I really want to give this group more, and I'm hoping to change this review up barring any more…read morebungles, but today's visit was too frustrating to let bygones be bygones. We're new to the area and found Dr. Peterson through our insurance network. We love Dr. Peterson, and we love her assistant, Justine. For the most part the front desk seems efficient enough - my only interaction being checking in and out, and they always seem slammed so really not too much to go on at this point. I show up today with my daughter in tow for scheduled shots. Long story short, the doctor who was supposed to sign off on these shots got called away on an emergency. Of course, I understand that; things happen. However, I was not notified of this and had not only made the twenty-minute trek to the office on time but had also rearranged my schedule last week when making this appointment, only to be told of the emergency in that moment and "could we reschedule?", as if I had a choice. Life is hectic, this I know, and is always full of little interruptions and changes. The front desk of any medical office is always buzzing, but it's really poor form to overlook giving scheduled patients a head's up on changes to their appointments. It's making me nervous that we've just recently established ourselves with this group and are already having to deal with something like this. I guess I'll have to set a reminder to call before our appointment to ensure that someone will be available as scheduled. But then, wouldn't that mean that I'm actually doing their work for them? Like I said, I really want to like this group...

We were recently devastated when Dignity Health informed us she was leaving their practice. now we need to find a new pediatrician. I'm heart broken... I keep hoping we will be able to find her and have her as our pediatrician again.

I do regret that I forgot the doctor's name who took care of my daughter. She had great bedside manners and gave me time to ask questions. Although Rainbow Pediatric Urgent Care isn't our primary care office, it is always comforting to know they can see you in a heartbeat. I absolutely recommend this pediatric urgent care.

DO NOT COME HERE if you are paying out of pocket…read more I brought my daughter in for possible strep throat and specifically told the front desk we did not have insurance and would be self-pay. Before agreeing to treatment, I asked for pricing and was quoted $125. I paid the $125 at check-in. The visit lasted roughly 10 minutes. The strep test was negative, no medication was prescribed, and no meaningful treatment plan or follow-up guidance was provided. Weeks later, I received an additional bill for $510, bringing the total charge to $635 for a very basic urgent care visit. I have since contacted their billing department directly and filed a BBB complaint, and I have received absolutely no response. Self-pay patients deserve FULL pricing transparency BEFORE treatment -- not surprise bills weeks later. Had I been informed the actual cost would exceed $600, I would not have consented to treatment at this facility. I will also be filing complaints with the Nevada Attorney General and Nevada health/licensing agencies regarding the lack of billing transparency.
