This was one of the closest grocery stores, so we decided to make the 20ish minute drive to grab some things. There was a ton of parking, and prices were average grocery store prices. We went in the afternoon, and the store was not packed. The store is well stocked, so we were able to find everything we were looking for. Everything was well organized and clean. They had multiple cashiers and lanes open to check out. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes.

They also have farm-fresh buttermilk and butter that is fantastic. Reasonable prices and the husband and wife that own/run the store are really nice and accommodating. We wanted to purchase 2 bottles of wine and were denied the ability to purchase because I didn't have a "physical copy" of my ID on hand. However I did have a picture of my ID verifying my age to show I'm well over 21. (He is Filipino and I am African American). This is a case of discriminatory harassment based on our ethnicities as to why we weren't able to complete our purchase. The assistant manager, sales manager, and front end U scan attendant were extremely rude and caused a scene in front of the entire store. The behavior was extremely rude and considered harassment how the situation was handled. The assistant manager even confirmed that he wouldn't assist us in completing the purchase because it was "against store policy." This was later rephrased to, "she's not comfortable selling to you and nor will I." The front end U scan attendant then shouted at my boyfriend when he tried to make the purchase at a different checkout aisle, "I SAW YOU TRY TO GO THROUGH SELF CHECKOUT AND MY ASSOCIATE REFUSED TO SELL YOU THE WINE. SO YOU AREN'T GOING TO GO THROUGH MY LINE!" My boyfriend then placed the bottles down and left the store. Clinchfield Food City management needs to trained on discrimination policies and how to better assist their customers. We would like a formal apology for the behavior as it is unacceptable and has put a bad taste in our mouths with the company image that is Food City. For the record, we did get wine from a lovely liquor store up the street that was more than happy to sell us two bottles so we could enjoy our evening. My ID was not an issue at this establishment either. DO NOT GO TO THIS FOOD CITY IF YOU ARE A MINORITY!

If you live nearby like say, Allandale Falls, and you don't have the ability to drive, this grocery is within walking distance. As an add bonus, it's nearby some food establishments like Waffle House, Pizza Hut, and McDonalds. So you can get some lunch and some groceries. You'll quickly discover that a lot of food items here are the same items you'll find at the Walmart up the street but for a cheaper price. You might not be able get home appliances there like you can at Walmart, but it's still really helpful. Given how inflation is these days, food is expensive. Everything is expensive. But this store charges a fair and reasonable price for all of it's goods. Here's an example. For a small bottle of Milk, at Weigel's, you can expect to pay like $2. At Price Less Foods, for the same item, you'll pay under $1. I mean you can't make this stuff up. This place is deserving of more business. 5/5 stars. EDIT: For a place that claims to be hiring and has open interviews on Mondays, this place sure is selective who gets hired. So I decided to look into it for an inside scoop. I can thank my husband for this. A fellow employee of his work, has a friend who works at this store and thanks to them, I've gotten an inside scoop. First off, employees get paid a meager $9 an hour which isn't even close to cutting it for making livable wage. On top of that, the manger I'm being told is outright HOMOPHOBIC. Which would explain a lot. I know someone on a personal level who put in an app and over a month later it's been ignored. Not even a call back. That's discrimination which is ILLEGAL. That's a corporate call waiting to happen. Seriously, are you THAT bothered by Gay Relationship? You know I'm in a Gay Marriage. Do you have an issue with me? I was beyond offended when my insider provided me this intel. You could be doing so much better like working at the Arby's down the street for $11 an hour. Good people. Non toxic work environment unlike here. They claim to be "Your 5 star store" but if you check here, they ain't even close to "Five Stars".
