was naive here. It was coming up to June, so I gave them a call about 3 weeks ago and asked if the spot was still being held, they said no. They had no recollection of us being promised a spot even though they still had our daughters application of file. I called back three more times to speak with that particular daycare manager and she never got back to me. This was very upsetting as it left us with very little time to find a daycare AND they didn't even bother trying to find a solution. The fact that they couldn't call back and give us a good answer as to why the spot wasn't being held anymore is beyond me. However, following suite with the previous bad review posts on Yelp, I'm sure someone from Wee Care will respond it was because we didn't put a down payment down to hold a spot! Just so everyone knows, we offered!!! Moral of our story is, if you want your child to go here, force your down payment on these people and get everything in writing! They were completely unprofessional with us and we are actually VERY happy it did not work out as we found a recommended home daycare with a 5 child maximum that has been very successful for over 20 years. Since I dont work here any more and I wasn't fired and I work at a new montessori school that's just as great. I can finally write a review. LOL This is a great place for infant care. It's not exactly completely montessori ( but its a great preschool education). And its connected to 2 real montessori schools both on Atherton. The staff here is great. They really care about the kids. And u can tell. U would be putting ur babies in great hands. They take ages 6 months-5 years old. And I know ur thinking if its so great y only 4 stars its because she (the owner) really needs to stop being cheap and pay her employees more, they deserve it. It may sound strange to be reviewing a school, but this isn't an ordinary place. In fact, I have referred 3 other moms to come here (random people I met too - not life long friends, though now, our children probably will be). The level of care, nurturing and education is unsurpassable by any day care facility we have seen elsewhere. Trust me, we were touring schools and day cares when our little one was still in the womb. The director of this school, Ms. Gail - is the sweetest lady! She isn't involved with Rachael day to day, but Rachael loves to see her and say hi every morning we come in. Just goes to show how much love all the children feel from the various teachers here. The ratio of children to teachers is 2 to 1 and sometimes even 1 to 1. As new parents, we feel comfortable knowing our daughter is in the hands of people who truly love her too! In fact when she moved from the infant room to "wobblers" (the stage in between infant and toddlers), a few of the teachers actually cried! They subscribe to the TRUE Montessori style of teaching, not "fake Montessori" - and are part of the International Montessori Academy. It has been comforting to know that they encourage and foster the growth of our daughter, and have taught us many things along the way too. We attribute her early milestone achievements to the care that she receives here when we are unable to be away from work, (including: walking at 9 months, sippy cup at 14 months/no bottles, routine 1 nap a day). Being a working parent is tough, but if you want to give your child the best care when away from home, call Ms. Malki (the director of the entire school - all 3 locations) and set up a tour! For those curious about ages/classes - MCH1 is Infant (3 months-14 months), Wobblers (14 months to 24-26 months), and Pre-School. So, yes, your child need not be potty trained. What a great place! We are so blessed to have found a caring and safe place for our little one. He is happy when I drop him off and happy when I pick him up. My son is 7 months old and is doing great at Wee Care. The staff is amazing with him and their communication is outstanding. My son has been going to Wee Care since he was 14 months old. He is now 27 months old and in the toddler class. When we enrolled him, he was in the wobbler classroom, which is the age group of 12-18 months and in-between the infant and toddler room. It was a great transitional stage and gave the kids their own space to learn to walk, sit at a table, feed themselves, wash hands, etc. The care he received in this room by his teachers was great. The communication and feedback from the teachers was exactly what I was looking for, especially after abruptly leaving the nightmare of a in-home care situation where we had a language barrier, and difference of opinion/reality of things. I felt so at ease and peace once I brought my son to Wee Care. He has been in the toddler room for some time now and I have to say, we love Ms. Sandra, Linda, and Kayla. What he has learned while attending the school is amazing! He is just over two and knows his ABC's, numbers to 20, he can sing about 10 different songs, he can count, has fine and large motor skills, etc. From what I see while dropping him off and picking him up each day, all the kids are very well-behaved. They