This place is horrible! The owner is a mess. She is never properly staffed and she always leaves her 1 helper by herself as she runs errands through the day. Just as all the other bad reviews, they are true. My daughter is a very happy baby and the 1 week she attended this dirty home with wires all over the floor I would pick her up with her eyes red of crying. My gut instinct was to take her out. I enrolled her in another place and she is happy to walk in everyday and runs to the staff to give them hugs. There was never a transition o fear. My daughter was traumatized by a crib and it took months for her to sleep in one. I believe this place neglected my daughter and left her to cry for hours. She also had a scratch on her body and when I asked I was told they had no idea. I regret this place. Worst mistake bringing my daughter here. Please refrain from being able to bring your infant as they cannot speak for themselves and they are unfit and careless. My daughter seemed hungry everyday and would eat as if she hadn't been fed. I would ask how she ate for the day and it was always the same story. The owned seemed annoyed that I would ask so she sent me a schedule of what they would be eating for the month but yet it was always different. Very inconsistent. I would give this place no stars. It is with great pleasure that I write this review for Laugh N'Learn Bilingual Daycare. My daughter has been going to this daycare since May 2019- and this has been the best daycare for us. She initially went to a daycare facility in Bixby Knolls which I absolutely hated and so did my daughter. My daughter is now 1.5 years old and absolutely loves the kids and Ms. Eren! As a children social worker I feel like my job has impacted me on who I trust and don't trust with my baby girl, and Ms. Eren has reassured me my daughter is in the best hands. Initially like most children she had an adjustment period, but got use to it pretty quickly. My daughter is happy and thriving at daycare- she's learning and interacting with other children. She even says "byeee" to me when I drop her off and blows kisses goodbye, which gives me that peace of mind. When I pick her up, she also seems very happy and is excited to see mom and dad. So thank you Ms. Eren for your attention and care for our baby girl! I would recommend this place to any parent looking for a home daycare! read more

so I placed a call this Morning , greeting on phone is standard Not the Company Name. I left a voicemail Inquiring for a 5month old baby ( prices for a week). well I was given a call back on my voicemail and was told $180 a week under 24months. YIKES !!!! I have never ever paid over $135 a week , what a rip off . unless the daycare provider provides clothes, food and diapers for the baby, than id understand. but at 5months baby is still sleeping and eating majority of the day , ha, I refuse to pay that amount. i would rather be home bonding and not working because its convenient. I will unbookmark this...and not look any further into this daycare. maybe in the future when my son turns 4! thanks Erin but no thanks you are very EXPENSIVE! that's a tad off $800 a month ... reading a couple of comments here, there is no policy /rule that states you can't be there longer Than 30mins. if you are going to be there for 2hours or less its fine but if you plan on staying everyday for a couple of hours than a TB test is required. that is just simply ridiculous if you ask me! read more

I will preface my review by saying that my husband and I take a lot of pride in how we parent our daughter. We have done our research, read books, asked for advice from successful parents, etc. We are steadfast in our belief in raising our daughter without inflicting pain or instilling fear and have, thus far, been successful. She is a happy, confident, and smart 20 month-old girl. She has never been clingy or scared to be dropped off at previous daycares. If anything she was abnormally happy and would wave to us and yell "buh-bye!". My daughter started attending Laugh N Learn Daycare in the beginning of Sept 2014. She would attend only two days week for about 4 hours at a time. Within two weeks, we noticed some behavioral changes and abnormal marks on her when she came home. After the third week of attending the daycare, our daughter started to become very clingy and attached to me, both at home and when we would drop her off at the daycare at the gym. Both of these were extremely unusual for our always outgoing daughter. Upon doing more research, I found that these behavior changes can be indicative of children that have been abused. Furthermore, our daughter started to say "no, no, no!" as soon as we would pull up to Ms. Erin's house. While this did break our hearts to hear, we had no reason not to trust Ms. Erin and associated it with normal adjusting to daycare. On October 9th, when I picked my daughter up, her eyes were swollen. They looked like the eyes of a child that has been crying hard for a long time (this is also what another Yelp reviewer has said happened to her child). My motherly instinct kicked in and I quickly asked what had happened. One of her workers told me that she had just woke up and was crying for five minutes. I started to feel that uneasy feeling as though something had happened to my daughter and they weren't telling me the truth. Ms. Erin offered to show me the video (her house is filled with surveillance cameras) if I came back later. When I returned later that evening, we watched the video starting from when they put my daughter down for a nap and as I suspected, we saw one of her workers treating our daughter and other children in a manner that we feel is inappropriately. Due to the fact that there is an ongoing investigation into this matter, I will not go into full detail, but I will say that we were shocked