aren't running around aimlessly; they are all sitting pretty peacefully engaged with some activity. The staff has always been very nice and attentive to the kids. I have started to search for a preschool, since my son will be graduating soon, and Wee Care is as clean as daycares/preschools come. In comparison to some I've recently seen, Wee Care is spotless. Just to address the review from the parent who pulled their child from Wee Care due to the frequency of their child's illnesses while attending, my son too has been sick nearly every month through this last winter. He had ear infection after ear infection, and eventually had to have ear tubes put in. This is the reality of having your kids in daycare. Every kid reacts differently to colds and viruses; some roll with it no problem, others have weaker immune systems and greater problems can arise. I don't blame Wee Care for my child getting sick so often. I work with a number of parents whose kids are sick just as frequently as mine and the kids are in all different daycares, some big, some small like a 4 to 1 ratio home environment. It happens. It's been a giant pain, but I see it as he is building a strong immune system as we go through it all. My family loves and trusts Wee Care and we wouldn't hesitate to bring a second child here. read more

We first started looking for a daycare when our son turned one. We were just about ready to give up and keep him home for a little longer until we found Wee Care. It was the last daycare we toured and we were impressed and ready to enroll him that day. We were pleased to see such a clean facility, plenty of space for kids to play, welcoming staff, good staff to children ratio and organized classrooms and schedules for the children. We wanted a place that would take good care of our son's personal needs, encourage growth, and prepare our son for school. Wee Care does not disappoint in all these areas. They have all accomplished these and more. Most importantly, they have done so with the best care and the kindness of their staff. The staff follows an organized routine for taking care of the children's personal needs. They have designated times for play, washing hands, going to the bathroom, learning time, snack time and naptime. The difference in the children's behavior and skills can be observed immediately. Our son improved in following routines. He can now say his ABCs, count to 20, sing numerous songs, and he does very well with sharing and playing with other kids. All of these are encouraged and taught at wee care. As for hygiene, I mentioned the facility's appearance being clean. The staff is great at washing hands and teaching the children good habits. However, no matter how clean a facility is, it's expected for children to pass on their sickness to each other from time to time. It's part of the reality of being in a daycare. Our son got the cold numerous times and even caught hand, foot, and mouth disease once. While we absolutely hate it when our children gets sick, we are very realistic about it also. If our child got sick for months, then he would have been pulled out Of daycare at the doctor's advice. Luckily, we never had to resolve to that. The staff shows great concern for when our child gets sick and notifies us immediately if they notice anything that is a little off. Overall, we would recommend Wee Care to other parents. our son is very happy and continuously impresses us by the new things he learns in his class. As a matter of fact, our second child will also be attending here. We are very confident that she will receive the best care as our son did. read more

I've tried multiple times to schedule a tour. The woman who answers the phone clearly doesn't understand her own schedule since she can't even tell me when's a good time to tour. Her English isn't great either. Anyway, I managed to schedule a tour with her few weeks ago but she cancels on me 30 minutes beforehand because a helper was sick. I am not one to judge curriculum so I am not going to include it in my review, but overall my wife and I are really happy with Wee Care. They are great at integrating new children to the school and all the care givers are thoughtful and attentive. We were thinking about a daycare at a private residence but I was turned off by the retro fitted garages and the personnel that these people were allowing to care for the kids. (E.g. Uninsulated garages, poor English speakers, and cluttered play areas.) Wee care resolves these problems by having a well planned facility where there is plenty of space for kids to explore and very nice care givers that always say "have a great day!" I really can't stay enough about this place, other than you can't find people who care as much as Wee Care. read more

Here is our Wee Care Montessori story.....It is a long one because my youngest two went through the program here. This review is long overdue but I waited until both of my children finished the program so I can give an honest and complete review to parents who are looking for care for their precious babies. My son started in the Wobbler room. He was extremely attached to me. His temperament was a challenge. I was very hesitant about leaving him and was scared to go back to work because I truly did not know if he could tolerate being in a program. They assured me they can take great care of him. Well they lived up to their word and kept me informed. The teachers at the time were so kind and kept us informed with their daily reports. Honestly I could never find anything to complain about. He then moved onto the Toddler program with Ms. Sandra (an extremely patient, loving and gifted teacher). He learned the alphabet, counting, colors, shapes and most important great social skills. In this program they also kept close documentation of his schedule such as napping and eating. He graduated from this program at the age of 3. I am happy he is now five and a great student. He learned good manners, life skills and independence in this program. My daughter started the infant program with Ms. Dhamika at the age of 5 months and moved through the entire program until the age of 2. In the infant program, the daily report of her schedule helped us with the rest of the day as we knew when to give her next nap and feeding. The room was always kept very clean. As much as possible, they try to make sure the babies are happy. They also have a separate sleeping area for the infants that was very important to me. The babies eat, sleep and play in separate areas. The sleeping area was quiet and calm. My baby was always fed and clean when I picked her up. They had many developmentally appropriate toys and plenty of room to crawl around. I would see the teachers always write down the time babies fell asleep and were fed. Then she moved onto the Wobbler program and the Toddler program. I always enjoyed that she had different programs that she would graduate to based on her development. She like my son learned a lot of good life skills as well as manners. We have very good memories of our time at this school. read more

We think the best thing happened to my son Dhevin is starting school at wee care montessori. He was a kid that was crying in the beginning like any other child and with the love and nurture of the teachers at wee care he started to like going to school. He has learned to eat alone and also very advanced academically. He learned to count to no 31, sing the Whole ABC song, match colors and shapes, singing nursery rhymes, knowing the names of all the animals and animal sounds. Also he has learned variety of arts and crafts. He is only 2 years old. We love Wee Care! Our son started at Wee Care when he was only four months old. I was devastated to be leaving my first baby to return to work, and I was convinced he would be traumatized by the experience. I was definitely wrong! He has been there for nine months now and absolutely loves it! He adores his teachers and we feel like they care for him like he is their own child. He definitely listens to them more than to us! I hear stories from friends and coworkers about having to leave their crying children at daycare, but my son has never cried when I dropped him off for the day. He gets so excited when we pulled up to the building and is always happy to see his teachers. He truly loves Ms. Dhammika, Mary, Monica, Maria, Ashley, and Rosetta. My wife and I are very satisfied with Wee Care. Our oldest son started at 3 months and progressed through the toddler program. Our 20-month-old twin boys started at a similar age. Every child is going to get sick and when children are grouped together those sicknesses invariably will spread. It's part of growing up. In the five years we have had children enrolled at Wee Care we never encountered any issues with cleanliness. When outbreaks occur, parents are notified. What has impressed us the most is the dedication of the Wee Care employees, starting with Miss Dhammika, the program director. A facility can be as sterile as a hospital operating room but that doesn't ensure quality care. The people make the difference. At each stop in the Montessori process -- from infant to wobbler to toddler -- our children have been nurtured and treated as individuals.And the result has been that they reach developmental milestones more quickly than children in traditional day care settings. Balancing parenthood and careers is tough enough, Worrying about the health and safety of your child while away at work adds another layer of stress. The strongest indication of our satisfaction with Wee Care is that when we drop off our kids, we don't worry about them. We know they are in goods hands. read more