and concerned enough to immediately withdraw our daughter from Laugh N Learn Daycare. I wanted to like this place, but it didn't work out that way. It's a nice house. The lady gave us a tour, and things looked good. The first red flag was when she told me I couldn't stay a while on the first day so my child would warm up to the place. She said it was to protect her license, but as far as I know, there should be a open door policy to patents. I also don't like the fact that her husband is around the home. I'm a mother of a child that attends here. Personally I wouldn't want parents sitting around while their child cries distracting Erin's schedule. I've never known Erin to not allow a child to acclimate. She's always been warm to all families. I'm sorry someone had a bad experience. She clearly doesn't have an understanding of the way this works. I'm a mother of 3. My youngest of 3 attends here. Erin started watching my daughter at 3 mo old. My daughter is now turning 2 in June. Erin holds a structured environment. She's in touch with all the children's safety. She teaches in both Spanish and English. My daughter is fluent in both languages thanks to Erin. My daughter can count to 12 in BOTH languages and sign the alphabet. Erin cooks health meals every day. She doesn't open a box of Mac and cheese then consider that a nutritional meal. She teaches exercise lesson, dance lessons, and fully interacts with her kids. She holds activities for holidays and birthdays. She will even throw 2 birthday parties in 1 wk so each child has their own birthday party. How many parents would do that for their own children? Not many. There are State required rules she has to abide by. Unfortunately, too many people can't grasp that concept. If you are looking for a daycare that will fully engage with your child, teach them how to speak, spell and socialize feed your child healthy meals and love them as a provider should, then this is the facility for you. read more

First and foremost, the negative previous review isn't detailed enough to take upon consideration. I've never met a daycare owner whom doesn't have family in and out of their home. Negative conscience obviously peeked? And of course you shouldn't be around the first time, common sense. Besides Ms Erin is extremely welcoming to family. She has laws and regulations to abide by. She's extremely organized also in which any professor in a college wouldn't want mommy sticking around the lesson as their newly adult child is in class. Same concept there. My son was a first timer at a ace with multiple kids, while at the same time left the binky and bottle in his first week their! Oh and to add he wasn't going to see mommy all morning and early afternoon anymore, and for him to adapt well and look forward to going there SHOULD count as thought to take into consideration. Anywho.... I called dozens of daycare and preschools for my 1 1/2 to son. As a first time parent I was obviously hesitant and picky in where and with whom I leave my son with. I got so many horrible replies, from ladies having the tv on full blast with soap operas to women that were RUDE! I had many questions and even got a "why do you ask so many questions, I have a legal business and if you want to come? Just come !" Response. I was devastated. I went to known facilities such as Montessori but they don't take children under 2yo and feed the kids junk for meals just to down the rest of the funds on other "necessities". Other day cares are way to expensive for having my son watched by an under paid employee, I don't want my son being mistreated from an individual whom doesn't like their due to pay! Well.. For whatever reason laugh and learn daycare popped up but didn't populate at first? It was my last option because I honestly didn't trust anyone prior to them and was a location that was in between mine and my husbands job location. Ms Erin answered the phone professionally and kindly. We set up an appointment and she was extremely detailed on her love of a career/business over the phone, but in moderation because she wanted us to meet her and see for ourselves what an amazing educational environment she has for her kids. Well family issues came towards my way. I didn't confirm the interest I had towards having my baby placed their, and for whatever reason I felt as if after almost a month passing she's be disappointed and no longer trust my word for lack of communication. BUT I WAS WRONG. She left me a voice mail and invited my immediate family for an event she had for Easter. (Didn't go) So I got a new position in the OC while living on LA. And had the guts in calling her to get the application and my son placed with her! She was more than happy to receive him for the trial and concerned in my well being. I don't usually write reviews, but I feel it is important to share how PLEASED I am with Mrs. Eren and her daycare. I have known Mrs. Eren for 3 years now and she has watched all 3 of my boys. I am extremely happy with her and with everything she does for not only my kids, but for all of the children in her daycare. What impresses me the most is that she follows a curriculum and teaches my boys many things in English and Spanish. She sings, does arts and crafts, takes them on field trips, and reads to them while acting out the story with the kids. She truly does more than just babysit my boys. I love the welcoming feeling of this daycare. We had our son here for a few months but unfortunately my wife and I had to relocate so we changed daycares, and now we appreciate even more what we had there. We miss everything there. Everything is neat and clean. I love the many years of experience of Mrs Erin reflected in the awesome curriculum, discipline and structured program she offers, staff is pretty awesome too, my wife and I were very satisfied and always felt this genuine connection with everyone there. I thought that this would be a good place for Tarek until a sequence of bad events started happening shortly after the first day into it. Be very aware of the women who owns it, she is a very greedy one. I will go down the list of events that made me remove him on the second week and let you decide for yourself. 