This was my first time putting my 16 month old son in daycare, and I thought it was going to be really rough on both of us. I was wrong! The teachers at WeeCare are all so sweet and involved with the kids. I can tell they truly love my little guy. They also teach them a lot. WeeCare is the a wonderful place with great people that have taken great care our daughter. I can't recommend them enough . We began the search for daycare when I was pregnant and never even considered a program like this. We had preconceived notions about Weecare, an "Institutional" program. My husband and I walked out in LOVE and immediately got our daughter on a wait list. About a month after she was born they called and said a spot opened...and we have been thrilled ever since. They treat our daughter with such love and tenderness, it's like we have family watching her...but better! She has really developed and blossomed under their care. We walk in, in the morning, their faces light up to see her and SHE lights up to see them. It's comforting to know that our daughter is in the care of these people. Our search for daycare ended with Weecare and it was one of the best decisions we have made. Recently we had to relocate for work, so we had to leave them. I'm not sure if we will find a palace as good as Weecare for her now, globe cause hey have set the bar pretty high. Take a tour, talk to the ladies and get on the wait list! I love Wee Care! Well, I could tell my son loves it too but I def feel at peace when I drop off my little man. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am for all of the staff at Wee Care, they have very much become a part of our family, and truly are one of the high points of our lives at this very moment. When my wife was going back to work and we had to figure out how to care for our three month old, it was truly a very difficult and emotional experience. We considered the nanny route, and had some trouble, and we were really scared for what we might do. We called Wee Care, and luckily, they had a position available for our daughter. Our experience since then, nearly 3 months ago, has been nothing short of tremendous. The staff are so very caring, and our daughter truly loves the experience. She is excited to be at Wee Care each and every day. We could not be happier!!!. Our daughter is the most important thing in the world to us, her safety, happiness, and growth are so very important to us. We do not make the decision of daycare lightly, and we could truly not be more impressed and gratified with our experience at we care. Our daughter started here when she was five months old. Miss Dhamika was a very nice lady and she always let me know how our baby girl doing when I called. However, when our daughter moved to the toddler class she had a lot of accidents. I was mortified everytime I dropped her off in the morning and worried something will happen to her. We finally found another school for her after other child scratched her face really bad. She has been at this new school for 18 months and rarely have any accident or other children attacking her. She used to cry a lot when I dropped her off. Now she is always looking forward to go to school. read more

We have two boys and both started Wee Care at the age of 4 months old. I can honestly say, I believe there is no other school or daycare that could match the quality of care and educational curriculum of Wee Care. The boys both hit milestones such as crawling and walking early and even small things like learning sign language and holding their own bottles (at only a few months old) proved to us that Wee Care really knows babies and toddlers. I oldest son is two and has an amazing vocabulary and always amazes people with how much he knows. Much of that I can directly attribute to him attending Wee Care. The school basically has 3 different classes. The "Baby" class - where kids learn basics like crawling, walking, eating and playing with others. They work with parents who's kids only drink breast milk and each baby is on his/her own schedule. The "Wobblers" class - where kids who have (sort of) learned to walk learn to have a little more structure and more responsibility. They learn things like using a spoon/fork, sitting at a table and following instructions. It is the class where kids are prepared for the Toddlers class. Finally, the kids progress to the "Toddlers" class. There they actually have a Montessori style class and learn a lot everyday. The schedule there consists of circle time, Montessori activities, playtime, and art/music projects. The teachers are amazing. The owner Ms. Nali really loves kids and you can tell it's not a just a business to her, but her life's passion. The director Ms. Dhammika knows everything that is going on within the school and all the kids love her. She is hands on with the care of the babies and provides support for the teachers of other classes. The baby class teachers are warm and caring and are always on the ball as far as feedings, naps and the babies various needs. The "Wobbler" class teachers are great at really helping the kids transition to the next phase. The Toddler class teachers led by Miss Sandra (who is a true jewel and asset to the school) teach the kids so much everyday and get them ready not only for the next school they'll attend but for life. Our first son graduates today and will move onto a Montessori school for bigger kids but we feel he is equipped to handle anything. Our younger son is in great hands and we are worry free parents every day he spends in the care of Wee Care's loving staff. read more