1. No printed out paperwork or packets printed out for you to take home or sign there. She makes you print them out yourself and print them the day of. Which was difficult for me because I just moved and didn't set up my printer or internet yet. So I had to go to kinkos and the format she sends it in is PDF individual files for every paper.... so be ready so spend $ 20-30 buck at kinkos for time and paper. And don't do it before work work because it will make you late. It did for me. Not one but two packets. Very very color packets mind you. She will try and talk you into going full time, your child will get sick because the toys and equipment is very dirty and probably has not been cleaned for a while. By the smell of the place, it smells very dirty and is really hot. The toys all looked really broken and all the outdoor toys are faded and have not been replaced in years. The whole backyard is cement and have a pool that is locked up and teases the kids on hot days. No shade is available and your child will get sunburnt if he has light skin. I had to bring my own sunblock and ask her to put it on before he went outside because his redness caused concern.The first few days my son was red in all his pictures and looked like he was really dehydrated and hot. You would think with all that money they make from ripping people off they could at least afford a air conditioner for the kids. They also can hire a cleaning service to help clean up the kids area a little. Everything. Is super cluttered and dirty. She is very rude and unprofessional when it comes to payments. It totally put me off how she would not even greet me but ask about the next weeks check. Calm down money hungry crazy. My son missed a lot of days because of her unsanitary daycare and she still demanded three weeks of payments when my son literally only was there 5 days. 190 for full time is not worth it. Stay away from this place. My son also picked up some horrible manners while there. Worst daycare experience I had in my life. It's really disgusting when people get to caught up on payment rather then quality of care for the children. (To owner of laugh n play daycare) in response to your comment. My 2yr old son loves going to Laugh N Learn daycare. Ms.Erin is very structured and organized, she has daily activities for the children such as coloring letters & numbers, story time, educational games and even field trips. Birthday parties are so much fun, halloween was the best, every holiday is celebrated with so much enthusiasm a lot of fun for the kids. I shopped around for many weeks before coming across Laugh and Learn Daycare. My daughter started coming here 2 years ago until she began preschool. Now that my children are out of school for the summer, Eren is once again my childcare provider for my 3 children. Eren does a great job running her business. My daughter learned her numbers in both english and spanish, learned the alphabet in sign language, completes educational activities which is given to me at the end of each day, Eren introduced musical instruments and dancing, she taught her the basics in swimming which my daughter loved, she cooks healthy meals, her backyard is like a mini playground, and she also speaks to the children in spanish and that re-enforces the spanish I teach my children at home. All 3 of my children began attending daycare when they were 6 weeks old, so I know what to look for in a daycare. I drive about 30-45 minutes to get to Eren's house, but I wouldn't have it any other way because I know that my children are receiving the proper care they deserve. Since I started coming here 2 years ago, Laugh and Learn Daycare has grown. She went from having a license for only 7 children, and got approved to provide care for 14 children. She has hired assistants who do a great job and I have never experienced either of them nor Eren get frustrated or angry with the children. They are patient, kind and caring. I know almost all the parents who bring their children here, including Joyce S., who also wrote a review. I met her daughter when she was an infant and I have also seen her grow. The field trips, birthday and holiday celebrations are an added bonus. The fact that Eren goes out of her way to do things that are not even a part of her curriculum are beyond words. She is an amazing person who abides by the rules necessary to run a daycare and shows love to all her children. As for the person who wrote a negative review, I am sorry you had a bad experience but it normally takes children a couple of weeks to get used to the new environment and people/kids around them. You cannot rate a daycare facility based on one day because your cihld was crying, children cry, especially on a 1st day. Just as Joyce mentions, I would not want Eren to be distracted from taking care of the children just because you want to spend the day with your child. Not only would you be distracting her, but you would be distracting the other children, and would be preventing your child from acclimating. Our daughter has been going to Laugh N' Learn Daycare since she was 5 months and she loves it. We like their curricular program, potty training, field trips and being bilingual is a big plus. Ms Erin genuinely cares about the kids and have a wonderful and creative way of working with them. The lunch menu is very nice as well, mostly very healthy food. The fact that it is a family-run business makes it so much more appealing than some of the other 'chain' daycare centers in the area, it's a more homie relaxing environment; and the price is very comparable and reasonable for what they offer. This review will be based upon the experience I had over the phone with the owner Eren. I was going to enroll my kids here but it didn't work out because of the commute. I did have a very professional talk over the phone with Eren. I scheduled an appointment to come visit her daycare and she followed up and called back to confirm. But later in the day an hour before the appointment time I had to tell her I couldn't make it because my other little one didn't nap and had been riding around in the car with us for several hours doing errands with us that day. After doing my research on various daycare centers I couldn't find a better one that Laugh N Learn. Ms. Erin is very professional and very caring with all the children. I don't always write reviews on places or businesses. I believe in complementing or saying things in person that I might not agree with. My husband and I felt very content with Ms. Erin. Every time I would pick up my son he was happy and it took me a while to leave her house since he wanted to keep playing. I knew he was well fed and Ms. Erin helped him potty trained very well. As boys they take longer to learn. As of the facility, I knew my son was like he was at home. Ms. Erin made sure she made him feel comfortable and she would communicate anything to us that was going out during the day. She would tell us his progress or what he learned that day. The rates were very reasonable considering that she prepared them hot meals. Other places you have to take them their lunch which makes it harder for working parents. In general I felt safe leaving my son with Ms. Erin and her assistants. The best part was she teaches them Spanish which it helps immensely in the kids development. Location is in a very nice area of Lakewood. Building comes with A/C so when your kids go on Summer Break they will be very comfortable. Facility comes with a pool for children when it gets hot. A child's mind is like a sponge. So the fact that the kids get the best of both languages is a positive. Meals are very nutritious. Just from what I hear. I don't write reviews on Yelp, but in light of the most recent review, I felt I needed to contribute my positive experience with this daycare. My child has been attending this daycare since the age of 3 months - she is now 2 years old. My kid was able to use sign language to communicate "eat", "more", "all done" at 8 months old - she learned this at daycare. Now at 2 years old, she can count to 13 in both english and spanish. I feel the daycare staff are caring and attentive. I check in on my kid while I'm at work and the daycare staff are very communicative. My kid enjoys this daycare and has never demonstrated any signs of anxiety or fear. She has gone through some separation anxiety, but this is very typical for my child's age group. My kid is thriving and healthy and I'm sure this daycare plays a role in that. read more

My son loves going, he comes back saying new things he learned and always has a big smile whenever we go pick him up. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and do a lot for the kids. The kids go on field trips and are taught English Spanish and Sign Language, they help with a potty training program they genuinely care for the kids. They celebrate the children's birthdays with cake and a small bouncy house and just overall make the kids feel special. As a parent you are always thinking the best for your children and when it comes to childcare its top priority. I've looked at many different avenues around the area and they are as different as can be. One thing that was common is that it's usually a big group of children tied to a small group of adults. I'll admit the prospect of a much smaller setting is attractive to me as I would like my child to be watched closely and more intimately. One of my children is in need of potty training while the other is still working on getting food in his mouth by himself. Both of which small goals that Eren and her staff were able to get my children to accomplish. Their communication has also expanded, the little one learned to sign for "more". One morning after he finished his milk, I made the sign for more and he just stood there looking at me with a face Iv'e never seen before. I think he is more amazed at me that I knew the sign for more, then he laughed and repeated the sign back to me. My other one will at random start to speak Spanish and is constantly asking me, "How do you say "x" in Spanish?" So I think Eren is doing a great job at engaging them. My daughter knew the alphabet before starting to go here and now I get an activity sheet with her actually writing the letters of the alphabet. They have been going for over a month now and I have no reservations taking my kids here. I will recommend her to anyone that would asks me if I knew of any good quality daycare providers. read more

I too have a child that attends Ms. Eren's Daycare & let me tell you, being a 1st time parent & new to the area I did my homework when I started looking for somewhere to send my daughter. I couldn't have made a better choice for her. After being home with her for almost 2 yrs I thought it was going to be hard on her with the transition but boy was I so wrong. The evening I went to see the place & have my daughter have a little one on one time with Ms. Eren, she warmed up to her real quick & when she first started a few months ago, she cried because she didn't want to leave from there :) Ms. Eren & her assistants go above & beyond for the kids as you can see from the other mothers comments on what she does. I think it's awesome that my daughter is learning Spanish & that They're not just sitting in front of tv all day, they're always kept busy.