Every business has its quirks, and Wee Care is no exception, but overall we are very pleased to send our 18-month-old daughter here for daycare / preschool. Besides proximity to home, these are some of the reasons that we chose Wee Care Montessori Center over other local Montessori schools and daycare facilities: * Prompt communication -- When you call Wee Care, they actually answer the phone! Seriously, we toured several facilities in Long Beach and Huntington Beach where it was next to impossible to get a live person on the phone, or even get a call back the same day. Why would we leave our child someplace where you can't even talk to the staff in case of an emergency? * Friendly teachers & staff -- We are greeted with smiles every morning when we bring our daughter to Wee Care. All of the teachers / staff in the infant / toddler wing know her name and say hello to her. Handling a herd of toddlers all day would try anybody's patience, but these teachers are able to keep their cool. * Genuine concern for our child's daycare / preschool experience -- Our daughter's teacher is very approachable and always willing to answer questions and address our concerns. During parent-teacher conferences, she is able to cite real examples of our daughter's experiences at Wee Care to illustrate her assessment. When our daughter misses a day or two (e.g. due to an illness), she will call us just to check in and make sure everything's all right. It's nice to know they actually notice when she's gone. * Clean, attractive facilities -- I believe they told us that the center had been renovated within the last year... or they had just moved into a new building... I can't recall. Either way, the building and classrooms always look clean and tidy to me, there is cute decor in the hallway that catches our daughter's eye as we walk to her classroom, and each child has their own storage cubby (for their lunchbox, blankets, diapers) to help keep the classroom organized. * Modest-sized facility -- I like to think of Wee Care as the "underdog" of the facilities we toured. Their building and class sizes are smaller than most (indeed, they had open enrollment -- no waiting list), their business infrastructure may not be the well-oiled machine that some daycares have in place (I still don't know if they have a "main office" in the building), but they've got heart, they've got moxie, and in the end we felt they were the best choice for our daughter. * Our daughter enjoys her time here! -- Perhaps the most important reason of all! After the initial adjustment period had passed and the tears & anxiety had subsided (maybe 1 month or less), we could see that our daughter was actually excited and happy to attend "school" in the morning. When we arrive at Wee Care, she marches down the hall to her classroom and gets a big smile on her face when she sees her teachers and friends. It always makes me a little heartsick to leave my child in someone else's care for eight hours straight, but knowing that she's having a good time makes it that much easier for me to leave her in the morning. What's more, we can see the positive effects on her at home -- her vocabulary has exploded since attending Wee Care, and she constantly surprises us with new things she has learned at school -- a new song, how to jump, wiping her face with a napkin, and more! One thing to note: even though this is a "Montessori" center, don't expect (or worry) that your infant or toddler will be asked to adhere strictly to Montessori principles. Just from my own observations of our daughter's infant / toddler experience at Wee Care, at this age the facility is more of a daycare with a few activities and ideas borrowed from the Montessori method (e.g. focus on learning practical life skills like busing your own tray when snack time is over, seating yourself in a chair at the table, cleaning up your toys when you're finished playing, etc.). Most of the Montessori schools we researched don't start the "real" Montessori method until age 3, so this "Montessori lite" approach seems appropriate to me. I would also like to point out that while Wee Care Montessori Center shares a building with College Park Church of God, they are not affiliated, and Wee Care is a non-sectarian (i.e. secular) daycare / preschool. This was important to us during our search for a facility, as we did not want a religion-based curriculum. It's always going to be a challenge for a parent to entrust their child's care and education to a third party, but so far, we feel good about choosing Wee Care to get our daughter off to a good start. read more

I am only reviewing the place based upon the tour. 1. Easy parking and getting in and out to drop off your child 2. The place had a smell, not pleasant but bearable. I assume it is because it's an older building? 3. The rooms were clean and the children appeared to be having fun. 4. Staff were nice and greeted us. 5. The security sucks! We walked right in and no one was there to stop us! We didn't know where to check in so we just kind of walked around until the lady who gave us the tour came out. After looking at a few local home day cares and bigger institutional day cares when our original daycare fell through at the last minute, we came upon this place. I found Wee Care on Yelp and of course, I looked for reviews and noticed there weren't that many. That didn't deter us from checking this place out - we needed to find a daycare stat! My husband and I are super glad we did! We had a tour immediately and we were impressed with what we saw. As a mother, I felt the ladies there really cared about the kids and I appreciated the fact that they were nurturing (especially since my daughter was only 6 months old). Sadly we were placed on a waiting list, causing us to put a deposit down elsewhere. Thankfully a spot suddenly opened up at Wee Care and we enlisted our daughter here instead right away! We had to lose our deposit to the other daycare (which I'm SO glad we didn't settle for that place), but I felt it was worth it by taking our daughter here where I felt more comfortable leaving her. My first child has been here for two years now - starting from infant care (6 months old) to now the toddler group. She went through the Infant, Wobbler, and now the Toddler class. She has learned and accomplished so much during her years here. I couldn't imagine her being anywhere else. From the moment we drop her off to picking her up, she is always in a happy mood. She loves it here! Yes, she's been sick here and there, but isn't that expected? Thankfully she never got the Hand-Foot-Mouth disease or lice. Yes, it sounds gross, but reality is it happens in daycare and school situations. The important part was how they handled it. I felt they handled it professionally and immediately. They notified the parents and took the immediate and appropriate steps to clean and sanitize the place. She did get sick when she first started here as an infant, but now, she hardly does. Yes, there was an occasional misplaced bottle here and there in the infant room. We just returned it the next day, no biggie! We now have a second child here. She started at 3 months and now she is 8 months old. It sucked when she got sick during the first couple months here, but she got through it and is now thriving here. She is napping in the crib, taking her bottles and eating solids effortlessly, and is a happy child! That was something I noticed immediately from day one of sending my kids here - the staff are so friendly and really take the time to know the kids! My children love the staff here - Ms. Dhammika, Ms. Katherine, Ms. Linda, Ms. Sandra, Ms. Kayla - to name a few. Some staff have come and gone - but the good ones always stay =) I see the friendships my oldest child has made through Wee Care and I have gotten to know some of the parents here. It's a great place for budding relationships for the families and I really couldn't have asked for more from a daycare! It'll be hard to leave this place when my child has to move on to another preschool. She has learned so much during the last 2 years here and I can already see how much my 8 month old is growing, too! What can I say, give this place a chance! I'm sure glad we did! read more

Wee care, formerly Montessori Childrens House 1 is truly an amazing place to care for you children while you are at work. We began taking our child here when he was only 5 months old. After reviewing several other day care centers and being referred by a friend who also took her child here, we decided to enroll our baby. Being a first time parent, it was difficult leaving my baby the first few months... but with the reassurance understanding (1st time parents) and patience extended to us by the caring, sincere caregivers, it made is somewhat easier. The loving, caring and nurturing way the caregivers are with the infants and children is amazing. I truly feel they treat my child as if he was their own and he fell in love with his daycare "Mommies". The teachers throughout the center make it a point to know each child and my son loves them all and greets them by name. The turnover is low which I believe is important so that my son was able to develop trust with the caregivers. Especially knowing how infants and toddlers need routine. The ratio I believe is about 2 to 1. The school is immaculate, spotless and tidy. My son started at 5 months and is now almost 2 years old! 5 days a week he is in "school" and he LOVES it here. He has been with the same children in his class since he was an infant and I hope he continues to be classmates with the same children as he has already developed a bond which each of them! He loves his classmates! Our son has reached each milestone ahead of time and we believe it's largely due to his attendance at this school!! They have taught him so much and each day we are amazed at how much he has learned and is progressing!! They have also taught us a few things as well with providing pointers to us new parents and answering any questions we may have. Next step is pre-school... and I'm excited that our son is having the best experience at this school which has all been positive! Great job to a great staff!! read more
